This is after paying that much already for attic remediation, which after seeing the work was not worth the extreme expense, nor hassle the company will put you through. Nearly every time I called for service that was botched. Either they came on the wrong days, or came to do the wrong service. Would then say they would need to charge me to come out on the correct days or do the correct service, but would then "make exceptions" after I would complain to the owner that it's their mistake, not mine. When I would point out they are trying to charge customers for their own errors everyone would say it's just company policy. Buy they'd make a big deal about making an exception for this one time, like I should be grateful. Gopher service was also a nightmare. After not taking care of the gopher over multiple visits they stopped coming. When I called to ask why they stopped coming, and pointed out that they said they guaranteed the work, they said oh then it must be different gophers in the same spots and same behavior somehow, which conveniently isn't covered. Was told I had to pay for a second gopher service for them to finish the job. After wearing me down with argument after argument I just caved and paid for the second service to get the gopher removed out of exhaustion and desperation. Stupid of me, I know. For the quarterly service they do not top up the bait stations every time, and the spider spray does not work. Went to go cancel and surprise, you guessed it, they want to charge a cancellation fee that's more than the quarterly service itself. Everyone at the company will point the finger at someone else for the constant mistakes and failures, and they are hidden fees and charges everywhere, it's so exhausting I just got tired of dealing with them, which honestly I think is part of their playbook. The tipping point for me leaving this review was the attic repair estimate. After seeing how they quoted me $6,000 for a $350 repair that was the nail in the coffin that they were absolutely taking advantage of us the whole time. I would never recommend.

We set up an initial inspection that included education on termites and how to eradicate them. Sean even did an attic inspection and exterior perimeter measurement, which other companies wouldn't do without an upfront inspection fee. Sean will give you his honest opinion based on what he discovers during the inspection and is not pushy nor does he hide any costs, which were the best based on my research. The bees made a hive by entering 3 vents holes on the side of the house under the eaves into the attic. He explained he would have to remove the roof tile and make a hole to remove the hive. Once he removed the hive, the bees swarmed out. We did not realize how big of a problem this could have turned out, seeing how many came out. He put insulation and mesh inside the vent to prevent future bees, repaired the roof and left it better than when he arrived. He explained everything, provided insight on bee behavior and gave us fresh honey. I feel better knowing they will be relocated to Lake Hughes and not exterminated.

It's been 5 years and we've had plenty of people up in our attic since Rodent Masters completed our job and any time someone goes up there, I beg them to check and double check to ensure there are no rodent droppings. During this time, we have not heard a peep in the attic which is a complete 180 from what we were hearing before - it always sounded like the rats were having a party up there in the middle of the night. The process took about a month from start to finnish because the first thing they do is cover and patch all holes or entrances up so that nothing can get in (or out) and not just outside of the house but inside the attic and inside every single area from within the house. It's a LOT of work but they did it very well. Then, they came back and, in our case, because things were so bad, they sucked out all of the insulation and then reinsulated the entire attic with much higher quality material than what had been removed. Then they came back on final time to ensure there was no activity. So, I have no reason not to continue recommending Rodent Masters and I have for the last 5 years. I do think I will contact them soon though just to have someone do a walk around to ensure there are no new holes that have developed since they were last here. Highly recommend and I'm glad to see that the reviews continue to be outstanding since the one I gave 5 years ago!

What I don't understand is if the EPA is making it impossible for your company to do what it's tasked with doing then why be in business at all? A lot of companies would have tried to keep a customer by--well first of all being nice and even a tiny bit contrite god forbid--but maybe even throwing some bones, like offering some free service, or maybe not charge for the extra traps which didn't work anyways. It wouldn't come close to what we had to play for the damage but it would have been a sign of goodwill that would have been much appreciated. In fact this is a very, very common practice in business customer service, the idea being that nothing is more important than developing life-long customers, who, even if they are upset, would at the very least not give your company any bad press. But I just need people to know that if they hire this company you may still have significant and costly damage. In fact in the many years before we first hired a pest control company we never had any issues like this. So again I ask myself, what is the point in paying a company to control rodents when the exact thing that did not happen in this case was to control rodents?! And you'll likely have terrible customer service to boot. Martin and his team came​ out for two days of cleaning, hole patching, trap setting of the attic, garage and exterior house. Martin and his team did an amazing job in a timely manner. They were able to address our concerns in real time and went above and beyond to make sure our house was safe from further rat infestations. Overall everyone at this company was great to work with when we had questions (and we had plenty). Our attic is about 700 sq ft, and the house is about 1400 sq ft. The cost was about $10,700 which included asbestos clean out, attic clean out, rat containment, decontamination, rodent proofing of the attic and exterior, furnace closet clean out and proofing (bc the rats got into it), garage cleaning/decontamiation/proofing, reinstalling insulation and ducts, 2 year warranty AND a custom outside door that goes from the garage to the side of the house (not main garage door if that makes sense). It might seem pricey but in comparison to a different company in our area who quoted around the same price but didnt actually go into the attic to see what was up (aka didnt see the extent of damage/didnt know asbestos was there/ didnt know we would need the new ducts so didnt quote for that) and didnt have the additional custom door, picking Green Rodent was a no brainer.
