I couldn't have transported my pet, Florence, to London without Denise. She was amazing from start to finish and was there for me when I needed to verify things on the day of the flight. She took all the stress off of me trying to coordinate flights, vet visits, and health certifications and was in constant contact to make sure we were on schedule for everything. She kept in contact with the team across the pond to make sure Florence's reception went well. This kind of travel can be stressful for any kind of pet and she gave me documentation with tips on how to make it easier for her as well as what I needed to do for her crate to pass inspection.....and we did. The transport company at the airport was impressed with everything we had ready for them. After a failed attempt using an LA based company to get my dog to the Middle East with me. I had to fly him back home to my parents house. However, the airline could only get him to Atlanta and he needed to be in Nashville. Pet Air Carriers took care of absolutely everything with the paperwork that I already had. They kept me informed every step of the way. He even came in on a different flight than was scheduled and Anita, the driver took special care that he had a place to stay overnight before the drive to Atlanta. I couldn't have done this last minute without PAC and I wouldn't recommend any other company to handle your pet's transportation needs. read more

Pet Air Carrier was an absolute godsend! I transported my six cats, from TX to NH, and through every step they were there holding my hand, and smoothing the way. Any time I had to contact them, whether on the phone, or through email, they promptly responded in a courteous, and professional manner. No question, or concern, was ever too small, or left unanswered. Getting an estimate was super easy, and it was basically spot on. I utilized their door to door transport, and they tracked every step of my cats' journey, and kept me informed every step of the way. After losing my husband in the spring, I decided that I wanted to return from the US to my family home in England, but I had no idea how I would take Mabel (our dog) with me, and I was not going to leave her behind. I researched some pet transportation companies. Pet Air Carrier were by far the most knowlegable and helpful - I knew from my first call with them that they would take care of me and my 4 legged baby. Denise and Anita were absolutely wonderful - holding my hand every step of the way - very quick to respond to emails and questions, and believe me I had a lot of questions! They made the whole process so easy - filling out the forms needed, and working so closely with my vet that all I had to do was ensure that Mabel was at the vet for the necessary appointments then drop off the completed paperwork for the USDA in a FedEx mailbox. Anita picked up Mabel at the house the morning of her travel and I knew right away that she would take care of my baby - and she did - even sending pictures of her when they stopped for potty breaks on the way to the airport. Anita texted me when Mabel had been checked in with Lufthansa to let me know all was well. The next communication was from the PAC representative in Frankfurt to my family to let them know Mabel had arrived safely. She had a layover in Frankfurt for a few hours then flew on to Heathrow where once again, a PAC representative contacted my family to let them know she had arrived and would be ready to be picked up in a few hours. When she finally came through the doors to my family, she was ecstatic to see them - you would never have believed that she is over 11 and had just traveled halfway across the world!! She is loving country life in England!!!! I cannot say enough great things about PAC - if you need to transport your pets anywhere, you cannot go wrong using this wonderful company whose employees obviously love what they do and are extremely good at it! I am so grateful to Pet Air Carrier. Denise was truly a godsend, and of course Janice, the operations manager. I felt as though my lab retriever mix, Sky and I were in good hands. To make a long story short, after 4 months of preparations to move from Atlanta, GA to Paris, France, everything went down the drain right AFTER we checked in for our flight. A certain airline changed their policy the day before on accepting mixed breeds and did not accept my dog on the flight because of the way he "looked", the airline officer even told me there was a chance my dog would get destroyed upon his arrival in Paris!!! I was so shaken up and had to get my luggage back and find a new plan and fast! I called Pet Air Carrier, as I had sent out requests for quotes a few months prior to a few companies and this one was the most appealing. As the charges were not in my budget, I chose to take it on myself. All I can say is that when I hung up the phone with them, they were my only sign of hope. You could feel that they were really feeling for me, relating to me and willing to help in any way!! It felt like we had been friends before! Not in a superficial, "we want your business" kind of way, but like they really cared! In the end, they made the process happen in 5 DAYS!!!! Called every connection they had, as it wasn't easy. Denise texted me after hours, to ensure I was alright and literally all along my trip with updates of Sky as she received them. They put themselves out there, not to mention they basically met my budget, I was flabbergasted! Sky and I have happily arrived, he is as energetic as ever. I chose Pet Air Carrier (PAC) because they were in my local area and they took the time to explain things over the phone the first time my vet called them. I was needing their services to ship my Golden Retriever and my cat from Georgia (U.S.) to Rome, Italy. After paying the deposit of $250 and becoming a client of PAC, things took a slight turn for the worse. There were numerousoccasions where I had to leave multiple phone/email messages in order to get a response. Communication was not their strong suit. During one phone conversation, the employee I was speaking with was taking quite an attitude with me. I actually told her to calm down and that there was no need to be short with me. There were other times where three different employees called me within two hours of each other, giving me mixed information. (One told me that my animals were never dropped off at the boarding facility, one told me that they were and that everything was fine and on track, and the third told me that there was a problem with my credit card. I got all three messages as I landed in Italy!) I was also told that the animals would clear customs in Frankfurt on their overnight layover at the animal facility. When they arrived in Italy, they had not cleared customs and I had to go from office to office in Italy before getting them. All the while, they sat in their kennels in a warehouse. This process took about three hours. (This was not the fault of PAC, I realize, but I had been told that this would be taken care of in Frankfurt so I was slightly annoyed. All of that being said, it was clear that PAC does in fact care about the animals they service. They do seem to know what the requirements of the foreign governments were. All of the paperwork that arrived with the animals was in good order. The animals were not stressed and the airfare was actually cheaper than I had originally been quoted. Pet Air Carrier seems to have the animal care, paperwork and shipping down to a science. They could use some customer service improvements. With better communication and some better people skills (from one person in particular), I would rate them 5 stars. read more

WARNING TO ALL CONSUMERS WITH PETS CONSIDERING USING THIS SERVICE TO TRANSPORT YOUR PETS: DO NOT EVER USE THIS SERVICE!!! Below is a copy of the Complaint which I have filed with the Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau, and IPATA. If I had trusted this company, I would have shown up in Atlanta with my two dogs to fly to Saudi Arabia for a permanent job relocation and had to leave them in the airport. They had me book an itinerary that was never a possibility to begin with, and then lied and dropped the ball consistently for the past 6 weeks since I signed a service agreement with them. I contacted my travel agent, whom I have used for years, to ask his advice on how best to handle the upcoming relocation of my two dogs to Saudi Arabia. He found Pet Air Carrier, LLC, located in Roswell, Georgia, and had a long conversation with one of their employees, Pam, on June 11th, in which she provided him with the itinerary I should book that would work best for the transport of my dogs to Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Pam informed my travel agent that I should plan to fly out of Atlanta instead of my current residence of Charlotte (which is 5 hours from where I currently reside and could have much more easily departed from Charlotte, NC). I was assured that flying Lufthansa out of Atlanta, then a 6 hour layover in Frankfurt, and finally flying into Dammam would be the best route for the safe and secure transport of my pets. I checked to make sure this company was approved and certified by the IPATA, and they were. So, I felt good about moving forward with retaining their services. What has transpired from June 11th until yesterday afternoon has been woefully negligent and a complete and unlawful misrepresentation of the services outlined in their contract. As of today, July 22, 2015, more than 6 weeks after I engaged the services of Pet Air Carrier, LLC, I have no ability or options to take my pets with me when leave for a permanent job assignment. Absolutely NOTHING has been done correctly or in a timely fashion as promised to me in my service agreement with this company. So that I do not have to abandon my pets in the U.S., I am desperately looking into other last minute and costly options so that they can accompany me. Janice, Pam, Denise and the rest of the crew at Pet Air Carrier have dropped the ball, lied to me consistently, and put my entire relocation in dire jeopardy. I confirmed with Lufthansa directly yesterday that the flight itinerary provided to me and booked back in June was absolutely not possible, and that they have no clearance to fly any animals into Dammam. The information I had been given by Pam at Pet Air Carrier was completely WRONG and nobody bothered to check with the airline directly. Despite repeated assurances that everything was moving forward, now, two weeks out from my departure, I have now discovered that nothing has been done, and that despite repeated reminders of my itinerary, nobody in the office even knew what airline I was flying on. This company should be ashamed of its behavior. They have completely jeopardized my job transfer to Saudi Arabia and have put my beloved pets in harm by their complete lack of appropriate action on my service contract. I am now two weeks out from my departure, and despite more than a month of follow-up and repeated requests for updates, my dogs cannot fly with me on the itinerary I was told to book specifically so they could accompany me. I will also add that as of the filing of this complaint, NOBODY at Pet Air Carrier has contacted me to apologize, offer alternate options or routes, or to offer their assurance they intend to rectify this situation. I have been forced to move forward with another carrier and pay very costly expedited fees. The last comment I received from Janice was that the fact Lufthansa WOULDN'T fly to Dammam was "news to them", which I find utterly shocking, considering they are supposed to be experts in this industry, and assured me everything was moving forward and would be handled with the utmost care. I would advocate that this company lose its IPATA certification immediately, and that organization warn potential customers that this company CANNOT ship pets with any accuracy anywhere. If I had showed up at the airport believing all of the lies that this horrendous service had told, I would have had to abandon my pets in the airport in Atlanta 5 hours from my home! This is NOT the type of service that anyone should certify or vouch for. I am also attaching 21 pages of emails between Janice and Denise with Pet Air Carrier and myself, demonstrating that in 6 weeks, nobody even contacted the airline on my behalf. Not only do I intend to pursue a refund, I intend to pursue additional reimbursement from this company so that they can cover my now crisis-level expenses incurred in trying to rectify this situation on my own. read more

We have used PAC twice now. They are the best! We returned from Germany with three dogs. One of our bulldogs has a heart condition and has had a heart valvuloplasty procedure. Janice and the PAC team provided outstanding customer service with updates during the entire journey (from doorstep to doorstep). We would not trust our dogs with any other carrier. In addition to the return from Germany, we purchased another pup and had her transported from a farm in Pennsylvania to our home in Florida. Again, Janice was phenomenal in making the arrangements around the summer heat embargoes for our girl to arrive safe and sound. Title: Nightmare Experience with Pet Air Carrier (PAC) Bottom line: I do not recommend using PAC for any service. Our experience with PAC was not only unprofessional, but put our animals in extreme danger. Anyone considering using a pet relocation service to facilitate your pet's travel is investing a lot of money for the care of your pet and the piece of mind that a knowledgeable professional is handling the process. YOU WILL NOT GET THIS WITH PAC. First, they booked our pets on a flight that did not exist. This caused them to have to stay in Nairobi for 2.5 extra days. Secondly, They advertise that they have 24/7 tracking of pets, this is a lie. First, they would not allow us to book pet travel on a weekend because they were closed. Secondly, they were not tracking our pets when the time zone did not work for them. They lost our pets in Nairobi and had no idea where they were for almost an entire day. It could have even been more than a day because we can't truly believe anything they tell us. They gave us the name of a boarding service where our pets were supposed to be and we called to check on them and the vet said that she didn't have out pets!!!!!! PAC did not even double check where our animals were. It turns out they were still at the airport. Third, they claim to have "partners" all over the world. They obviously do not, because their so called "partner" tried to extort money from us even after we had paid PAC who in turn claims that they paid the "partner." They blamed all of the issues on it being a "third world country." These people have probably never left Georgia and should not claim to be able to transport ANYTHING ANYWHERE. We did not receive the services we paid for. We paid $3,600.00 for services that were not rendered and put our pets in grave danger. It was a very real possibility that we would have never seen our pets again. That is the reality of it. Finally, I will again state, in no uncertain terms, that your pet is in danger if you use this company. read more

We used Pet Air Carrier to facilitate the transportation of our English Mastiff (Einstein) from the mainland US to Hawaii. Given his large size, arranging his transportation with the airline was not straightforward. PAC helped us with specifications for our carpenter to build a custom crate that would fly, and negotiated directly with the airline on our behalf. In our case, there were a number of unexpected hurdles (unclear/changing requirements) probably related to a recent merge of airlines - PAC spent hours on the phone all the way through the end to ensure that Einstein would be able to get on the plane. We very much appreciate the time they put into getting Einstein on the plane safely! Also, the final price was pretty darned close to the initial quote, even with all the changes. read more

Pet Air Carrier (PAC) was to ship my pets from New Orleans, LA to Milan, Italy. I was originally quoted $2300. After a few details were changed I was re-quoted by PAC's owner at $1250. He stated this was a ball park total. I prepared everything for shipment exactly as instructed by PAC. I emailed PAC all the required documents to make sure everything was prepared exactly the way it was supposed to be. An agent told me everything was in order. They shipped out of NO, LA on 13 April 2011. Their first stop was Atlanta where they were taken in to custody by PAC. PAC called and told me everything was in order, and that the cats would be on their way to Frankfurt. PAC had all the documents the cats would need in order to process in to Europe. In Frankfurt, the cats were stopped by the veterinarian because a specific shot record was not included with their documents. The record wasn't included because PAC never told me it was required, and because PAC didn't notice the missing record when they had the cats in Atlanta prior to travel. The vet stated the cats would be sent back to the USA without the proper record, and the owner, told me that I was responsible for this mistake. The owner also stated I would be financially accountable for this trip. I did not feel comfortable continuing to do business with PAC due to their unprofessional and incompetent behavior. I retrieved the appropriate record from my cats' vet and had it delivered to the vet in Frankfurt. The cats were delivered to Milan a day late. The party responsible for picking up the cats made a trip to Milan on the scheduled date for pick up. They had to make a second trip the following day. I had to pay for those trips. PAC charged me over $1600 for their services. They did not complete business as planned. At no point did they offer to reduce the cost of their services. They never accepted responsibility for not completing the job. They charged me $400 above their quoted price. read more

Pet Air Carrier was outstanding providing us service to ship our puppy to Brazil in such short time. I had one week to ship our Weimaraner to Brazil because he was going to turn 12 weeks and after that we would have to wait 40 days due to the Rabies shot. Pet Carrier team was fantastic! Made all happen without a glitch. Their customer service is excellent and the entire process was perfect. Definetly would recommend them to anybody that loves and cares for your pets and need to ship them! read more

Poor customer service. Information is unclear and inconsistent. Every time I called, I was told a different quote, then made to feel like I was taking advantage of them when one of their agents gave me a low quote. The purpose of their role in the shipping process was unclear and when questioned, they became defensive. Fees from Atlanta to Europe are outrageous as they are the only broker for pet cargo for Luftansa Airlines in the Atlanta area. If you can work it out, try to fly your pet as checked baggage on your flight and you'll only pay 1/3 of what Pet Air Carrier is charging and you'll be spared the headache. My dog and I found ourselves in a truly horrendous situation a few weeks ago. We were traveling from Panama to Dublin, in-transit Atlanta. To spare the gory details, I had to continue on my journey to Ireland alone, leaving my dog in Atlanta to have new documentation and shipping arrangements put together. This was not how I had planned it. I had no idea how to do this from an airport hotel room in a foreign city. In an emergency situation and under time pressure I rang 5 animal transport companies, who either put me on hold or did not answer the phone. My sixth call was to Pet Air Carrier. Janice answered the phone on the first ring. Within the next 45 minutes Janice and Pam had assessed the situation, put together a plan of action and provided a ball park estimate of costs. Under four hours after the first contact Ron arrived at my hotel and picked up my dog, Mina. Ron was patient and took his time with my Mina, gaining her trust. I was heartbroken to see Mina drive off, but I knew she was in the best possible hands. Mina needed to stay another 7 days in Atlanta. During this period Pet Air Carrier were excellent providing updates on Mina's mood and welfare. Absolutely first class. They communicated status updates on Mina and also her shipping dates and progress reports on her documentation....all without being requested. I do not once recall asking for information. It was always provided before I asked for it. In addition to the highest professional standards, there was an over-riding sense of people who care deeply for animals. A few days before Mina's arrival in Dublin, Dean Lowe of ELF became involved. Dean maintained the same superb professional standards and care until Mina was delivered to our home with the swagger of a great adventure under her belt. When Ron picked up Mina the estimate of costs was US$2,603. The final cost was US$2,535. From the start I knew I was dealing with straight shooters and I trusted them implicitly. My trust was well founded, in the area of costs and all other aspects. Finding Pet Air Carrier was truly a moment of great good fortune. I will never forget how I began the morning of July 29th. Our experience with Pet Air Carrier was wonderful. Pets were transported from St. Louis to CA. Everyone at PAC was professional, courteous, and informative. We received an estimate within hours. Communications via email and telephone were well handled. Airline approved crates were delivered to us. They were sturdy and spacious, and contained everything needed. The pets were picked up at the house in St. Louis, transported by air (Delta), and delivered to their new home. Our pets arrived at their new home happy, healthy, and safe. Their whereabouts throughout the day were communicated to us. We will definitely use them again! read more

First off- STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Probably the worst experience of my life. Shipped my animals to Australia. I had a short time frame so really ended up using them by default. Initially quoted a price which was quickly surpassed as soon as they have your credit information in which they then charge at their discretion. Nancy the lady in charge is NUTS. She is emotionally unstable and will not answer her phone. She even threatens to leave at the airport your animals if she is upset with you. Basically I had to coordinate my animals transport to Australia from CA after they messed up the process getting them from the east coast. It was one of the most emotional and stressful experiences of my life. Take my word for it- this is one of if not the worst pet transport companies around. Like the other reviewer, Pet Air Carrier proved themselves rude, unprofessional and incompetent in my dealings with them. I had to continually e-mail, call and practically beg them for information I was paying them a hefty price to provide. When I finally did get someone to answer questions, they consistently had an attitude that I was bothering them and they were very brusque and short, even saying, "you sound like you're getting irritated with me," after arguing with me about information I got straight from the USDA regarding shipping my dog-- information that they had INCORRECT. Who are you going to trust-- an official USDA veterinarian, or a bunch of totally rude and unorganized, random people in Roswell? $2500 to be treated like I was pestering them to get up and book a flight for my dog already? After signing all the required agreements and giving them a credit card number to charge, they still did not book a flight to ship my dog, despite having a full week to do so and knowing full well that time was running very short. On top of their total lack of respect for their customers, a lot of the information they provided was incorrect and/or poorly researched, including not informing me of a document that would be needed for shipping my dog. Their whole job was to provide this information! I finally found another agent to ship my dog, thankfully-- one who managed to do all the work they were supposed to, and do it courteously and efficiently over the holiday weekend, no less. I don't normally leave reviews but PAC did such an amazing job on getting my pups from Texas to Germany I had to make one. When we found out that our pups couldn't go on the plane with us total freak out happen. It was our 1st time moving the pups to Germany and didn't know where to start. So I went online and started looking on shipping company and reviews. I didn't find a lot on PAC and the ones that I found weren't all that great. But after taking to Denise she made me feel so much better about going with them. I totally recommend PAC. Denise help me from start to finish. She help me not freak out about having my pups fly alone to Frankfurt and keep me up to date with everything. She took care of everything here at Frankfurt. When I got to the airport the day my pups got there they had someone wait for me to help me with everything. They sat us down in a waiting area while he went and took care of everything. It was so amazing knowing that all the vet and custom paper work was taking care of by a local so language wasn't an issues. It took him a little while to get everything done but when he return and said pups were all set we can go get them down stairs it was the best feeling knowing that I wasn't alone and my pups were safe here with me. If this ever happens again that we can not ship our pups with us I'm for sure getting ahold of PAC with Denise and use them. We also stayed with I'm our quote that they originally gave us so that's a big plus. read more
