She didnt respond on my voice mail or email. Then, I finally got a text (no pictures). When i came back, i was assured my dog adjusted well. I saw that his nose was all rubbed against the bedding in his crate. I have no idea how much exercise he got since i havent received any pictures or updates. The hair grew out between his paw pads, means he wasn't running much. The first day at home he had lots of energy. I was expecting him to be exhausted. Since, when i got there, there were only crated dogs, i have no idea about their daily schedule. My dog wasn't as Happy as usaly when he got home previously from other dog boarders. I am conserned since i have gotten no updates and i know she has a full time job beside boarding dogs. There were a tone of them, barking inside... positives: well orgenized, very clean, friendly.

Somewhere there's a lawyer who's never met a dog and decided the real threat to this business is the guy who's paid them loyally for three years. You carefully fill out the entire grooming form online, pick every option -- then show up and they shove a paper copy across the counter to sign the exact same thing again. And after all that paperwork, they still claim they don't have the phone number they've had on file for three years and called me on before. Let's put this in perspective. I can order dinner to my door in two taps -- Reorder, Apple Pay, done. A stranger drives hot food across town on the strength of my thumbprint. But dropping off dogs these people have known for three years apparently requires a signing ceremony and a fresh liability waiver every single visit. In 2026, that's not caution. That's a business that's forgotten how to trust its own customers. And then there's the membership -- the crown jewel of contempt. They took a system that worked and actively torched it. Gone are the daycare credit packs: fair, flexible, buy-what-you-need, the way a business treats people it respects. In their place, a pricier monthly "membership" that auto-drafts your card whether your dog walks through the door or not, with no rollover for the days you paid for and never used. Read that again: you pay, they keep it, your dog gets nothing, and they call it a perk. It's not a membership -- it's a standing withdrawal from your bank account with a bow on it. It punishes the exact people who kept this place in business: the regulars whose lives don't run on a fixed weekly schedule. Some months my dogs come once, some months five times, because that's how actual life works -- and this program is built to make sure I lose either way. It doesn't serve pets. It doesn't serve owners. It serves a spreadsheet, and it treats every loyal customer as a recurring charge to be maximized rather than a person to be valued. It is, top to bottom, the most openly hostile "loyalty" scheme I've ever been asked to fund. When customers spend more time signing forms and fighting your billing than petting their dogs, you're not a pet resort -- you're a law firm with a kennel attached. Take your pets somewhere that still remembers what the word "customer" means.

The Webcam was also turned off several times, so now I'm worried that he was already sick there and they were hiding that from me. Especially considering the price, I 100% *do not recommend* this place at all. These people are dishonest and not worthy of your money.

We went on vacation to OC - she came to take care of the usual for our cats & our bunny. Andrea alerted us a few days in that our bunny was not drinking enough water in her opinion. Long story short, his on-again / off-again ear troubles (he's an elderly lop-ear) had become a serious ear infection. When his normal vet said they were too booked/understaffed to take him, Andrea drove him to the nearest vet that would work on a bunny - 40 minutes away! She not only stayed with him, conferred with the vet, got all his meds, but she took him home with her! (Disclaimer: he was pretty sick so I'm sure this is not the norm.) We still have our bunny because of Andrea! This isn't just a business to her - she truly loves animals. When I spoke to the vet on the phone concerning our bunny's treatment, she mentioned how knowledgeable she found Andrea to be & how she thought he would be in good hands until we got back. She was absolutely right! There's not enough praise, gratitude, & admiration I can heap on Andrea & "Take the Lead". Hands down, the best folks to call if you can't take a pet with you on a trip.
