My sweet chihuahua, Bella.
Kellie N.

The most difficult time is when a person loses their beloved pets. I'm so thankful that my sweet Bella was sent to this crematorium. They were so sweet when they called me to ask about my preferences for the process and how I wanted Bella memorialized. I've had several pets cremated over the years, and I have to say that this was one of the better experiences. I also love the wooden box, engraving & paw print I received. They're beautiful and handled with care. I love that they also offer a support group to help you get through the tough times. I don't want to think about the day I lose another pet, but I know where they will go to be cremated.

An acceptable "Paw print"? It's a cat, I know it's tough to tell.

In Jan 2017 I chose to pay full price to use Deceased Petcare over the place the current Veterinary Hospital has been using, based on my prior experience witnessing their excellent work with clients while working as a Vet Tech for an Alpharetta based Veterinary Hospital. However, their services had clearly tanked somewhere in between. Periodically, I pull out the paw print they made of my sweet "once in a lifetime kind of love" girl, who I thought I was going above and beyond to commemorate... and I always think "it can't be as bad as I remember" and.. it's always worse than I remembered. I received something that in my 7 years of Vet Tech work, I would NEVER have sent home with a client, even as a memento for a pet they weren't grieving the loss of. At the time the pain was so fresh and her body had been cremated.. there wasn't a way to do it over, so I let it go. 3 years later, it's still very upsetting to me that I paid $45 for something that breaks my heart more than her memory because of the negligence of their employee.

I was referred to them by my veterinarian. When I picked her up, the care they took with delivering her back to me was beautiful. Her presentation urn, enclosed sentiments, cremation certificate were very professional nicely done. You got the feeling they truly cared and understood the depth of such a loss. I know you'll understand, and I hope I never have to use them again but we do so if ever I lose a possible future pet.

None beats Heavenly Paws. The only "agua cremation" around here. Cheaper than FIRE and not as hard on your emotions. Very nice people.

I took the kitty in and was treated with compassion and caring, so much so it almost felt like a funeral home making arrangements. When our 15 year old inside tabby passed we did not hesitate to use their services again. We had Dr M.G. McReynolds (who I had used back in the 00s) come for an in-home visit and she handled the transport of our baby to Heavenly Paws. We got a call from them upon her arrival that he had arrived and was being taken care of. Can't recommend them, as well as Dr McReynolds, enough.

The pricing is reasonable and very clear on the website, and they explain everything that you get with the selected package. There were also options on the form to order extra memorabilia (additional cost) on top of what you already get. She told us it would take 1-2 weeks, and we got a call back asking us to pick up about a week and a half after we dropped her off. The place was extremely clean, the staff is amazing, and the service they provide is astounding. The location is a bit strange, as it's in an office park, but the environment inside is immediately warm and welcoming as soon as you walk in. Don't let the initial outside looks fool you. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who has lost their beloved pet and is going through many difficult emotions. The staff will handle it gracefully and treat you with the utmost respect.

TL;DR: a dental cleaning cost $1,238.58 (plus another $500 if CPR is necessary)…read more I didn't have a traumatic experience, but every visit has been a little bad unnecessarily. This last visit reminded me that I don't *have to* go here and can find another option. I called to schedule an appointment because I was worried about my dog's teeth. They booked her for a dental cleaning procedure and sent me an estimate of $738.59 for a Grade 1 cleaning, which includes the cleaning as well as simple extractions if necessary (of the easy teeth, I guess). We went in for bloodwork and the first tech said there was "no reason to expect additional extractions" but I asked for the Grade 2 estimate just in case, which was $1,118.68-$1,124.34. The tech that called for pre-op the night before the surgery also said there was no reason to expect extractions. When we checked in the morning of the surgery, that tech *also* said there was no reason to expect additional extractions. Dr. Carr called in the middle of the procedure to tell me that my dog, Evie, would need *12* of her 40 teeth extracted, which moved us to a Grade 2 estimate of $1,118.68-$1,124.34. So we went from "extractions unlikely" to my dog losing 30% of her teeth when it was too late to do anything but accept it. Side note, it seems they monitor pets well during anesthesia, but if anything does go wrong, they will charge you an additional $500.00 for CPR, which they said only 5% of pets survive. For this dental visit, I paid $150.69 for bloodwork and $1,087.89 for the procedure for a total of $1,238.58 The estimates are attached. I'm sharing for pricing transparency so others can make more informed decisions about pet care. FWIW, I get my dog's teeth brushed every time I get her groomed, I regularly feed her Dentastix/Greenies, and we use tooth-cleaning toys during playtime. EDIT: I had a lovely conversation with hospital manager Ellie about this review. It was very clear they value feedback and take action to remedy concerns. That's deeply appreciated. EDIT 2: Despite my post-op care instructions saying, "There are no sutures that need to be removed," here I am in the lobby waiting on them to remove sutures. There's about a 1-inch piece of fishing line-type string hanging out of my dog's mouth. There are knots and loops in it so it's getting caught on things, which as you can imagine is unpleasant for her given that the rest of it is still attached to her gums.
