our young kitten suddenly passed at early on a sunday morning. we weren't prepared and were completely distraught. after a poor experience calling a different funeral home, we called paws, whiskers, & wags. immediately, we were helped by a compassionate team member who arranged to meet us within an hour of calling. during the worst day of our lives, emily handled us and our baby with such care and kindness. we never felt pressured to make a single choice, and i feel like she truly honored our cat with her care. as a business, the funeral home utilizes a tagging system so that you can guarantee that it's your baby that is coming home with you. while i didn't think having a private cremation was something i wanted prior, it was incredibly healing to be able to bring our baby's remains home. the work was done within a day of us dropping him off. there was some miscommunication and we didn't actually know he was ready until a few days later when we called, however, we were graciously received when we did come to get him. both visits, we were given plenty of time and space to process, and I was so grateful. i was in no way ready to have to let go of our baby, but I am so grateful that we chose paws, wags, and whiskers to take care of his body. read more

My dog was cremated on April 3rd,2026. I ordered a nose print pendant the very same day, which should've arrived between 6 to 8 weeks later. It is now July 2 and every time I have called they have not been helpful, always telling me someone will give me a call back and I have yet to receive a call back with a status on my keepsake. I am beyond frustrated, annoyed, and on the verge of tears every time as this is the only part of my dog that I have left if someone is reading this, PLEASE HELP ME!!!! read more

I have gone to P W and W for years, most recently in late October 2025. They have always been compassionate and transparent with the pet tracker 360. But something has happened. There has been a name change, to Pet Meadow. My soul cat died Monday night. Tuesday morning I took her in for services. I was a wreck. As I have for the previous pets I have taken there I asked for individual cremation, and a lock of her fur. Today, Friday morning, I called because it has never taken more than 2 days. I was told she was in "packaging". PACKAGING. I have now picked up cremains. I don't say " her cremains" because when we got home and I opened her package there was no pet tracker 360 token attached to the bag as there has been for every other pet. I do not for a minute believe these are my pet's ashes. There was also no hair clipping. This entire experience was awful, and instead of peaceful, loving closure I am traumatized. My experience was absolutely horrendous. When my dog died, they came to my house to retrieve his body. This first encounter went fairly well. However, it became very evident they were very concerned about how I was going to pay for it and after I placed the bill on my credit card they then became very compassionate and caring. However, when I went to retrieve my dog's body at the crematorium, they had a sign out in the lawn by the parking lot advising to call the front office and they would bring out his remains. I was told I could not come into the office but to sit in the car and wait. They did come to the car and handed me his remains while I was seated in my car!!! Their excuse was they were afraid of covid. However, they sure didn't seem like they were afraid of covid when they were 6 inches from my face as I was giving them my credit card number!!! I had several experiences under the previous company owner and it was always great. This one was beyond pathetic!!! read more

Also- I keep getting calls about making arrangements for my pet when they were made on Thursday and it is now Monday. It leads me to think that no one has any idea of what is going on with my pet. It is a huge business and there's a lot of money in it, people's feelings for their loved ones in their worst day of their lives: when they die. I just went through it on Saturday with Paws Whiskers and Wags in Decatur, Georgia. They claim a lot of things, pet tracker, window to view the private cremation. Lies, all lies! My beautiful baby Oreo died on Friday, 12/02/2025. I took him to this place myself because 18 years ago the founder of the place, Christine, used to care and she helped me herself with my baby Pug Jordana. They used to have one big oven facing the window and you could see the whole process in private. The tracker used to be placed on one of the paws. Today, it is a much bigger business with 4 locations. Christine is only listed as a cofounder. She is nowhere to be found, lots of employees that seem to be nice and compassionate, but in reality all they do is lie and act from the minute you call and get a "Client Relations" person who just tells you what you want to hear, not the truth. Mine was Adonus Fitzpatrick. I spoke with him several times on the phone last week and he assured me I could view the cremation in full from the window. There sure is a window, but it is covered with a cloth on the other side of the door, and they have multiple ovens facing the side. They showed me that Oreo (placed in a cardboard box) was put in one of the openings of the oven, they threw the tracker inside the same opening, but not in the box, not attached to him. Then, they told me I couldn't see anything else because of the privacy of other "pets" they were processing at the same time. There was nobody else there. I paid for the private cremation with viewing. I asked to speak with the Supervisor or Manager, nothing was done, even though Shannon Smith, the Team Lead was there and heard me speaking with Allison several times. I showed Allison their website, in 2 places they claim that they are the only pet crematory in the area, where you can see the process in private from the window in person. All she said was sorry for the misunderstanding! Really? In less than 1 hour and half I was given some cool ashes. My heart knows that's NOT my Oreo. Christine's business got too big. She owns a huge funeral, burial, cremation company in Cobb county with 3 locations. Too big to care for one kitty mother who is going through hell. My baby deserved better! He had lymphoma and I had to euthanize him on Friday. There is no 100% transparency in Paws Whiskers and Wags as they claim on their website and as you can hear Christine say in a You Tube video from 4 years ago. All lies. They probably didn't even cremated him on Saturday and I got God knows whose ashes. Horrible, despicable manner to run a business. Unless you are able to see everything, do NOT TRUST them! read more

I was referred to Paws,Whiskers and Wags by a friend who suddenly lost her dog. I knew my Max was sick and the end was near ( didn't make it hurt any less). I had set an appointment for his end of life service, however he didn't make it to his appointment and passed away in my arms a few days before. I called Paws and from the intake call to the time I got there everything was seamless. The worst part of the process was having to actually hand him over. My person was Quinton and he went above and beyond for me! He never rushed me, took the time to explain to everything and when it was time to hand over my baby he let me spend as much time with him as I needed. This has been a rough experience watching my baby fade away. Paws and especially Mr. Quinton, they made the transition a lot easier!! Our dog recently died and she was too big for me to really bury her in the yard. I would've had to dig a hole that was way too deep. So, I decided that it would be best to have her cremated. I called around to see what the prices were, but most places were going to charge $300-$400. PWW had a range based on the animals' weight. Our dog had become severely underweight recently due to her illness. Because she was under the heavier weight class pricing, it only cost about $80 total after tax. Obviously, I did not purchase an earn or anything else and I did not want her ashes back. There is not much parking, but inside there's a waiting room that's absolutely designed to have you peruse their merchandise while they get your paperwork together. After you sign the paperwork things move pretty quickly and they can retrieve the animal at your car and that's pretty much it. Everyone was very nice and respectful the entire time and they didn't push any products they only asked if I wanted to purchase an urn or anything else (mementos, they call them). I said no and they respected my decision and didn't push any further. I feel like they did make me wait a bit longer, even knowing that I was coming, so that I would have a chance to look at the merchandise and hopefully purchase something else. That's why I didn't give them a full five stars. In all honesty, the paperwork looked like it was premade and all I really needed to do was sign some forms that they just need to print off. There was one person in front of me but she was basically walking out when I was coming in, so I could've stood in the lobby just fine. Do I recommend this place? Yes. I like that they offer two different prices and I like that they don't push you too hard (or really, at all) on their other merchandise. read more

It never gets any easier and I don't think it should when you lose someone you love with all your heart. Lottie our precious little girl lost her fight with a respiratory illness Tuesday. The illness came on suddenly and Dr. Carder and the wonderful folks at The Veterinary Clinic did everything they could do to help Lottie. Lottie on her part fought as hard as she could but it was just too much. She passed and with her last breathe did what she could to comfort us. The folks at Paws Whiskers & Wags as they've done for us in the past were so very kind. They picked up our little girl to whom they lovingly referred as "our baby" let us know that she had arrived went over the services and again, didn't try to sell us anything or do anything other to offer support in a time when we were the most vulnerable. As always they returned out Lottie to the Doctor's office in a very efficient manner and did everything they said even to the point to let us know the moment Lottie had arrived back so we could bring her home. When you need someone and I pray that day is many, many days if the distant future I cannot recommend anyone else to help. There are other services and I imagine they're fine folks. These are the people who've always helped us in out time of need and we appreciate everything they do and the type of character the exemplify every single time we talk to them. read more

I lost my furbaby about a month ago and Paws, Whiskers, & Wags picked up her body from the vet and performed the cremation. They called when they had gotten her body and explained what would happen next. I was pleasantly surprised, but really appreciated how kind, patient, understanding, and considerate they were of my feelings. They were also professional, efficient, and timely. They could have absolutely done better. I am a nurse and I realize times are very different in this Covid world, however the experience I had here this past week was pretty awful. I called and said I was on my way and they said they would get my girl ready. I pulled up and waited in the parking lot. A girl opened the door and yelled at me from to door....while I was in my car....."have I been helped". I told her I called ahead and was waiting. She seemed confused like she has no idea a client had called for their baby, again could have been honest confusion, which of course does happen. Another girl comes out a few moments later, cracks the front door and again yells at me from my car in the parking lot at least 20 feet from the door "sign and print your name on this sheet of paper" she yells. Then she places my sweet girl in a bag on a table outside of the door and closes the door. That was it. I was not prepped on the phone this is how this would happen. There was absolutely no reason to shout at me through a cracked door "to sign a paper", place my girl on a table and then close the front door before I could even catch my breath. She didn't even come close to my car window to have a conversation like a decent human being, but just yelled from the cracked door of the building. I walked over and looked at this small table that held my baby. Signed her sheet of paper and immediately broke down. As I was walking back to my car she again still does not even come out of the building, but cracks the door and asks "do you need a tissue". I told her that whole process could have been done better. She says shrugs and closes the door again. Folks can go to Starbucks and stand six feet apart, shop at TJ maxx, go to the grocery etc. As a registered nurse of 10 years this place could and SHOULD do better. Yelling instructions through a cracked door is not how I wanted to receive my sweet baby. There are Covid precautions you can take without going this route. And please for the love of god get your staff some sensitivity training. I have used Paws Whiskers and Wags two years ago when my other baby died and it was a totally different experience. This was awful and sadly, you cannot make this up. You have one chance to do this right and they failed my girl this week. I did end up talking to the manager Michael who was very kind and apologetic. There were other clerical errors that happened the morning of them receiving her as well, but picking her up in this manner just tipped it over the edge. I liked them in the past, but if I'm honest, with how they are practicing during Covid, I would avoid. I've heard of another crematory in Brookhaven that is highly recommend by a hospice vet I spoke with before my girls passing, I would encourage others to research that business. I wish I had. They even offer to come to you, my license was suspended a while ago and I was worried about what to do for my baby bleu. They kept in GREAT contact with me, letting me know every step of the way. After being mislead, over-charged, and ignored for a week by PW&W all I can say is, take your pet somewhere else. After having my pet taken here by the hospital where she was put to sleep, I was called by Kandace the next day to discuss payment for services. Feeling uncomfortable with giving out my debit card information over the phone, I asked if I could pay online. She told me she would send me a link. She didn't. The next day, she called again to ask about the payment, and when I told her I never got the link, she sent one right away. I was told my cat would be ready for me to pick up within the next 24-72 hours. Then I hear nothing for A WEEK until Kandace calls me this morning to discuss payment for services. I was told I never paid. Then (after some denial on her part) I find out that I was sent the wrong link, so the payment I made (which was almost $100 over what I should have paid) "never registered" and that they "couldn't find it". Repeatedly during this ordeal, I was told I would be called back. Repeatedly, I wasn't, and had to call them to find out what was going on. After finally getting a refund (which was only the difference between the payments, when I was told the whole thing would be refunded so we could discuss payment options AGAIN) the only thing they tried to do to make up for all of this was offer a "complimentary" paw print. From my cat that's been sitting in a freezer for a week. And that I already have from the original vets office. So, for your own sake and peace of mind during an already incredibly delicate time in your life, if you can save yourself the headache and have the option, go somewhere else. read more

My 17 year old miniature poodle, Snuggles, passed away and I decided on cremation with Paws, Whiskers and Wags based on the recommendation of my Veterinarian. Obviously this is not a place anyone who is a "pet parent" wants to end up. However, when the time comes, it's comforting to know that your Fur Baby or pet will be handled with care, respect and professionalism. Also, every person I encountered was empathetic and gracious. There are multiple options to choose from in terms of services, urns and remembrance pieces. I chose a Paw Print and simple Tin for the ashes. The prices are a bit steep, but worth it in my opinion. I have tears streaming down my face as I write this review. My sweet senior citizen cat Ernie recently passed away unexpectedly while I was traveling for work. He had multiple health issues but was stable and appeared fine in the morning. My partner arrived home and discovered his little body tucked near our laundry with no pulse or breathing. It was an awful moment in our lives. Ernie was a joy and an affectionate old man. I already knew about Paws, Whiskers and Wags from referrals from friends. My partner and I treasure all 12 of our dogs and cats and they are our children. Mark slept with Ernies body wrapped in his snuggle blanket and then took him to Paws in the morning. I had a full week of travel before returning to Atlanta and I needed to see Ernie before a cremation. Paws held his body and then did a viewing for me and our family the weekend when I returned. They posed Ernie in a blanket placed in a beautiful woven basket. The staff was just wonderful. I was an emotional mess and they hugged and comforted us. They gave us time to love on Ernie and say goodbye. We received his ashes in a beautiful urn plus we ordered the memorial book with his paw print and a slot for a photo. Many people may not realize it but many vets do not cremate and bodies left for the vet to dispose are often bagged and sent to landfill. A terrible and disrespectful way to treat a living being that is unconditional love to their human parents. I encourage everyone to please treat your deceased pets with the same respect we treat humans. Paws was just great and made a terrible event in my life as best as possible. After the viewing they sent us a very nice condolence card. read more

My dog died last Sunday 1/12/20. I contacted PW&W for the first time early in the morning. Micheal answered the phone since he was on call for the weekend. He was SO sweet and caring and put my concerns to rest. He arranged a time for us since it was Sunday and off-hours. He made the process seamless. Once I arrived at PW&W he greeted us with open arms and was so loving and understanding. Considering how distraught we were Micheal made us feel comfortable and we knew he would take care of our beloved Caesar during the process. The people at PW&W are amazing! Atlanta is so very fortunate to have a facility that is both this efficient and also this compassionate to help us when our beloved pets reach the end of their time here with us. I was too upset to bring my baby in, but my friend went in for me and they were very helpful and accommodating to my friend and I texting about the arrangements. Even when they had to call me and ask me a question about something, they were so kind and gentle. My only complaint is that the prices of urns, boxes, etc are so high and I feel guilty that I wasn't able to afford something nicer for my beloved babygirl. I saw nothing of the beauty that is posted in the photos for PW&W. My girl Molly passed on 5/25/20 and so, due to Covid 19, we were understandably dealing with special issues. We spoke only by phone, and I drove Molly to the facility myself. However, two things bothered me: 1. It was suggested I keep her at home for an extra day since she passed on a holiday. This truly felt inappropriate and disrespectful...was I just to step over her and around her? What a heartless thing to ask of me. 2. After taking my information and payment by phone, I was asked to drive around back. I was not prepared for what I saw....the whole back of the building was open to reveal the ovens. I started sobbing. They made me stay in my car while they removed Molly. No last hug. No final goodbye. That was it. read more

I would prefer if I could have made arrangements the first time I called BEFORE I had to put my pet to sleep. I understand calling to confirm arrangements once my pet is at their facility but receiving a phone call to make after life arrangements for my dearly beloved pet while at work feels cold and nobody likes to be emotional at work or in public. Also putting my pets name in parenthesis makes me feel like you don't appreciate that they were an actual member of my family. The last thing that was a bit unsettling is seeing my beloved pets cremains smashed into the corner of what was once an obviously large clear plastic bag. I can't express how upsetting this was especially after I spent so much money on the cremation only to wonder now is this all my pet and only my pet since he obviously had to share a plastic bag with another fur baby. This review was long overdue. Last month, my 10 year old dog Mac died mostly due to terrible vet care at the Village Vets Decatur. They botched his euthanasia, allowing the dog to suffer. Please avoid Dr. Amanda Slider at all costs. I'm sorry to rehash another review, I'm simply being honest. I've had many dogs, but Mac was very special to me. He was the first dog I adopted when I graduated from college. I'm a very introverted person and don't open up easily to people, but Mac never cared. He was a true friend and loving companion. I met with Sharon who helped me through the entire process. Sometimes it's easy to feel guilty for feeling sad about your deceased pet, because people who aren't pet owners don't take it very seriously. However, not once did Sharon make me feel like wanting to cremate my pets remains was stupid or a waste of money. Usually, I feel very suspicious and skeptical of people in the funeral business in general, because I figure they must have seen the same scenario a thousand times and aren't being true when offering their condolences. Well, in either case, Sharon realized I just wanted closure and not a lot of fuss or pomp and circumstance. I just needed to know that they had my dog and were placing my dog in the furnace. I needed to be sure the ashes I would get would be his. They gave me a viewing so I had a final time to say good bye. Then they took his body, placed him in a box with some flowers I brought, and allowed me to watch them put him in the furnace. After receiving his ashes, I purchased an order for a memorial stone. This is when I knew Sharon was truly compassionate. I asked for several revisions to the stone about 5 before I was satisfied and not once did she make me feel like I was thinking way to hard about how I wanted the stone to be laid out. She called me every time there was a new revision. And when I finally settled on one, she told me she thought it was smart to get the revisions because the final proof was easily the best of all the prior versions. Once the memorial stone arrived, about two or three weeks later, Sharon called me and told me it was ready for pick-up. The stone was nice and now I have it laying against some plants on the railing on my balcony. It's hard knowing I'll never have Mac back. It's even harder knowing how unfair his transition to death was. But I'm definitely at peace with the way his body and cremation was handled. Extremely professional business. I am not one to write reviews but I thought It very important to write this one. Losing my pet has by far been the hardest thing to go through. However, the staff here have just gone above and beyond!!! They have made this experience loving and caring. Their patience and thoughtfulness through this process has made such a difference. The staff are truly heartfelt and you feel how caring they are. I never felt like anyone was trying to sell me on things in fact I felt that the staff really made the experience personal and so loving like they knew my pet and how much my pet meant to me and the world and it mattered! One of the saddest moments of my life was handled so gentle by the workers of Paws, Whiskers, & Wag. My beloved dog Spike passed away after 13 wonderful years. Me and my mother decided to get him cremated and I found this location online. Michelle was sooooo kind. She explained the process to us beautifully and even shed a tear with us. I know she handles death all day long but I really felt like I was the only one in the world dealing with this because she was so caring and sympathetic. She placed Spike in a beautiful basket and allowed us to have our last moments with him which was really appreciated. I would generally say if anyone loses a pet, please come to this place. It was beautiful inside, air-conditioned, and the staff is really the best. They say that getting the loved one cremated should take between 24 to 48 hours but I actually had my baby back within three hours. I never lost anyone close to me before. I have had family members passed away that are blood but I didn't grow up with them or knew them like that, just that we're family by blood. The closet soul to me that passed away recently was my pet dog, Puchy. We've had her since she was a year old. She lived 14, almost 15 great years with us. She would've been 16 in a few weeks. I was devastated and searched for her everywhere because she was missing. For four days we looked and looked but she was close to us. I heard from others and have not seen Marley and Me but many people have said that animals know when it is their time to go and they prefer to hide and just go. That is what happened to Puchy. Because she was missing and we were unable to find her body until for four days later, I did not think we could cremate her. Coworkers told me that her body or what is left of her remains could still be cremated. I called my vet to get recommendations and confirmation that it is possible, and it is. I called the two pet cremation services places. Both were great but we decided on Paws Whiskers & Wags because a friend's dog got cremated there late last year and were treated with the best care. I called Paws Whiskers & Wags and they were sooooo sweet and understanding. They assured me that I am able to get her cremated that day but I opted for Saturday morning since the family could be there and my daughter's bff could come. It was her dog who was cremated there late last year. When we walked in, I told them we had a 9 am appointment and they already knew who we were. We were there for Puchy. He explained the process and procedures. Ours was a little different since we had the body with us, so we presented Puchy to them. I had to fill out information. The waiting area is nice and comfy. There are complimentary water, coffee, and mints. A bathroom is close by. Urns and other keepsakes are there for show. There are two other urn showrooms. Many books about animals were in the room. The cremation process takes about 45 minutes. A complimentary urn is also given to us but we wanted a special one to have her picture displayed also. It was extra but I was okay with that. Never once did I feel pressure to purchase anything more. Everyone there was knowledgeable, understanding, and caring. All pricing was reasonable because I have called other locations too. Today, our whole family has closure and completeness after grieving for almost a week. read more

Wonderful experience during a hard time. I lost my 15 yr old Dobermans and PWW was great. I got his paw print and a nice rosewood box to memorialize his legacy. Team was very kind and empathetic is getting him out car and quickly performing cremation. Highly recommend. read more

Our 12 year old dog passed away as suddenly as a 12 year old big doggo can this morning. I freaked out. I didn't know what to do. I called and Kira picked up and was just the exact person I needed to talk to in the moment. She talked me through what I needed to do, and I will furever be grateful for the service they provided this morning. They were respectful and just so so sweet.
