I just used their chat to get information on scheduling an in home euthanasia for my pet. The woman messaging was slow to respond and was so rude she said that "as she stated the earliest appointment she had was in the 10th" because dr saulsbury was out of town until then. I responded saying the appointment I was inquiring f about was the 13th and that I really couldn't understand how they could have someone so rude answering questions about scheduling the death of their pet. I am disgusted and am going to look at sunset vet or lap of love. This was absolutely not what I expected from a service like this. read more

I scheduled an in-home euthanasia appointment for my senior dog 2 days in advance. I thought I was in good hands because the staff who were texting me were kind and even helped reschedule the appointment for the next day when my pooch took a turn for the worst. They immediately charged me $474 for the service and keepsakes they were going to provide. The following day - the morning of the appointment - they texted me saying they had to cancel the appointment "for licensing issues." Are you kidding me??? They offered an apology and started to provide names of other services I could book with - all while my pooch was suffering. I declined since I can also Google companies - that's how I found them. So far, 6 days later, and I have yet to receive a refund for a service they couldn't provide. At least the other company we used had some empathy and waited until after the appointment to charge me. Do NOT use this company unless you call and verify thy have a licensed vet in your area capable of following through. read more

Insensitive and non-responsive. I scheduled a euthanasia with Heartstrings several days ahead of the appointment, and they charged my credit card as though my dog had already been euthanized. Not a pending charge, but as though the service had been completed. I canceled the appointment, and they never credited my account. Two weeks later, and they have not returned a single phone call (I've left several messages) nor address the issue. Why they would be so insensitive as to charge a client for euthanasia a week beforehand, when my dog is sitting in front of me alive, and then try to take my money after the appointment has been canceled, is beyond comprehension. I called them to find out why, and was told someone would get back to me. They never did. I called back, and Devin said the owner would call me. He never called. I called back again. Devin then said the reason was because I had scheduled and then rescheduled. That made no sense. Then she said I had scheduled it with the owner, and that was why the charge was made ahead of the appt. That made no sense either. Then she said it was their "business model". I asked her to send me proof it had been credited, and it was a hassle for her to find it in their system. Devin said it would be credited within 3-5 days. Now 14 days later it still hasn't appeared. I emailed Devin once again, she said she would get back to me, and never did. I called again days later and spoke with Billy. He said someone would get back to me today. Once again, no one did. Extremely poor and callous business practice for a company that specializes in caring for your loved one at the end of life. read more

Do not use there services.....Made an appointment and had to cancel 5 days out from scheduled appointment. I was immediately charged $514 for in home euthanasia. I call Billy the next day he assured me I would be refunded. Called again 2 day later Billy again, forwarded message to Zach the owner. assuring again I would get me refund. Next day spoke with Zach the owner very apologetic assuring the refund. That started June 4th, June the June 23 my credit card company is now disputing the charges. read more

Sadly we had to use this service, but were fortunate to find Shawn & Dr. Erin. Their kindness helped us during a very sad time.

They are an amazing and caring group. We scheduled short notice on a Sunday afternoon and they quickly came to our house.  Shawn and Dr Williams were very compassionate during this time - they gave us all the time we needed. The process was very peaceful. They took Blitz from our home on their bed, blanket and pillow. They even texted us a rainbow that appeared while they were leaving! Days later Shawn personally delivered Blitz back to us in a very nice box with a paw print cast and a nice document. It made this difficult time much more peaceful for us. My family and I recently miraculously found Shawn and Dr. Erin at Heartstrings during the difficult time of saying goodbye to our beloved furbaby Buddy.  Shawn and Dr. Erin could not have been more compassionate and I highly recommend these angels on earth.  I reached out to Shawn since I was apprehensive that Buddy's regular vet would be available when Buddy's time came, and we kept in touch in the weeks that followed.  He was super responsive and was so accommodating with us and our shifting situation.  Shawn and Dr. Erin were just what we needed during the difficult time of saying goodbye to our boy. we had to make the difficult decision to let my girl Finley go recently. Sean and Dr. William were amazing from the first phone call through the whole process. Sean was very informative and there every step of the way. Dr. William was so calm and compassionate when he came out. He was so loving toward Finley (my Great Dane) and gave us plenty of time with her to say goodbye. Making the choice to euthanize our is arguably one of the hardest decision I have had to make, but it was apparent that our dog was not going to recover and was suffering.
