I used Google Translate to explain to the medical staff his issues (heart murmur/failure, horrible teeth). Then the veterinarian that spoke English arrived and saw him. He explained what they would do and I left him there for a couple hours. They extracted 3 teeth and cleaned his remaining teeth and gave aftercare medicine and instructions! Wabi is doing great and his remaining teeth look amazing! This was at a fraction of the cost of the quotes I got from his vet in OC. They only take cash! Highly recommend! Pro tip - if you have global entry, register your car so you can take the fast sentri lanes. I went back to SD to eat breakfast with family while I waited for Wabi to be ready. Also, try to go on a weekday since they don't take appointments and it's first come, first served. If they are busy they may make you come back another day for the procedure. If you think your dog may need to undergo anesthesia - refrain from giving them food/water before you visit.

He is knowledgeable, explains everything in detail and even uses a white board and draws pictures to make it easy to understand. He is honest and his prices are amazing. If you're searching for a vet in Mexico that is easy to find and super close to the border, do not hesitate to go. It is on a first come first serve basis, but if you arrive 15 minutes before they open, it's typically a 30 minute wait. There is limited parking but I'm always able to find street parking and have never had any issues with either my vehicle or ever felt unsafe. Very kind staff and even the people who live there and the other clients who go to his office are very friendly.

Medical Pet was the only one that answered and even though they were fully booked and closing in less than an hour, they still squeezed my doggy in and saw her. I was so happy when I arrived, the staff was extremely accommodating and wonderful. The clinic is very clean and has parking out front. Only about 10 mins from the border. I paid $160USD for the initial visit which covered the check-up, x-rays, and medications. Extremely affordable and fair pricing. My dog already had stitches on her cheek from another incident and the doctor offered to take them out at a later date. I went back a week after and they didn't charge me anything. She got her stitches at another vet in Poway (we paid $1100 for that visit, NEVER AGAIN). I can't recommend this place enough. Will definitely be bringing my puppies here for any veterinarian needs.

After reading all the great reviews (and yes, they're REAL), I decided to give them a chance, and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was different. The entire staff truly cares about every pet that comes in. They don't see animals as $$$ signs, they listen, they explain, and they care about your fur babies. My first green flag was seeing multiple pets being cared for behind the front desk, literally hanging out freely instead of being locked in cages, I absolutely LOVED THAT!! There are no appointments, you just wait your turn. I've been there four times, and only once did I wait for my turn about 15-20 minutes. Every other visit was less than 5 minutes. The clinic looks like a house from the outside, so parking is limited, but even then I only had to wait about 10 minutes once. I took my 7-year-old pittie because he was bleeding while peeing. They ran different tests, diagnosed him with an enlarged prostate, and recommended surgery (neutering). It's now been 11 days since he got surgery at El Club de Nana, his stitches are out, the bleeding is completely gone, and he's happier and has so much more energy.
