HIGHLY RECOMMEND Club de Nana! I live in San Diego, and over the years I tried a couple of vets in Tijuana, but honestly, I never felt comfortable with them. It often felt like the nicer the place looked, the less they actually cared about the pets. Because of that, I gave up and kept paying the ridiculous vet prices in San Diego... until I simply couldn't take it anymore. Thank God I found Club de Nana on Yelp. After reading all the great reviews (and yes, they're REAL), I decided to give them a chance, and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was different. The entire staff truly cares about every pet that comes in. They don't see animals as $$$ signs, they listen, they explain, and they care about your fur babies. My first green flag was seeing multiple pets being cared for behind the front desk, literally hanging out freely instead of being locked in cages, I absolutely LOVED THAT!! There are no appointments, you just wait your turn. I've been there four times, and only once did I wait for my turn about 15-20 minutes. Every other visit was less than 5 minutes. The clinic looks like a house from the outside, so parking is limited, but even then I only had to wait about 10 minutes once. I took my 7-year-old pittie because he was bleeding while peeing. They ran different tests, diagnosed him with an enlarged prostate, and recommended surgery (neutering). It's now been 11 days since he got surgery at El Club de Nana, his stitches are out, the bleeding is completely gone, and he's happier and has so much more energy. We have been taking our dogs down to different Veterinarians in Tijuana for over 20 years. When it was time for Sr. Chapis (Our 17 year-old Chihuahua) to go to heaven we went to Club de Nana based on Yelp reviews. Dra. Lourdes (Lulu) examined Sr. Chapis and was at peace with our decision. Dra. Lulu and her team showed true compassion in ensuring he would go to heaven peacefully and surrounded by the family who truly loved him (Dra. and Staff included). We were allowed to hold and be with him throughout the entire procedure. Dra. Lulu allowed us to be with him before and after for as long as we needed. Sending a family member to heaven is such a sad and somber occasion but Dra. Lulu and her team treated Sr. Chapis and us like family members. We able to arrange Cremation Services, Urn and Paw Print and in a few weeks will return to Club de Nana to bring him home. We left Club de Nana emotionally drained. It has been a few days since Sr. Chapis went to heaven and the one thing we will always remember is how dignified the entire service performed by Dra. Lulu was. Thank you Dra. Lulu and your team for making this sad and emotional time so peaceful for Sr. Chapis and our family. We are truly amazed at the compassion and love you have towards all of the family members (pets who come through your door). You now have 2 new family members (Josie & Maui) who will be visiting you for all their medical needs. You are truly a Godsend and we are so special to have found you. I highly recommend this veterinarian location. It is close to the border and intake was not long.They do except walk-ins. They are bilingual there and very kind to the animals Our dog was dehydrated by vomiting all night., they took him in care of him and tended to him very well. dr. Dr. Lulu was amazing. She listened and addressed all of our concerns. My dog had been having what I thought was hip pain. As soon as I explained the symptoms she told me it was her knees. She explained in great detail of why and how to fix it. No xrays or blood work needed. I ended up yelping her since I didn't want to spend over $1000 for just xrays and lab work she didn't need. I payed a little less than $200 for consult, 2 vaccines, medicine & yrs worth of flee & tick. I got peace of mind. I will recommend her and her clinic. I came on a Saturday and arrived around 8:15am since its 1st come 1st serve. They accept Mexican & American currency and credit cards. Its a brown house. I called ahead just to make sure. Loved, loved, loved this vet/doctor. She absolutely loves her pets and those that are brought in. She took her time to take notes about our dog. She ordered some very necessary geriatric blood tests (we only paid $63 for consult and blood work) and an ultrasound at a veterinary ultrasound specialists (only $86) to figure out what is going on with our 13 yr old mini dachshund and determine if she can go under to have her teeth cleaned. Wow, what care! It was sweet to watch her tap her head to her cat spaghetti's head while taking notes on our dog who had quickly made friends with her cat. We will be back, definitely! read more

Vet Lourdes and Francisco truly compassionate and you can tell the passion they have for our pets. They both were incredibly kind, professional, and knowledgeable. Please make the call for an approximate cost if you know what your pet might need.Obviously it will be a lot less expensive than the ridiculous prices in the US . My dog had diarrhea and throwing up, he was dehydrated, they did labs ultrasound, Iv drip monitored for 3 hours, and meds to go home and a bath it was 140 dollars you can't get this type of care for the price here in the US so I drive an hour to see them. They have also seen my other dog for an ear draining and meds same thing paid about 60 dollars. read more

I have never visited a vet in Mexico but the high vet costs in California have just become too much. My female pitbull needed a broken molar extracted and some bumps and a skin tag removed and I went to Dr. Diaz at El Club de Nana. Sure, I was nervous visiting a new vet in a foreign country but Dr Diaz and Dr. Francisco could not have been more welcoming! Dr Diaz does not speak much English so we used Google Translate on WhatsApp but Dr Francisco speaks English fluently and helped bridge the communication gap. We started our first visit with an initial visit with an exam to assess my dog and get blood work. They are open on Saturdays but do not take appointments so it is a first come, first served scenario. Then after the blood work results came back positive, I brought her back for surgery. Everything was fully explained, costs sent via WhatsApp, and the beauty of vets in Mexico is one price includes everything! So they give you a price and it includes the surgery, medication, anesthesia, and lab work afterwards, if needed. The cost to do all of this work was 25% of what I was quoted in CA and they accept credit cards. I cannot suggest this team at El Club de Nana enough, they were wonderful and I sensed that they sincerely cared for me and my dog! This is not a fancy place, but clean and well organized, so if you want a bougie vet office with matching uniforms and snacks in the lobby, this is not the place for you. Street parking is free and available in front and there is a nice restaurant around the corner for coffee, snacks and lunch called Telefonica. read more

Abs. safe to travel there, we spent the day at a small local park and nearby Friendship Arc on Revolution Avenue/Blvd, where there are some really good and high quality restaurants and bars. 2. Peeing/Restroom is not free in public places, parks, etc. unless you are eating in a restaurant. Sucks, so keep 5-7 pesos handy or Dollar bills. They are yucky too. Btw, the restroom was free and clean at that coffee place near Dr. Lulu's place and at Dr. Lulu's. 3. At restaurants and coffee shops and at the clinic, we paid via Credit card. It works out cheaper as the local exchange rate is dicey. (1 usd = 16.xx pesos locally vs actual 18.xx) 4. Most importantly, do not dread too much about Documents and Mexico Car Insurance, etc. It is NOT mandatory to stop and get Mexican car insurance. We did not. We carried Gucci's vaccination card & rabies shot info, but there was no check of any kind, even when re-entering back into the US., which was strange but makes sense due to long lines. Were asked just 1 simple question - where from and where to and asked to see our US Passport card and let us through in a minute or less. 5. US Passport or Passport card holders (and possibly others) can use the Ready lane (less wait) but the entry to that damn thing was so difficult to find. Google Maps navigates you to Global Entry and Sentry (Fast-track) lanes. After a few attempts (and paying 20 pesos to a local lurking in the global entry lane who wanted 400 pesos to help us), we did find signs for Ready lane, only to lose the signs again. Many posted signs are covered by banners or graffiti by the same people as means to confuse tourists and make money. Read on other forums as well. But a nice local woman and her daughter driving parallely to us went out of their way and drove a good distance to lead us straight to the correct Ready entry lanes. The wait after that was well over 70-80 mins, around 6:30pm in the evening. Offered suggestion to the immigration officer to improve signage for Ready lanes, he asked me to take it with the Mexico president next time Sharing directions and Map Pin to get you on the right "Ready" lanes from El Club De Nana. Highly Recommend This Caring Veterinarian in TJ (One Note About Hours) I recently took my kitty in for her annual checkup at El Club de Nana in Tijuana and had a very positive experience. The staff were friendly and professional, and the veterinarian themself was thorough in examining my cat. They not only administered her vaccines but also checked her ears and teeth, performed a physical examination by feeling her organs, and took her vitals. Hay muchos veterinarios exitosos en el area de Tijuana y escogí este lugar porque dejan a las mascotas andar allí caminando y lidiar con eso solo lo hace gente que realmente quieren a los animales. Los servicios que han ocupado han sido limpieza de dientes, extracción de dientes (con anestesia), castración, y fisicos. You won't be disappointed. Dr. Lourdes is very warm with your pet and you. She resolved my 70lbs puppy's elbow swelling that USA vets wanted to operate and charge $1,500 plus us dollars. She did for pennies, and it worked. I followed her simple instruction a fee pills and he is all fine. It's been about 6 months and no issues. She is now my vet of choice... Note. Park your car $9. The Dr was amazing and i am so happy i decided to bring my dog here. They were able to help my dog Nana and give her medicine at a low cost and even had time to groom and bathe her. The Dr was very knowledgeable and seemed to really care. If you ever need a vet I 100% recommend this place. (note you do have to wait bc there is no appointments so if you get there late expect a 1-3 hour wait however we didn't mind because we made the trip from the US to get our dog seen). I took my dog here a few months back. She had severe bloody diarrhea and was not doing well at all. I had tried getting treatment for her in the US but it didn't help my dog at all. I took her to this vet and they discovered she had an infection and a fever. They gave us medicine the same day and our dog immediately started improving. So grateful for the doctor here! I highly recomenf this Vet in TJ. For over 4 years I have been taking my cihuahua to different vets for a bad rash that always returned even with rounds of antibiotics.One trip to El Club de Nana and Dr. Lourdes gave her the right antibiotic and poof rash gone. Its been over 2 months, middle of summer and it has not returned. She does have a min of 2 hours wait but its worth it. No appointments are taken, its first come first served. Im going back to have my chi sterilized soon. Great knowledgeable, caring staff. I could not thank her enough! Oh and once you cross the border its approx 2 miles in. Very easy to find and has a good cafe, taco - tortilla shop right across the street :) Soon Ill be taking her some goodies in appreciation to her and her staff! read more

Dr. Lourdes is amazing! She treated my pups, Sky, incontinence like it was nothing. I went to FOUR different doctors before her. They treated her with different antibiotics (clavamox & zeniquin) & was even told she might need surgery. Nothing worked. After spending so much money on useless treatments I decided to take her to Tj & found Dr. Lourdes clinic. I was a bit skeptical at first just because it was Tj but it was the BEST decision I ever made. She was very thorough when checking my pup and knew exactly what was wrong with her. She prescribed an antibiotic & after a few weeks I saw the results that I wanted. My pup is happier than ever, the incontinence went away and even cleared up her skin irritations. As of now my pup is healthy! I have found my vet :) thank you so much Dr Lourdes! Oh and it's super affordable you guys ! It doesn't cost an arm and leg to treat your pup! read more

Well they do not have a shortage of clientele and very busy every time I was there so that was a good sign. I was extremely stressed about my dog's age and getting his teeth cleaned and under anesthesia. You might have to wait a little longer because of the constant client coming in . My dog turned out great when I picked him up, he was wide awake after three tooth pulled and a dental cleaning. I came from San Diego because California is ridiculously expensive and for someone who only makes a limited income on disability would have been impossible to pay over $900 plus medication plus the extraction plus the blood draws etc etc etc as typical America want to stick it to you for everything they can. I do plan to leave my dog for a week when I'm ready to go on a small vacation as I felt comfortable with their daycare. I would have given them a five star but it seems like I had to ask all the questions myself and was not told what to do after the surgery and a number of other questions it's like I had to extract everything from her myself. I've gone before to another vet Dr Zoo but unfortunately the reviews were not great when it came to teeth cleaning and after reading this vet it seemed like they had really good reviews so that's why I went to see her and overall I think it was great and I believe I can trust them for another surgery but she also does not do bone surgery she said. Again I would have liked to have had her explain everything post-surgery pre-surgery details but it seemed like I have to ask for all my concerns myself.
