Trusting someone else to care for him is not something I take lightly. From day one, Crystal has been incredible. She has taken a genuine interest in my service dog's health and well-being. Thanks to her recommendation to change his diet, his cholesterol dropped from over 300 to a normal level. That alone shows how much she truly cares about every dog in her care. The entire team at Wagging Tails is outstanding. James and all of the daycare staff treat my dog with so much love, attention, and respect. They keep him active, happy, and engaged every time he's there, and it's obvious they care about the animals as if they were their own. When I leave my service dog at Wagging Tails, I'm leaving a part of my life in their hands. There are very few people I trust enough to do that, but with this team, I have complete peace of mind. They have earned my trust, my gratitude, and my highest recommendation. Thank you, Crystal, James, and everyone at Wagging Tails for everything you do.

They have made accommodation for disability, and gone above and beyond in that regard. Our dog loves the staff and we feel confident in leaving our dog with them because of their dog vetting process. They also have a wonderful grooming team and are very helpful with pet food and supplies. Our dog's bloodwork is great now because of the food recommendation that Crystal suggested. Will be a customer for life!

Despite its prime location along Queens Blvd, it's a little too easy to miss Wespaw Pets. It's by…read moreno means a large pet store, but I'm fairly confident it's the best one in all of Sunnyside. I've always been super impressed with their helpful customer service, super niche inventory, and how organized everything is in the store. It's certainly not like the chain'y mega stores but it is quaint and clean. They have a good number of things: pet food, pet toys and everything in between it all. Most of the stuff is geared toward cats and dogs, but they surely have the supplies for folks bringing up a ::insert animal:: into their home. Another bonus? It actually smells good in here. (#1) As is the deal with most stores with premium goods, their stuff can get expensive. While most everything can probably found online for cheaper, it's the best option for being able to get something in person without the wait for shipping. For those not able to make to the store, they also deliver for a fee. Lastly, keep an eye out for their monthly sales -- that's the best time to come. ____________ (#1) You know that odor when entering some pet stores? Not here.

Not really sure if thats normally how it is. I bought 2 cherry shrimps and it ran me $6. I ordered two Red-Tailed Red-Eye Puffers (Carinotetraodon irrubesco) from Monster Aquarium. What…read morearrived were two completely different fish--large, highly aggressive Pao puffers, apparently Pao abei and/or Pao cochinchinensis. These aren't species that could reasonably be confused in terms of size, temperament, or care requirements. This created an immediate problem. Irrubesco are small puffers that I had appropriate housing prepared for. The fish I received were roughly 3-4 inches long and belong to a group notorious for extreme aggression, requiring secure individual housing. I had to improvise emergency setups to keep them separated from each other and from my other fish while figuring out what they actually were. The most disappointing part was the response afterward--or lack of one. I contacted Monster Aquarium about the misidentification and sent photographs of the fish. I never received a response or any attempt to resolve the situation. Fortunately, a knowledgeable local aquarium store was willing to take both puffers, and they are now safely in experienced hands. But I had to solve a problem that never should have been mine in the first place. Fish identification matters, particularly with puffers. Sending someone a potentially extremely aggressive Pao in place of a small Carinotetraodon isn't just getting an order wrong; it can put the fish, the customer's existing livestock, and potentially the aquarist at risk. I understand that mistakes happen in the aquarium trade, especially with species that can be difficult to identify. What makes this a bad experience for me is that after a very consequential mistake, the seller simply did not respond.
