Workers smell like cat pee. Unfriendly and rude staff. They have a shower for dogs might as well let your employees use it. They say no checks on items more than 200 but you could write a bad check for a pet and scam the non profit. All the managers boss cares about is the dentist if you know what I mean. Sounds like a money laundering front do not support. Also my kid got a fish there and an employee killed it at the counter by letting it fall off the counter. Then I had to book an all expenses paid trip to Hawaii just to have my wife talk to me. This all has affected my marriage and my kids mental health. I go here often for items for my cats and birds. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They seem knowledgeable and willing to assist in anyway they can. I highly recommend! I just got my first parakeet/budgie from them and so far he seems very healthy and was already eating millet out of my hand the second day home. read more

I took my Lhasa Apso/Poodle mix boys to Amber for grooming at this new Pet Food Center on N. Green River. Amber was very pet and people friendly and I watched her groom another small dog before I decided to trust her with my boys. My dogs took to her right away and their grooming was completed quickly with no drama and no fuss. When I picked them up they were happy and showing off - you could tell that they felt good. I booked the appointment on Sunday and the boys were in for grooming on Tuesday. No excessive wait time. I will take my boys to see Amber again. read more

This is a small store but they have quite a bit in stock. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. I asked if they could order a Cockatoo and she said she would keep an eye out on the paperwork for me. Then I asked about an invisible fence and the girl went thru every box with me to explain the differences and specs. She also said they price match so I could go online and find that brand and probably find it cheaper and they would match it. read more

Very disrespectful and unpatriotic to 1 day give veterans a discount on dog/cat food, the things bought most frequently, then taking that benefit away with no heads up, no notification or anything! We buy 50 lbs of food every 2 weeks. Will never set foot in either store again! read more

That have apparently upped their game in the self wash dept. as they have been vary attentive to the space the three times I've utilized for my large boxer recently. Ample soap and towels and the facility is clean. My only caution is the floor is slippery when wet. It would be beneficial if they put in a non skid surface (before they get sued). read more

I walked into the store and was hit with a weird smell instantly. I was looking for a fish so I walked past the birds on my way and I saw piles of poop next to the compacted birds. I then walked past the ferrets and the corner of the cage was caked with poop. I then walked into the fish section and saw dead piles on the bottom of the tanks and some floating on the surface. I then went to leave and I saw cats, so I went over to them to look. There were only two and one looked sick to me. He had dried snot all over his face. The other cat seemed very uncared for. This trip was very depressing for me and my buddies and I will not be going back to that store. read more

If I could give the self washing station a zero stars I would. The water was cold. None of the driers worked properly. No brushes. There were 3 people washing pets, and only 1 apron. Terrible waste of time and money. I won't be back. read more

Extremely rude and elitist. Stick to the outstanding PFC on 1st ave. My cat was un able to eat solid foods due to resorptive lesion. So per my cats vet, I went in to find something she could handle to eat until her surgery. I asked the lady if they carried delectable, instead of helping me find a healthier option, this extremely rude elitist told me in a highly judgemental tone, they would never carry such a product. This is only the 2nd time in my entire life I've left a negative review, because I work in hospitality industry, I'm more understanding, but there was no excuse for this person's behavior. So here is my "RANT" about Pet Food Center on St. Joe! Gggggrrrrr! My daughter had a rabbit that was a female and she wanted to get it a playmate. She went to Pet Food center here is Evansville on the West Side to get her a new bunny!!!!! Fun Fun, right? Well she went to get another female because she had a female, makes sense, right? So she was told not once, not twice BUT 3 times that for SURE it was a female. Where you can see where I am going with this story right? YEP! It was a male, ggggrrrrrr. So we had lovely lil bunnies upon waking up one morning and discovered that out Lilly was a Willy, LOL, ok really not that funny. Especially since we now had to take care of them all! EXPENSIVE! Well of course we called them immediately to explain that they seriously made a mistake and asked how were they going to fix it. That is what you would do, right? Well guess what? They are only not going to refund the rabbit we bought in error, or replace it, BUT they did not want the bunnies either!!!! Are you serious? Well Ms. Vicky manager who would not call us back, I have a plan. I hung up signs all around your store offering FREE bunnies to anyone that can give it a good home. Then I proceeded on over to Rural King Farm store to get a huge bag of rabbit food, cheaper than yours may I add, and made little bags of free food to those who took a bunny home. I also built little carriers for them to be took home in. So I figure that 1 rabbit, 1 bag of food and 1 cage from your expensive store would have ran about $85-$100 per customer. So by me directing all your bunny customers MY way. I figure I cost you about $600 for the day. I guess not giving me back my $25 wasn't worth that or this bad review that I am sure will be shared.
