I can't stress enough how amazing the employees are at this Pet Food Express location. As first time dog owners who unexpectedly adopted a dog, we have been so grateful for how helpful, reassuring, and loving every employee has been. Shay was the first person who helped us get everything we needed to make our dog feel comfy and cared for. She was super patient, knowledgeable, and extraordinarily helpful. Ruben helped us on our 2nd trip and lovingly showered our pup with affection and showed us how to properly put on our new pup's harness. I am especially impressed with how knowledgeable the employees are about the products in the store and broader marketplace. Thank you to Shay, Ruben, and all the other employees who showered our new dog with treat samples, kindness, and care. Your expertise and kindness brought so much joy and comfort to our growing family. Other things that might be helpful to know: 1. The parking lot is small and difficult to navigate but there is add'l parking on the upper level. Definitely recommend avoid going between 5p-7p if possible cause there's a lot going on in the complex between pickups from Han Martial Arts and dinner at Italian Colors. 2. Returns and exchanges are hassle free at Pet Food Express, just make sure to hang on to your receipt in case your pet doesn't love that bag of treats or you bought the wrong sized item. 3. I live nearby this Pet Food Express, it's smaller than other Pet Food Express locations in the area, but it gets the job done and then some. It has met the needs for me and my dogs, they have a good selection of stuff including a frozen Just Food For Dogs section that we've bought stuff from before. Their scale works, sometimes other stores' scales aren't always working. I mainly go to there because it's one of the locations for VIP Pet Care and they operate on weekends, it used to be Sunday mornings, now it's Saturday afternoon. One tip: While it's not publicized for a lot of their items if you buy 3, you'll get a fourth for free. I'm not sure why it's not more well known, one time buying some bully sticks from there the person at the register told me to get another one. Not related to my experience there, but I also hear Pet Food Express does a lot to help pet charities and shelters. read more

Go straight to this location. Have been to other stores and this is the best one by far. The staff is wonderful. Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and fun! Taking my 10 mo puppy has been challenging. Really love this location. All the staff are so attentive and really goes out of their way to provide a consistent phenomenal service. I come here to bathe our dogs after running them at the dog park and very convenient too right off Hwy 13. There are I believe six dog bathe station and split into three different rooms which is fantastic with lots of space between dog owners. They provide three towels but you can ask for extra in case you need them. If you buy three tokens you get the fourth dog bath token for free. The mobile vet VIP Pet Care is also here on Saturdays I believe around 3pm. You checkin using their QR code and they will text you when it's your turn to be seen. I also like that the aisles are clearly marked so very easy to find what you're looking for. Good selections of dog food and treats, and they have a dedicated area for pet hemp products which I think is very cool. I highly recommend coming here for their excellent service and good selections of pet products all in one. Cheers! read more

After a bad experience at the location on Piedmont I decided to stop giving my business to Pet Food Express. The other week I found myself at this location after having a dog food emergency and I was very surprised by the staff. I'm not sure if they're genuinely this helpful or if I just happened to catch them on a good day, but it's a BIG difference from how I was treated at the other location. Dean was super friendly and totally understanding when my purse knocked down part of a display. (So sorry!) This is my go to Pet Food Express, but unlike most chains, I find that their service is exceptional regardless of which store I find myself in. The staff is all super knowledgeable and very friendly and my pet needs have run a pretty wide spectrum. Highlights- - Most brands of food have a buy 3 get 4th free offer. - They have a very extensive CBD section (much more than I've found at dispensaries and more affordable as well). This place is much more than a pet food store. They also have a weekly veterinarian station, a dog washing area, and the employees are all incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Ever since we got our kittens from OAS we've been coming here for advice on feeding, grooming and all things cat care and they are more like consultants. We were out of cat food and drove down to Pet Food Express and got there at 6:05PM on Sunday and ran to the door (closing time 6PM). We saw the folks closing up and stared forelornly through the glass door. One of the workers opens the door and says "Sorry, we're just closing up. What did you need?" We told him we were out of cat food and he replies "Well, we don't want any hungry pets! Our registers are shut, but if it's just some food why don't you come in and grab a small bag of what you need and then come back sometime during the week and pay for it." So we did. Wow. What a wonderful group of people! This is the place to socialize your puppy and get all your doggie supplies. They have a great selection of toys, training tools, leashes and harnesses and of course high end dog food. The staff here is so nice, helpful and knowledgable. I feel so lucky to have them as a resource! The VIP Petcare mobile clinic (Sundays) is also great. My puppy had all of his shots here. Parking may be a bit tricky but it's worth it! This is a fantastic Pet Food Express -- the staff are friendly and helpful, I have never had to search for someone to help with a question. When I hobbled in with a sprained knee, a staff member helped me load and push my cart and then load my car! Reasonable prices become great deals on buy 3 get 4th free for all items. Conveniently located at the bottom of the hill from East Bay parks for a quick doggie clean-up before heading home after muddy/poison oaky hikes in the hills. read more

I love this location. It's the closest one to me, the staff are super helpful. Parking is always available in a free lot. It's also June of the larger locations, so they have a wide variety of food, toys, treats, shampoos, supplements and first aid items. Also have a dog washing area, which is very nice and convenient and split into two rooms, so you only ever share with one other washer. The soap in the machine is also great and includes a sensitive skin/allergy formula I also got a great orientation the first time I brought my dog for a wash. read more

The owners of the store are two locals who support the community by offering supplies and services to local non-profit organizations. I have attended special events they have at the store to raise money for local charities and pet organizations. Big supporter of Pet Food Express!! The parking lot is hidden behind a gas station. But once you get up the ramp, there's ample parking. I had gone around lunchtime on Monday and more than half the lot was empty. The staff was friendly and really helpful! Unfortunately our basset had an accident in the dog treat aisle and when I asked for paper towel to wipe it up, the gentleman behind the counter gladly did it for me. I felt bad having someone else wipe up after her, but the gentleman there didn't make a fuss about it. He even went on in saying not to worry about it and that it happens often. To that gentleman that I didn't catch the name of.. Thank you for being nice by not sneering at us when we were in the store. Once we ended up picking out what we needed, the same gentleman that cleaned up her pee, helped us at the register. He asked us if we found everything we needed and did so with a smile! But the other day they exceeded my expectations (again!) when I arrived at the store with a completely unruly mud-covered one year old Golden Retriever who at that moment forgot all her previous training and was completely out of control.
