Post murder nap

The photos are for the fantastic staff helping my nervous guy in store - made one happy pup and a great new space introduction

Baker, my 20 yo man kitteh. This is his, 'if you can't pet me while doing it, I'm pretty sure it's not worth doing," look.
Jaime S.

Employee Logan was incredibly helpful and sympathetic to my plight (I have a 20 yo cat who should only be eating wet food but really prefers kibble, and will only eat pate if it's "something new.") Logan had great suggestions, let me know about their "if he won't eat it, put it back in the can, bring it back in, and we'll find something better" policy (HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS? ERMAGERD), and even hooked me up with a couple alternate food-based kitty hydration options that seniõr funky kitteh might enjoy. So much thanks to Logan, and to PFE for their awesome policy of "if he won't eat it, exchange it for something he might like better." Thank you!!

We've been bringing our dog here for baths, treats, supplies, etc for 2+ years now and I rarely review chain stores but our experience tonight warranted a special mention. Their pet self-wash station had been closed when the Rona hit and I was counting down the days to return because paying for a groomer was $$$. I was all stoked when I called the store earlier in the day to confirm washing stations resumed and honestly never been more excited to take my baby for a bath. When we arrived, a store associate told us they were closing at 6pm (and it was about 10 till). We rushed to the washing station and hoped to squeeze in a quick bath but the same associate quickly came and told us we couldn't since they were closing at 6pm. I was irritated since I called the store earlier and hadn't been informed of this and the store information of hours is also inaccurate online. The store associate was nice as can be about it and gave us a bath coin for the inconvenience AND a free bag of high quality treats. They listened to my feedback and really made us feel like we mattered as customers even though I'm sure closing the store early wasn't their decision. Thank you JR for your kindness and making what would've been an inconvenient situation into a pleasant experience that affirms us as returning customers.

We called in to see if they carried Capstar. Logan told us to come on down and we can weigh the pup to select the right dosage. So off we went. Everyone greeted us when we walked in. We got Hiro weighed and the Capstar. Hiro needed a new leash, brush and a treat all of which Logan helped us find. We also did not know they have self washing stations. Will be back next week to was the dog.

My dog Dolly and I LOVE this location! Seriously the most friendly & helpful staff ever. We love visiting and buying all our treats and food here. Always organized, and best of all they have awesome product knowledge. Dolly wants to go in when we walk by at night and doesn't understand the places closed

This was our first time today giving Luna a bath outside our house! From the moment I walked in until I left; the staff were AMAZING! From answering all my questions! Making Luna feel at home to digging my mask out of the towels I accidentally threw it in!! Thank you

Shay was the first person who helped us get everything we needed to make our dog feel comfy and cared for. She was super patient, knowledgeable, and extraordinarily helpful. Ruben helped us on our 2nd trip and lovingly showered our pup with affection and showed us how to properly put on our new pup's harness. I am especially impressed with how knowledgeable the employees are about the products in the store and broader marketplace. Thank you to Shay, Ruben, and all the other employees who showered our new dog with treat samples, kindness, and care. Your expertise and kindness brought so much joy and comfort to our growing family. Other things that might be helpful to know: 1. The parking lot is small and difficult to navigate but there is add'l parking on the upper level. Definitely recommend avoid going between 5p-7p if possible cause there's a lot going on in the complex between pickups from Han Martial Arts and dinner at Italian Colors. 2. Returns and exchanges are hassle free at Pet Food Express, just make sure to hang on to your receipt in case your pet doesn't love that bag of treats or you bought the wrong sized item. 3. The online shopping experience is easy to navigate AND if you shop online through this link: https://www.petfood.express/?p=ROCKET, they will donate 4% to Rocket Dog Rescue, a wonderful volunteer-run organization that saves lives.

Thank you pet club for doing what is right and not selling live animals anymore! huge selection. It's like the dog version of Costco. good prices on everything. Way better prices than union busting pet food express, pet supplies plus, petvet, and petco. Pet club's prices sometimes even rival online retailers like chewy. No complicated rewards program or data mining BS (pet food express cashiers request your email and name at checkout now, despite there being NO rewards or incentives - this is data mining, they are selling your data.), just straight forward great prices. By far the best pet store in terms of value and selection in the East bay. The staff is all really nice but sometimes the store seems a little under staffed. Thats every store nowadays lately though. Only deducting one star because their pet wash is absolutely filthy (albeit far less gross than pet food express whose staff only "clean" the tubs by spraying them with water for 15 seconds). The concept of a self service pet wash requires a lot of upkeep and I feel if pet club invested some money into revamping the wash area and keeping it staffed, it would greatly benefit their business.

Not a single complain. +Dog training+ While we were pretty amazed by the intelligence of our corgi, it was clear that our DIY dog training via YouTube videos wasn't gonna cut it in the long run. So we got some dog training estimates from around Oakland, and the most affordable option was the one from Unleashed, where classes start at $119. We signed up for "Puppy Level 1", which really laid the necessary groundwork for our dog: sit, down, stay, come, etc. Each class lasts an hour and the course lasts 6 weeks. But while there can be appeal & concern at the same time for a dog training class that's, well, cheap, rest assured you will get the best possible trainer: Steph! She's the most down-to-earth, approachable & knowledgeable dog trainer that you'll have the pleasure of working with. She always pushed our corgi to the max, but always through positive enforcement. Because of her, we signed up for "Adult Level 1" as well. Pro tip: on the last day of training, your dog will get a big baggie full of cookies so no need to purchase a graduation gift (chuckle.)

The Vet stops me and says "No pictures please" which is fine I stopped respectfully but she added "I mean I don't go to your job and take pictures of you" (with a sassy tone) she didn't need to add that totally killed my mood. Why would I want a picture of her? Mind you I work at a Mexican restaurant where there's pics of me posted on yelp without my knowledge. This is the 2 second vid I screenshotted to show what I was recording before I could adjust and zoom in. Mind you she had no problem hugging, kissing and rubbing her face on my dog like if it was hers/was ok to do but I kept my mouth shut.

Was able to pop in and out just before closing and get exactly what I needed in no time. Lots of efficient help here. I think good prices too - and faster than waiting for shipping in an urgent case. Lots of parking and in a shopping center that is convenient if you do shopping elsewhere. There is this homeless skinny black cat and I had the suspicious feeling he has worms - he is so friendly I was able to put Advantage on him and so I thought after that was taken care of a dewormer would be worthwhile. I like to call him 'The Husband' - he takes care of his wife - a callie cat - and guards the stairs from intruders as she eats. He really isn't interested in eating - I think he might do that elsewhere - but he likes to hang around and sit next to me after his wife eats and runs. He is so skinny and the two of them look sort of pathetic. Globs in their fur, probably diseases and fleas - but I like them. Due to their upper respiratory disease I have to be carful with them and not introduce their problems to my cat - but I still help them out best I can. I give them wet food and dry and Lysine from here to help with allergies or the URI. Probably in the future i will TNR them as Mrs Meow looks worn out from having children with this guy. I like her a lot she reminds me of my Pig Pig.

This review is describing my experience with everything pet bird related at this store: cage, food,…read moretoy selection; cleanliness and organization; and the worst part--that they sell birds. Not only do they sell birds, but they house the birds in a tiny, cramped, windowless room in tiny cages, with one fluorescent ceiling light and what appears to be no human interaction or fresh air or appropriate light. The room is about the size of my bedroom, and there are cages stacked to the ceiling full of birds, but the cages are tiny. Back when I didn't know any better in the '90s, I purchased two parrots from pet stores, as "hand-raised babies," but those stores had all the birds in appropriately sized cages with sunlight and lots of toys and out time with visitors if you sanitized your hands. They felt out the potential owners and didn't sell birds to just anyone. Now I know better, as I volunteer with a local parrot rescue that has to turn away hundreds of unwanted pet birds a year on top of the hundreds they take in. One of those volunteer duties is doing home visits for the adoption applicants, and one took me this week to near this store, and the applicant told me about it and showed me this terrible-looking seed mix they purchased there for pets. So I stopped by this store to see what/why they were selling, and the sad and crowded windowless bird-commodity room made me cry. I left in tears. I had first browsed the shelves for toys and food, and I found the shelves unorganized, out of stock on several items, and the floors dirty. Plus a cat running around. And the cages they were selling were all tiny as well. Here's something significant and equally emotional. Under "pets" on the front page of their website, they strongly encourage adopting from shelters for dogs and cats. SO WHY NOT BIRDS? Birds live longer, are more complicated, are often more intelligent and with more complex needs, and our rescues are overrun! WHY?!?! (Profit! And it's terrible.) This is their own words--why don't they believe this for birds??!! They should contact every rescue on the West Coast and find out how overrun we are. "We have in stock a selection of small pets which include birds, fish, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids. If you are looking for a pet kitty or pooch, we HIGHLY urge you to check out the local shelter where there are great animals looking for loving homes. Mike's Feed & Pets does not sell dogs or cats but we do have a complete line of products to help you care for them"
