After 7 years of loyalty I was told I can no longer take my dog due to a few rescheduled appts. I moved from mcdonough to Dunwoody. For 3 of the 7 years I drove over 32 miles to Melissa bc she's amazing. The owner tells the receptionist ( too coward to tell Me) me that he can no longer service my dog . Never ever met me before has no idea the loyalty that clients like myself had to this establishment. I will no longer make any more referrals to this place. Owner sucks. First, let me preface this review letting you know if I could I would give 0 stars. I had been a client of this grooming salon for 20+ years. Unfortunately, I had to cancel 2 appointments in a row because of medical emergencies. Furthermore, I always paid for any appointments I missed at the next appointment. in 20 years, i may have missed 5 appointments counting the 2 consecutive appointment. After the cancellation in September 2024, they would not return my 15 calls to schedule for October. This is very unprofessional and unnecessary. Melissa has been the groomer working with my 15 year old Maltese and has always done an excellent job but, now, I even question her loyalty to senior pets she groomed their entire life. You would think after 20 years of loyalty they would show the same loyalty to me. Any star would be too kind. read more

We have 2 dogs in our home, Milo (Llasa Apso Poodle mix) and Mello (shih-tzu). Took them for grooming at Pet Kingdom back in September since my brother recommended it. Mello is a little difficult to groom, however, Milo is typically calm. When we picked them up they actually said it was the opposite. Milo was the one acting up. The actual grooming came out great. We discussed bringing them separately and giving them something to calm them while grooming the next time. Fast forward to today, 11/21/2023. I call to make an appointment and was told they could no longer be brought there for grooming because we didn't bring them at least 4 weeks later so they can adjust. #1 I was never told I had to bring them back in 4 weeks. #2 Not everyone can fork over nearly $200 a month for pet grooming. #3 the fact that they didn't even try to get to know our pets tells me a lot about them. Therefore, if your pet is difficult, do not bother. They will not honor their word to work with you. Very disheartening and unfortunate. read more

This place could be a great grooming salon however the owners are not friendly at all and every time I turn around they have new groomers so that tells me a lot. Craig the owner is a rude man. He berated me when picking up my dog. Stating that he should have charged me $150 minimum for grooming my Great Pyrenees dog. It is already extremely difficult to go there following the passing of our dog's sister and Craig made it exponentially WORSE by berating me in a way that shook me so much I left in tears. What should have normally been a mundane transaction elsewhere turned into a one-way heated exchange. His demeanor was one of despisement. It was really scary. I was scared for my SAFETY. He essentially accused me of neglecting my dog and never let me explain how I DO TRY to groom my dog. Craig is in my opinion a TACTLESS individual, may God reprove him accordingly. read more

I have 5 dogs and always choose to go to pet kingdom for my pets groomings. It looks like they take their time with each dog and always warn me about things i should keep an eye on or things that i wasnt aware about. I have not witnessed such amazing customer service in a long time! I was on my way to GA while evacuating from NC due to hurricane Florence. I called to get an appointment for my Yorkie sisnce we might be here for a little while. The young lady that I spoke with asked if I had her shot records, which I did not, and she actually googled my dog's clinic and had them fax her records. I am so impressed with this business! Took my main man in for a shampoo and nail file. I arrived just a bit after their daily cut off time for same day service and they were accommodating. I'm so frustrated and disappointed at the service I received today. When I dropped off my dog this morning, he was full of hair. I told the lady at drop-off that I wanted the Breed cut. When i saw my dog this afternoon, he was bald. The Golden Doodle bread cut is not bald!!! Then, the groomer stated we cut his hair similar to last time. Well, Last time, he was matted so they told me they were going to cut him low beforehand. This time, he was not matted. Then she proceeded to say she looked back at his file and noticed he had been cut low before..obviously she overlooked the several times he had the breed cut. And, the person at the front desk, clearly did not relay the correct message about his cut. If you saw multiple cuts in his file, why not call and confirm??? I guess I need to attach a picture to my dog next time!!! So disappointing. Can't believe I paid $110 for a mistake. Her response was, it was a miscommunication. And, her final concern was...should I cancel his next appointment in 4 weeks?? Well.....Yes, unless his hair magically grows back at a faster rate. SMH!! I took my happy running playing Pomeranian mix in to be groomed last week and when I went to pick him up, he was in respiratory distress and lethargic. I went straight to the veterinarian hospital to have him checked out. He was given steroids. After the prescription ran out, his respiratory symptoms returned. He died on Thursday. X-rays did show an enlarged heart, but his lungs had filled with blood. That's not something that usually happens without some trauma. I am devastated and sad in Stockbridge. read more

I have been bringing my Yorkie to be groomed to the place for over 2 years. How can you forget how a Yorkie is supposed to be groomed. I specifically advised Pet Kingdom to groom her the same as always low on her back and trim her face. When I went to pick up my Yorkie all of her hair was cut completely off her face be back. Any groomer in this world knows that you do not groom a Yorkies hair completely off. Pet Kingdom did not try to rectify the situation, but only to say it was a miscommunication. I will advise anyone to think twice before getting your pet groomed at this location. They have poor customer service. I will definitely not be coming back.... read more

My experience at Pet Kingdom was very unpleasant! The groomer that came out to talk me about my dogs groom was a bigger girl. I have nothing against heavier people but when I'm bringing my dog to you to be cleaned I expect you to be a clean person yourself. The smell coming from her was unbearable! If that is the kind of employees that they have working I can only imagine what the rest of the staff smells like! When I picked up my dog I was also very unhappy with the groom!
