Through a mutual friend, I was able to find Dr. Pauly again at BCAC and am so happy with the care my dogs get from her. She's now the medical director and doesn't do a full schedule of pet exams, but always gets my dogs on her calendar when we need her. In the few instances we needed immediate care, Dr. Aguirre (who is now here too!) has stepped right in. We are so happy to have this great team of caring vets and techs taking care of our pets. Huge shout out to Ketty who is hands down my favorite tech and makes me feel less stress when I need to leave my pets for a procedure. **To fully illustrate how much I love this practice, let me just say I live on the east coast for most of the year, but I still come back for vet care (obviously we have vets in our other locations, but this is our primary). It's worth the 27 hour drive. I'm sad to hear some recent reviewers have had a less than great experience and recommend they try to get in with Dr. Aguirre and/or ask for Ketty to be their tech. It will change the whole experience, guaranteed. Also, the ratings on Google are much more recent so check those out if you want current opinions.

They led us to a good sized room that had a tiny throw rug that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years, and brought the dog in and put him on it. They had completely paralyzed him and didn't even give him any happy drugs. Then they had problems with the final drug. The only thing he could do was move his eyes and look straight into my eyes to let me know how he felt. I have to live with that memory. It comes back to me every time I think about him. Although we are in healthcare(the vet didn't know) and had a good grasp of what was going on she was informative and talked to us in basic, easy to understand terms with everyday examples to illustrate her point. This attitude is really helpful for people who are overwhelmed but medical jargon. Helpful for us and definitely for the person who doesn't understand medicalese.

Also down to a couple of lanes along the way. Called and let them know I would be there and asked for specific directions. Got there no later than one minute. While putting my car in park in the Clinic lot, a call came through. and I was told I would have to wait. Went inside immediately with my howling cat after travelling there with the screaming all the way; my nerves were shot. Did multiple u-turns to get there. I arrived at 15 minutes after the appointment time and was told I would have to wait, with my screaming cat, until 4:30 to be seen by Dr. Kaza. I understand 15 minutes, but they had moved, I was not familiar with the area they moved to, I had a howling cat, I made several u-turns to get there during 2:30 traffic on Montgomery, and it was a wellness check. Tell me you couldn't have gotten the cat in for a wellness check without having to wait an hour and a half. Given the circumstances, they could have done much better without me having to take the time, and deal with the anxiety (both me and the cat) for another appointment, or the 90 minute wait. The best part was when the receptionist told me as I walked out, "we sent out an email". Tell me how that helped. I knew they moved. Just pissed me off even more. Needless to say, for a perfectly healthy cat, I'll be going elsewhere. And yes, I agree with others, reception was of no help. Or the Vet. No understanding. Zero compassion. Lousy solution. So upsetting.

They told me he did great while in the back briefly without me & gave me details of how he did & how they handled him. I felt very safe & comfortable with him in their care. And I was also highly impressed with how much info they already had on him from communication with his reg vet prior to our appt.
