My groomer is exceptional, listens to your needs, but front end staff needs a lot of help with issues that come up, they don't know how to talk to people, needing to put people in their place. They don't know who pays their paychecks. read more

What a wonderful place! All the staff is so friendly and helpful. Their hours are geared for the public and their rates are very reasonable. The facility is clean and they have a good number of people there working with the dogs. We really like the swimming pools & that dogs are able to play together. I love how they talk to Monty (our dog) like he's their own. He always comes back to us so healthy and happy. I feel confident that he's safe and cared for while he's there. I have taken my cat, Hugh here twice now and they have treated him like royalty. He was the only cat in the cat room this last time, and they let him roam freely during the day and made sure he got lots of cuddles as well. They sent me pictures of him and emails to let me know how he was doing, and if they had any concern they contacted me right away. He tends to be a finicky eater when I leave him, and they called for ideas on how to get him to eat. I was very impressed. They also call you a few days after pick up and ask how your fur babe is doing. Great customer service for sure! I will be using them during our time in Albuquerque. read more

Our oldest dog has been going to Pet Paradise since se was 12 weeks old. I have always felt good leaving him in their care. I have even referred them to everyone I knew looking for dog services. The grooming by Ashley has always been good. However in the last couple of months the customer service has taken a dive. Dealing with pets ( whom most people feel like their children) has become son by the book /black n white/ as opposed to a customer based service. Almost as if, it's not what you say but how you say it. We were late for a grooming appt. and were scolded by the receptionist and told their was NO way we could be at least attempted to be completed during the day since she was going to be staying all day in Dog Camp. This is just one instance. I am so disappointed in the decline of attitude and positivity that I was used to. We have now started the process of finding another facility to house/day camp and groom our pets. So sad we must leave Pet Paradise. read more

This boarding/grooming/daycare facility is amazing. I've been bringing my dogs here for many, many years, and I always appreciate walking into the lobby and the staff being excited to see me and my dogs. My dogs are always excited when we arrive too, so that tells me they enjoy their stays. My girl loves going to playtime with the other dogs and, my male gets lots of love and attention from the staff since he can't seem to get along with any dogs besides his sister! They are happy to feed the food I provide which is important to me. Pet Paradise is a clean and happy place, I suspect I'll be coming for many more years! read more

We took our 9 year old Westie to Pet Paradise it is a wonderful facility. Ralphie enjoyed his get acquainted day very much. The facility is clean , the staff is very friendly and super helpful. So glad we found Pet Paradise. We feel Ralphie will be very well taken care of, moved from another state a few months ago and we were worried about boarding. Just picked up my dog after her first time staying away from home. Pet Paradise took great care of her! I got daily pictures and emails, "from her" and she loved the play time! What can I say? My dog passed away three days after staying here. My dog was old but not on deaths door. I believe my dog caught kennel cough here. Danielle is the manager and honestly I would have had better luck dealing with a teenager. We did not get the room or services we paid for. My dog feared cages so we paid for a ridiculously large room. This room came with extra stuff and as we dug deeper and deeper we realized we were cheated. I believe they put my dog in a cage and It increased her pre-existing anxiety. Danielle literally asked if we did an autopsy on our dog! She really did. We were sent a copy of our dogs food chart from the stay (that was the only documentation that proved she was there) and on it said " loves butt scratches." Our dog had a bad leg and I never even touched her on the back end because she was sensitive. What kind of sick person falsifies something like that? Somebody that is scared of taking ownership of messing up, that's who!! I will never leave a pet at a boarding facility again ( if I ever get another dog) I blame myself for trusting this place. We spoke to a man based out of Florida and he was a lot more professional and apologetic, but it's too little too late. read more

It's Happy Puppy Day. My two boys instinctively know they are going to day Camp at Pet Paradise and wake us up at 6am. It is so ice to have a safe, clean, friendly place for our dogs to socialize with other dogs and get some exercise. It also gives us a carefree day to do errands, shop and dine. When my daughter visits we can include her dog in camp and explore the attractions in our beautiful state. read more

We love Pet Paradise. We have never been so happy. They do a great job with grooming. We have taken our schnauzers to others groomers but they have never taken such great care as Ashley does, their groomer. She does a beautiful job with grooming and the best consolation is that our dogs are not afraid of her. Pet Paradise does an excellent job to accommodate with scheduling their appointments. Couple issues here..... First, the last two times we have boarded the dogs they have both got kennel cough. Dogs need the bordetella vaccine before boarding but there must be various strains at this place. This place is already crazy expensive and adding a $150 vet bill on top of that is just too much. I mentioned the issue with the front counter person and received a smug response. Second, as I mentioned above - this place is expensive. $250 for three days of boarding is crazy. $550 for six days............I would look for a different place. read more

We've been taking our Great Dane here for day camp for a few months now and we couldn't be happier! They give her all the cuddles and love she can handle! We've also used them for overnight boarding...excellent! Highly recommend this pet resort!!!!! read more

Our dogs don't get out a lot and are a little shy with other dogs. The staff was wonderful with them and they were so happy (and tired ) when I picked them up! They were even starting to play with the other dogs when i went to pick them up which they never did at other boarding places! Highly recommend! read more

We really like RR Pet Paradise for boarding our dogs, and more. We have taken two dogs at a time to stay here (together in a king kennel room) and were happy with the care, communications and grooming. We especially appreciated the trainer who gave the dogs private sessions because we received video on our phones showing the dogs in motion. In particular, we have a fearful dog and we think staying at this facility helps her confidence. The first stay was a week, the second was 4 days, for both dogs. We also chose to have our pekapoo groomed both times and this fluffy white dog looked beautiful, cut exactly as we requested. The price was competitive with other places we have tried. read more

We dropped off our dog for a day to make sure she was comfortable before we left her for three nights of boarding. When we picked her up we learned she had been kept in a CAGE for the four hours she had been there. When we asked why we were told it was a computer glitch!!! I would NEVER EVER leave our girl there again. What we learned was that SOME of the time they would be outside but a lot of the time they would be locked in a CAGE. Hello??? We had an appointment this morning for a cat grooming. Got up early, wrangled her into a carrier, drove to Pet Paradise. Once there, they asked for her vaccinations! WTF!! Why didn't they tell us when we made the appointment that we needed to bring them! Not helpful, not courteous, would not groom her. Need to improve on their communication with new clients! Would not recommend them to anyone, a waste of our morning and time! Looked for an apology, none coming! Never again!! read more

We recently moved back to the area after several years living out of state and are again taking our dogs back to Pet Paradise for boarding and day care. The company changed management during our absence, but have not changed in their high quality dog care. We have a couple of jack russells who are very social and they love coming to Pet Paradise. Not only does the staff specialize in meeting both dogs' activity and social needs, but they clearly are compassionate about all of the animals. The facilities are top quality, too. Day care days are a special treat for our dogs and they come home happy and tired each time. And when we board our dogs here, we know they are in competent and caring hands. read more

Took my three small dogs to be groomed in November. They did a horrible job on all three for which we paid almost $300. Outrageous! When I checked them in at their 9a.m. Appt. time I specifically advised I did NOT want my dogs hair shaved off. They shaved them down anyway, despite it being the end of November with winter and cold temps looming. Spoke with Manager Martin to voice my unhappiness when I picked them up SIX HOURS LATER. He advised although they have SIX groomers working (all working on commission he stated) my dogs were not worked on by one groomer. Apparently, as Martin stated, this is to allow the dogs to relax before going on to the next step in the grooming process. In actuality it is,to,allow the six groomers to,work on as many dogs as they can to increase their commission. Without regard to how long the poor animal is forced to be locked up in their small cages. (YES, they ARE small as I did a tour prior to having them groomed) Martin informed me that IF I want my dogs groomed by one groomer they charge an additional $18/per dog in order to have them done within a reasonable time which Imconsider to be 1-1/2 hours. I have been to many groomers over the years with different dogs. NEVER, EVER have I had to,leave them for SIX hours to be groomed. I always had a specific appointment with a groomer for them to work on MY dogs and NOT have them treated as part of an assembly line as they are at Pet Paradise. Think about it when you go,to the nail salon, hair salon or any other service establishment are you charged EXTRA for the technician to ONLY work on your hair, nails etc?? I NEVER have been. That is outrageous and obviously they care more about their bottom line profit than they do the care of the pet. To make matters even worse, one of the SIX groomers that work on my little Missy, my Shih Tzu cut her and was bleeding when I checked her over at Home. They did NOT inform me this happened (the groomer was questioned and advised she told me on the phone-she did NOT and I had recorded our conversation to document this) and she did NOT have a sore/scab on her tummy BEFORE being incompetently groomed. I then spent $85 at our vet to have her checked the following day to be certain there was no infection. Despite Martin's protestations to me as to how they only care about the comfort of the animal, it is NOT accurate in MY opinion. They did not give them any water, nor were they taken out in order for them to potty. All three, when we walked out, immediately ran to the grass to potty and upon our arrival at home they all drank an enormous amount of water. Save your money and find a more responsible grooming facility in Rio Rancho or Albuquerque that is willing to have the SAME groomer work on your dog every time you take them to the facility so that the groomer remembers your dog/cat and your pet is familiar to the groomer. NOT an assembly line. We will never return!!. I only wish I was able to give them ZERO stars. read more

I boarded my two cats for a long weekend because we were having visitors and needed the guest room. The people there were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. When I picked them up, I received a little card summarizing their eating, and behavior habits, which were pretty much the same as at home, so I had that added level of comfort. My two cats get along so they were able to share a kennel cage, which saved me a little money, and I requested that they be fed separately, which was not a problem at all. Pet Paradise is an amazing pet resort! The facility is beautiful and the employees are wonderful. I brought my dog here for boarding last year, and the experience was great. I was concerned about leaving him as he had only been boarded one other time in his life, but I was quickly put at ease. The staff gave my dog extra attention and slowly were able to get him out of his shell and make him feel at home there. I used the add-on service, furever connected, so I would be able to get updates daily while I was gone, and the communication was excellent. I received a very detailed report with photos and even names of the pets he was outside playing with that day. The boarding service includes 3 hours of playtime outside per day, and there are live webcams that you can access online so you can check up on your pet! My dog previously was not very social, but through the experience of boarding at pet paradise he is able to socialize with other dogs -- even ones quite a bit larger than him. Pet Paradise is the only boarding facility I trust my dog with, and highly recommend it! read more
