I took in a dog that was abused the first 2 years of his life. Sully has been with me for 4 years and has come a long way but is still high anxiety. I initially took him to Petpros to talk about his diet. They were so friendly and compassionate that we still go there to work on his socialization. Great group of guys working here. Very courteous and knowledgeable. Russell has gone above and beyond for me a few times now, and I've even found out that they'll price match! Quaint little locally owned shop. While their selection isn't huge, it is quality. By quality, I mean that there are different good grades for dog food (for example), and they carry the higher ones on the list. If you're unsure, ask! Their staff have been nothing but accommodating and friendly. If they don't carry what you're looking for they are more than happy to order it for you and give you a call when it comes in. My first visit was 5 stars all the way. I believe the manager was helping me. She must of been the manager because she was so sweet and talkative, attentive, and helpful. We just got our first puppy she helped with our questions. I bought a dingo dog chain, and some treats. The petite snacks worked great for our small poodle mix puppy. The lady also said if our dog does not the treat bring it back and pick a different one awesome service!!! Our dog loved the treats. 2nd visit oh where was the helpful lady. The first employee was a let down. Our puppy chewed through the dog chain and we just had her a month. The first employee just told me the obvious. " Well puppies do that" okay thanks for that. The second employee saved the day. She explained what she did with her dog to not have chew on the chain. She recommend adding a tiny bit of dish soap on it. Then she also recommended we get a rope one. We actually had gotten a rope great quality. That was from Tuesday Morning. We like the military discount they offer. I used to love Pet Pros would recommend to anyone. Russel was a great Manager he helped my lab with stomach issues the last two years with his help has been great. Well.......unfortunately there's a new manager and she is not very nice unfortunately Russel has moved to the Milton store(lucky them!!). A little over a month ago, we discovered through blood work that our eldest dog had extremely elevated liver enzymes after a visit to the vet. The vet prescribed some medication, and advised on switching to a low protein diet. My wife went into Pet Pros where Russell advised her to use a specific dog food, along with goats milk and fish oil. He continued with explaining the specifics of what we should do, how much and when. We followed the advice he offered, and a month later, the follow up blood work revealed a significant drop in liver enzymes, along with a significant increase in our dog's energy level and mobility. I absolutely love this store and their staff. Especially Russell!! You can walk into this store and be immediately greeted with a smile. If you don't need help, awesome.... they aren't pushy. If you need help, they are right there to help you, answer questions, offer samples of a new food or carry stuff out to your car. I have Bengals and Sphynx who always eat a grain free or raw diet. We have also taken in fosters who have a hard time eating or need extra TLC. I love finding a good quality pet store that has more than just the big name brand pet diets, but food that is great for your pet without a huge price tag. Some brands even have a reward program. If they don't have what you need, they'll order it. The store is bright, cheery and well organized without it being overwhelming. While not huge, the store offers a lot of different options and a little bit of everything for your pet. Doors ding as you come in; no one was up front but I heard employee noises in back. I wandered around for a few mins, looking in vain for something I've purchased there before. Still no one came out. The noises in back escalated to a woman angrily complaining to or confronting someone else, with some f'ing this and that. A woman then banged out of the back, exiting the store. I went here when my dog was sick and was refusing to eat her food. The young man who helped me was very sincere and concerned about finding a different type of food my dog might like. One of them was very expensive, at least to me, however the salesperson told me if my dog didn't like it to bring it back for a refund. Didn't really matter as my dog liked both types. We so appreciate this as we had adopted a rescue within the last 12 months. So this was all new to us.
