I took my dog, Sully, in for a groom, and he returned with significant injuries to the margins of both ears (see photos). When I questioned the groomer, they insisted these were "hematomas" and denied any responsibility. I immediately took Sully to the vet for an urgent care exam. The veterinarian confirmed that these appear to be cuts, not hematomas. When I followed up with the grooming salon, the staff showed zero concern for Sully's well-being. Instead of addressing the injury, they repeatedly cited "paperwork" my wife signed to claim they weren't liable for vet bills. Accidents happen in grooming, but the refusal to acknowledge the injury and the dismissive attitude regarding Sully's pain is unacceptable. I paid for a professional service and ended up with a $126 vet bill and an injured dog. I will not be returning and would caution others to check their pets thoroughly before leaving. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. On 4/13, my dog Penny was dropped off for grooming services. They were instructed to give her a small hair cut around her legs and behind area along with her paw pads. Upon, pick up we were given her back completely botched and with the worst haircut possible. She is a golden retriever she should've never been shaved with a mushroom head. The lines are so crooked anybody else could've done a better. I have worked in pet care before, I know this is not how grooming appointments should go. I spoke to the "manager" the following day to which she said "human errors" happen and I could bring her back for them to "fix" it , there was no fixing this you can't glue hair back on. Terrible customer service! I am very disappointed with Woofers. If I could, I would give Zero stars. We met several of their employees at an event in the Spring where we took our Sheepadoodle. At that time, she was about 6 mos old and hadn't had her first groom yet. They were very nice and told us they would be happy to groom her, as they are doodle owners themselves. Due to scheduling conflicts we weren't able to get her in right away and used another groomer, but were very much looking forward to taking her to Woofers. That time finally came last week and we couldn't believe they way we were treated. When we first walked in there were two kids running around and the lady behind the desk looked flustered, telling them to "go play elsewhere." She didn't greet us nicely at all, knowing it was our first time there, but was just very matter of fact, "Name? Address? Good phone number? What breed is your dog?" She never once engaged with our baby, even though we placed her on the counter. She briefly looked at the top of her head and said, "She's matted. The humane thing to do is to shave her head completely. You won't be happy when you pick her up." Wait, what? She had a small mat on top of her head and one on her ear and you want to completely shave her? You can't brush it out or use scissors? "No, we don't use scissors here, only clippers. I have to get under the mat to clip it out, so I'll have to shave her whole head down." But we specifically brought her here bc you said you're an expert with doodles, but you're telling us you won't take the time to get a couple mats out, you'll just shave her entire head? That sounds extreme. What if you have a dog come in that has long hair and needs groomed, you don't trim their hair with scissors? "We use clippers and the longest blade we have is 1 inch." So every dog that leaves here has hair that's an inch long or less? That makes no sense. "I'm telling you now that you won't be happy when you pick her up, so we're probably not a good fit for you." I scooped our baby up and walked out at that point. Never in my life have we been treated so rudely! Never have we had anyone meet our Annie and not say how cute she is. This lady was rude and impersonal. We honestly felt as if she would treat our sweet girl badly if we left her. When we got in the car, I was shaking and wanted to cry bc I couldn't believe what we had just encountered. I don't know if the lady was having a bad day, if the kids running around were on her last nerve, or what, but she didn't seem like she even likes dogs! I don't remember her name bc I left so upset but she had brown hair and this was in the afternoon on Wednesday October 25. We have several friends who are also looking for groomers for their doodle pups and they were waiting for our review of Woofers, we contacted them and said, "Do not take your baby there!!" First time here to get my dog's nails trimmed. My dog does get anxious and does not like when I cut his nails at home. Saw the good reviews so we brought him here. A nice lady took him into the back to get his nails trimmed and once he was done, she ONLY mentioned that he was anxious. That's fine, we paid and left. I looked at his dew claws and they were obviously too short that it bled and saw that they applied something to help it stop bleeding. She did not mention anything accidentally cutting them too short and it was not just one dew claw. Then, I notice some of his nails have not been trimmed at all. I understand it is difficult to trim nails with dogs like mine, but at least mention it. read more

My experiences with these trips here with our old gal Gracie has been extremely positive and wonderful. I also enjoyed finding out that this is a family owned and run business. I enjoy seeing the little kiddos there with their family instead of being put into a daycare while their family members are gone at work. They also make Gracie look and feel amazing. She's so happy and excited when we come back for her hair cut day and struts around like a little princess showing off her new look excitedly to everyone. I bring my two Frenchies here and I am always extremely pleased with the service when I pick them up. The staff here is extremely friendly & kind. I have never had a groomer get my pups to feel as soft as they do when we pick them up. Seriously they have to use something magically because they come back the softest pups I have ever felt. Edited for Update: I do want to mention that after posting this review, the business owner left a message for us offering to fix the haircut on our pup. We have yet to get back to them due to our busy schedules, but do appreciate their efforts to provide their clients with service that meets expectations. Our regular groomer referred us to Woofers as they were told to reduce their capacity (due to COVID), so we decided to try the grooming services here. The check in process was quick and easy, and the staff were very kind and accommodating. Upon seeing our pups once I returned home, however, I was pretty disappointed in the quality of the grooming. One of our dog's hair is incredibly uneven, and not the length that we requested. I think what concerns me the most, however, is the nail trim that was done on our other dog. All of the nails are uneven, some are chipped, some were cut at an angle making them very sharp. It feels as though there was a lack of experience or perhaps they were rushed. I generally do not like to leave a negative review , but our dogs are incredibly important members of our family and leaving them with somebody to groom or care for them is a big display of trust. As I mentioned, I have heard many great things, we did have some positives in this experience including the haircut on one of our pups, and the staff were very welcoming, I just wish the grooming had been a better experience all around. read more

If they do sloppy work and overcharge you...customer service from the owner, Lynette Borcherdingbat, goes like this; " Well we're just not a good fit for your dog" LOL ! And this little dog was already freshly bathed from home, brushed and toenails done, with no fleas. I was actually trying to be nice and support her business during this time and driving by I noticed the shop open so we pulled in and they were eager for the business. I told them the dog had very little for them to do because we hadn't planned for a grooming but do charge the regular $60 anyway. I told Lynette's daughter that they didn't need to do flea stuff either which is part of the grooming fee. When I picked the dog up I did notice the shoddy uneven sloppy cut and partial whisker grow out still on board and the simple cut was all they really had to do! Lynette's daughter then told me that the dog had fleas...couldn't have unless he got them there! I told her guess we better put the flea treatment on him then. Guess what? AFTER she put the flea treatment on the dog which is a normal part of the grooming...Cha Ching, seperate charge! LOL! Don't need to worry about these guys! They'll help themselves! I walked away, after having given $80, with a sloppy looking dog. I made sure all my friends saw him and knew which shop did it! LOL! Just hope Lynette can make it in today's market with these underhanded, sleazy business practices, especially when she cheats the people with the deep pockets... So you're right Lynette, we are "not a good fit" LOL ! I won't give money to cheaters a second time! read more

On December 6, 2016 I dropped my Standard Poodle off for a full groom. Since I was an established customer they are well aware that my Standard Poodle is over 11 years old and has had some past health issues and is currently losing his eye sight to an un-curable eye disease. After about 4 hours they called to let me know he was ready to be picked up. I arrived to pick him up and was greeted by the owner who proceeded to tell me quote "Titan has a bald spot on his back. You probably didn't see it because his hair covered it up" end quote. Then I was told he needed lots of breaks and might be a little sleepy this evening. She then told me that his feet were sensitive. Those are the only things she mentioned about my dog that day. I left the shop and returned home and immediately upon my dog getting out of the car noticed something was odd about his tail. On further inspection I was shocked to find that almost the entire tail was trimmed (not really shaved) and only a small clump of long hair remained on the top of the tail which is why I missed it at the shop. I quickly called the owner who told me I could bring him in the next day and they would fix it. I then told her there was really no fixing it and to let me text her a photo as I was curious what happened. They had not mentioned any grooming issues with the tail when I picked him up. She then texted me back and told me the groomer shaved it because it was matted. The next day I called the owner to ask her what her policy on mats was. Again I am not new to grooming and I would have expected a call as to what I would have liked done. That way any "fixes" could have been taken care of during the current groom thereby saving me and my dog a return visit not to mention the shock of the surprise appearance and wondering what happened. It was during this conversation I was told that the owner believed my dog to be sick and I should see a vet. When I told her he had just recently had a twice yearly check-up with great results she told me I should take him back because he was not well and that he was crying out in pain when the groomer was grooming his face. I ended the conversation in shock over what the owner was now telling me happened the previous day and to absorb the consequences of what she had just told me. After a bit of contemplation I called her back and let her know that I was very upset that she not only withheld information from me especially concerning something as serious as being in pain on the grooming table, but that I also thought the grooming should have been stopped immediately and followed by an immediate phone call to me. It also should have been the first thing she told me when I arrived to pick him up. I also requested that my tip be returned at this point since the groomer in no way deserved it. It was a bad grooming job, she lied, and didn't even give me all of the information she should have not to mention that I have no idea what she did to my dog to cause him to be in pain. The owner agreed to refund the tip but then again floored me by telling me that sometimes as a business owner she has to weigh how much she tells a client and that I seemed upset when she mentioned Titan needed breaks. At that moment I could not believe what the business owner was telling me. That she thought it ok to continue grooming an elderly dog that to her and the groomer was in obvious pain and that they thought sick and to then decide to not tell me about this until only questioned about their mat policy. I cannot believe someone who is in the animal business would ever allow this as acceptable. I am not in the habit of writing a bad review. In fact I contemplated on this for some time before finally deciding this should be heard by others. Of note is that I did take my dog to the vet within two days of the incident and he checked out fine with no pain during his exam which involved grooming to the face and a report that there was no reason not to continue grooming. Out of principle I requested a refund but was denied due to their explanation that they "performed". I dispute that claim responding that their performance was not only poor but not what I paid for and the pain was certainly never anything I requested. Also of note; I also had his nails trimmed by a new groomer who raved about how well he behaved. He has also since been groomed by a new groomer who also said he did just fine. And as mentioned earlier the bald spot checked out fine at the vet and grew back immediately. The real question is what happened to my dog that day? Sadly, the owner and the groomer never apologized and never explained. read more

I love this place! Right now things are crazy. I'm essential and feel like I'm working non-stop. I was getting to the bottom of my pups bag of food and called up woofers. Not only was I able to do everything over the phone they delivered it to my house and left it where I asked. The icing on the cake though was the rope toy with thank you written on it! So, we recently brought our dog here for the full treatment. Wash, blowdry, teeth brushing, nail trimming, etc. and she had a great experience! The staff was kind and friendly to her and they did a really nice job! Here is where they went wrong though, blatant disregard for the health and safety of their staff and customers. Nobody on the staff was wearing a mask and they had a sign on the door stating they would not support or enforce the mask policy from the governor. This is in really poor taste and while they did a nice job with my dog, I can't go back there because they obviously don't care about the health and wellness of themselves or others. Her nails were barely clipped and the lady said she wouldn't tolerate them being filed. As if she even had time to try. (Never had a problem with this before, she a puppy and this was her 3rd trim) Then my 2nd dog come out with half her nails clipped and says they weren't able to get them all. Again no issues in 7 years. Inexperienced or lazy I'm not sure which but won't be taking my dogs back. $28 for 13/20 nails clipped and none filed between the 2 of them. Right from the beginning they were super friendly and welcoming! Very affordable for grooming and their pet food is way cheaper than most stores. I've been taking my dogs to Woofers since 2013 and love the service here! The staff love their business and the animals they serve! Price has gone up slightly over the years but I'd rather have someone who genuinely cares about my pups AND does a good job over price. They also sell a variety of dog food, toys, collars and leashes, and SEAHAWKS attire! Woofer's is a great place if you also live close by but need an early AM appt. I can't rave about this place enough. The family that runs Woofers is amazing, and super friendly. I come here often to have my frenchie's nails trimmed...it must be amazing because every time I pull in my dog goes nuts and can't wait to go inside. They carry honest kitchen raw dog food which is amazing, as well as walk-e-woo collars and leashes, which I love. I'm always on the lookout for different collars (a girl's gotta have different collars, accessorize!) and the gals from woofers made sure to call me when they restocked so I could come pick one out :) Love it! read more

Zero stars if I could. Waste of time and money. I brought my two dogs here for a flea bath, treatment and NAIL TRIM. When the two ONLY girls there asked me if the dogs were getting a hair cut that day as well, I first asked what the price was, she said 60$ each. I said NO it is okay, I just want to treat the fleas and trim the nails for right now, I'll bring them back later. She replied, okay. I had my significant other pick up the dogs and he than shows me the receipt. They did the nail trim, flea bath and treatment for both dogs but also added grooming for 40$ each when I advise both girls that I did not what anything grooming/cut at all. When I called them a guy answered and I had to repeat myself a million times, but he finally got it. he said "sorry, but the service has already been done and he'll make a note to make sure they do exactly what I say next time." I said yeah right. 80$ for something I didn't even ask to be done and that's all we get? We're not doing service with them again. & To add, one of my dogs already had a hair cut so WTF did they cut and charge 40$ on? One thing you're not understanding is that I did NOT ask for my dogs to be GROOMED. I SIMPLY ASKED FOR A FLEA BATH, FLEA TREATMENT AND NAILS TRIMMED. THAT WAS ALL. Would be five stars... Angelica, who is recently the groomer there, is why I wont go back. I didnt like the previous job that a place did on my mini poodle, because he came back with a cut on his testicles. I then took him to woofers months later because his very first cut was there and it was perfect. The last time I took him in to woofers he again had a gash on his testicles again, and the receptionist told me that he was very hard to deal with and he tried to bite the groomer. I tipped an extra ten dollars because he usually isn't very bad and he never tries to bite anyone. Anyways, come to find out she was the same person that cut him that last time at a DIFFERENT place. I was told that he was not an aggressive dog at all, and that she was very rough with my dog and other dogs. The manager had to take over and finish him the first time he was cut because she was man handling him. I also asked for an all around cut, and she left the end of the tail fluffy.. just the end. And the nails were not trimmed properly. I understand my dog can be high strung, but I havent had an issue at woofers or anywhere else until the last two times he was groomed with the same lady. I will be happy to return to woofers when she has left. It's a great place with cool stuff and nice staff. read more
