These guys are amazing!!!! This is a family owned shop and they are incredibly kind!!! My husband and I are from LA and went apple picking with our golden doodle. Unfortunately, we didn't realize how many spurs got caught in our pups hair. It got so bad that she was limping! We called Pet Scene for an emergency groom to help to get all the spikes out of our poor dog's hair. It was close to closing and most of their employees had left for the day, but they were so KIND to take us. They got all of our golden doodle's spurs out and she was super happy. This shop is incredible and they are such lovely family that truly cares!! Thank you guys so much!! We wish we had you groomers like this in LA! read more

If I could give zero stars I would ... Gave them the benefit of the doubt, after last time it took 4 hours for a bath and nail trim. Now after dropping my dog off at 9:30am, it's now 1:30pm and they state he will not be ready for another hour, unacceptable!!!! I have no problem with people making money, but not at the expense of my dog being locked in a cage for 3 hours. This place did a phenomenal job bathing my Shepherd husky rescue mix. He looked amazing and they got all his undercoat out too! The staff was friendly and, most importantly to me, seemed to genuinely care for the dogs. The biggest stand out to me was that the next day we walked by on our daily route and my dog went right to the door like he wanted to get in. The last groomer we tried he wouldn't go near the building let alone to the door! I also loved that they didn't give me a set time to pick him up. My dog has epilepsy and they listened to all my advice about drying him (he's deathly afraid of the power dryer) and they said whatever happens they will take their time if he's scared basically. That meant a lot to me and again showed they truly cared. Highly recommend and definitely will return! read more

We just moved to Redlands and needed to get our corgi groomed and this was the only place that had openings. I loved the way the groomer came out and asked me exactly what I wanted done to my baby. The only thing was the time I had to wait but it was explained to me and about average. It was a 2 1/2 hour wait to 3 and usually not even something I would mention but I had nothing to do in Yucaipa. The entire service was excellent from start to end. I would definitely recommend to anyone who lives in Yucaipa. I will definitely be bringing my baby back. They also gave her a little report card at the end which is so cute. Update: the owner sent me a message of apology and offered to provide the next service free of charge. I appreciate that she contacted me promptly to address my complaints. I will add back a star for good customer service. Update 5/16/2021: Unfortunately, I have to update my review and subtract 2 stars. The quality of service has gone down and fluctuates from appt to appt, despite showing a picture of what I wanted for my dog. What makes this even more unacceptable is the prices have increased. The straw that broke the camel's back was paying $30 for a BATH for my other dog and her face is still dirty. I didn't get to really inspect her until I got home because of the chaos of 2 excited dogs and trying to pay the bill and talk to the clerk. I'm really disappointed that the person who gave my dog her bath wouldn't have thought to wash her snout to remove the saliva stains. The stains are very obvious. It's a bit of a drive to get to pet scene, but I continued to be a customer this long because of the good first impressions I got years ago. But based on these recent experiences, I think I will search for a new grooming service closer to home. read more

Been bringing our two small dogs here for years (7) and have always loved it! However the last couple of visits we have noticed a big decline in service. Nails weren't trimmed and hair cut was uneven with patches of long hair. All this after they had my dogs for over four hours. He's not been this soft, since he was a puppy! I'm serious. We're an outdoors adventure family which means our dog is playing in the fields, hiking, camping, and swimming. He gets dirty! And then I'll brush out his coat and he's good to go. He's 18mo old and had been groomed once before and I've washed him 5x or so with hose and shampoo. But he's never been this clean, and SOFT! He was a rescue at 10weeks old from the street. So he's literally never been this clean. Thanks to Pet Scene Grooming and shop, he was dropped off at 9:30AM and done by Noon, they had next day availability, and when I picked him up he was calm as ever. Which means he was not placed with other dogs, and he was not stressed out. I was able to pay for the grooming, tip, and pick up a few chew items same time. I have been going here for years and the staff is always so friendly and does such a good job, however, today they really hit it out of the park. My German Shepherd sheds terribly even with regular brushing and today he got the de-shed treatment, the before and after speaks for its self. Very disappointed in the service we received at Pet Scene! We took our four dogs for grooming spending nearly $300 for bathing and grooming only to have one of them returned with an injured eye. We noticed it immediately and brought it to the staff's attention. They replied with-maybe she got soap in her eye. It is clear in the photo she was injured resulting in her inner eyelid being severely bruised and full of blood. We asked to speak with the owner and were told she was unavailable but would call. No call came. Please do not entrust your pets to this groomer. After reading the owner's response, it is clear that they will not be taking responsibility for our puppy's injury. The "growth" she identified was not there before dropping off the dogs, and would not be healing if that was the case. Several days later, the redness is finally resolving, which a growth would not do. Also, please do not assume my name. This is not Julie. This is Dr. G. Craft. read more

I took my Lab Charlie here for the first time. He gets really dry skin and sometimes gets dandruff , so I wanted a spot that would be able to make his coat look really nice or at least help lessen the flake off. I Hadn't yet found a place that really left me impressed until I took him here . I was very pleased! You could tell that one of the ladies that worked on my dog really enjoyed working with him as well. It's always nice to see the people working on the animals having enthusiastic energy. Makes you feel like they really care about your pets . My pup looked like a whole new dog. His coat so shiny and clean. He smelled nice and his ears and everything were actually super clean! I paid a little more than past places I've taken him , but I actually feel like it was worth my money this time . I also love that they do stuff to help with them being intimidated by the dryers. At other places they've had to give him back kind of damp because he was afraid to be dried . I wish other places would have thought to be more accommodating to the dogs and put little cotton and cap over my dogs ears like they told me they would do for my pup today when I expressed my concern at drop off . That's a huge plus as well! Overall simply great service ! The Only thing I might mention at drop off next time is maybe being a little more careful with his nail trimming since one was bleeding when we got home . It seemed like they might have just cut a little too far, but like I said other than that I will definitely be coming back. NEVER had anyone bring out his coat so beautifully so I felt it was worth post a review since I never have read more

My husband took our 15 year old Billy to Pet Scene for the first time today. The bottom line? Pet Scene gets an A+. They did a wonderful job! My pup Charlie was not a fan of her first grooming experience. The staff was so nice and patient with her. Eventually they just has to pick her up because she wouldn't go in the room. I didn't get all the details I wanted before because of the commotion of getting our dog settled but felt comfortable leaving her. They called 20 minutes before she was ready and she seemed happy as could be when I picked her up. We bathe at home weekly but we will definitely be back when it's time for professional help and clean up! read more

This is probably the last time we take our dogs here. They used to be one of the best around, but something changed. Our dogs had an apointment at 1130 and weren't finished until almost 430! That is a long time to be sitting in a cage...and on top of that, they cut the inside of one of our dogs legs and the haircut they gave him was one of the worst he's gotten. I've left a positive review about this place a couple years ago. We've been taking our 3 dogs here for probably close to 3 yrs. They always come back super clean, and happy. After yesterday, we will NEVER EVER return. It's never crossed my mind my fur baby could get hurt getting groomed. My St. Bernard came home, and immediately noticed he was walking slower than normal with a slight limp. Then he laid down. When it came time for him wanting to get up, it took him FOREVER to use his hind legs to stand up. I've never seen him struggle to get up like that (this happened several times). Poor dog wanted to lay down and not move the entire night. My wife then called the groomer to find out what the heck happened to our baby, long story a little bit shorter, they use some leg restraints to force my huge dog to stand for over 3 hrs. How DARE you put my dog through that without a break or making sure he's ok. We were not aware of the change of ownership. We miss Bonnie. Under her care, I believe this would've never happened. We are sad to lose our groomer, and furious our pet had to deal with that. Not to mention our other dogs were shaved completely even thought were asked not to be bald. Great for winter right? I can get over shaved dogs, fur grows back, but most importantly, if you don't know how to groom a large dog correctly, DON'T! We would've been better off saving our almost $200 this round for the 3 of them and do it ourselves! *as a reply to your comment* "Very matted" is a bit of an exaggeration. We take them to get groomed, that's your job. Like I said before fur grows back. But should communicate better when my wife specifically asked for one to not look like a poodle. May as well shaved her head and ears to match. As for Samson, how is it "humane" to hold a dog like that for god knows how long...since "he took 4 hrs to work on". I'm huge on customer service, and you didn't even bother to call and see how he was doing today. He's STILL having trouble getting up. And the fact my wife had to ask if something was put around him, instead of it not being discussed is absolutely insane. This place will NEVER be recommended by us again. read more

I don't even know why I need to review this place; the previous reviews pretty much say it all! Pros: GREAT customer service, kind employees Excellent pricing on bathing/grooming services Ability to wash your dog yourself in their tubs Nice selection of pet foods and products! I found a stray dog and after a week or so of searching for his owner, I brought him to Pet Scene for a bath. They do get crowded, so I was happy to hear they had a free slot in their appointment schedule and I wouldn't have a wait. I didn't know the dog's breed (made some guesses) or what would be best for him, so I was very happy the owner, Bonnie, helped me out. After filling out some paperwork I decided to wash the dog myself. They lead you behind the register sorta to their grooming area where I was shown their facilities and tools. One of the groomers (I can't remember her name, ack) was REALLY sweet and explained all the shampoos and dials and such for the entire bath; they even took a look at the dog's nails, teeth, ears, and anal glands to see how healthy he was. They made some great suggestions about how to keep him healthy, which I really appreciated. The bath went okay; found out the dog is kinda scared of water, but with some gentle words and petting, he was fine. I love that the dryers blow WARM air! Gently dried the pooch and then took a look around the store. They have some pet food brands that have SUPERIOR quality to any kibble you can buy at a chain pet store. I got some samples, as well as a Greenie for him to chew on for being a good boy. I love that they treated this pooch like he was my kid and not a stray. I was so impressed, after no one ever claimed the dog and I decided to keep him, I brought him back. This time I booked an appointment to have him washed by the Pet Scene groomers, and it went well. Just dropped the little guy off, walked around for a half hour, came back and picked him up! He was happy and not scared at all when I came back for him, and he smelled great. They keep your information in their computer, so they remember your name and the dog's name too, and after a certain number of baths I think you get a free one! Don't forget to check in here on Yelp to get a discount off of a DIY or groomer bath too. I also love that this place has clinics for shots, training, and tooth cleaning. They also organize fun events and benefits; they collect food/products for homeless people with pets which I LOVE. Great prices, awesome staff, and tasty dog food. My mother, (who has worked at a Veterinarian office for 30 years and opinions on such subject I trust more than anyone) told me about this new self-service dog wash place that opened up in Yucaipa. I decided to check it out since my senior dog was developing a skin condition that require more regular washings than I could give at home (kneeling over the tub) or afford to pay for at full service places. The second I walked in I knew I was in good hands as I recognized the owner, Bonnie, as a lady who used to work at the San Bernardino Humane Society. Here is a woman who cares about pets and will make sure you and your pet has a great experience. Tasha hates this place because she hates baths, but I love it. I get to bathe her myself for a third of the price of a salon and the best part is THEY CLEAN UP THE MESS!!!! Tasha's favorite part is at the end when I let her pick out her own giant pig ear out of the basket. They have the best gourmet treats in the boutique area as well as some cute accessories and dog beds, etc. Make sure to "Like" Pet Scene on facebook so you can keep up to date on all the great events she has for you and your pet. I did the self service dog wash to day and boy was it worth it. The ladies helped me out and showed me what to do. For a little extra they trimmed her face and expressed her anal glands. I'm really upset. I specifically talked to 2-3 girls letting them know my concerns about easing my puppy into his first grooming session. The groomer came out and I was adamant and very specific about My pups slight trim to get the wispy out of his eyes and a nail trim. The groomer had a hard time listening to me as I could tell she thought I was telling her how to do her job. I simply did not want my baby's eyelashes chopped as they are super long!!! I didn't even notice $20 charge (bcus of being upset) for this 10 min trim until later, so I called and was told $10.00 is a normal nail clip fee. A month before I was told over the phone yes, nail trim $5.00. I was so upset about my pups eyes and half missing eyelash and apologized but kept saying how does this happen. ( I honestly think the groomer did it on purpose as it was an obvious chop right in the between the eyes) I spoke to the owner and she told me they never charge $5.00 for a nail trim. I explained to her that I was told this over the phone one month ago. She told me it wasn't true in fact everything I told her she had an EXCUSE for every single thing I said ( very poor customer service) ( I also recommended the book by Dale Carniege to her ) during this whole conversation she may as well told me I was lying. First of all why would I lie! So lame! ( again COMMUNICATION!!) She acted like she was trying to understand but insisted that her staff was completely truthful and they never told me $5.00 nail trim or $5.00 eye trim. The biggest issue I see is lack of good customer service & really knowing communication skills. I will say 2 of the girls I talk to were great with customer service skills but the owner and groomer are lacking BIG time! Also, when I mentioned half of my puppy's eyelash was cut off and that I should be reimbursed she laughed when I even mention $. She did not offer to make it right or make me happy but, after laughing said I will leave you five dollars at the desk if I wanted to come pick it up and made a comment like we don't need your business. I feel bad for my puppy eyelash but worse for this person, the owner who really could care less and was defensive on every turn! HONESTLY I WOULD PAY DOUBLE FOR MY PUP TO HAVE DONE WHAT I ASK FOR. To me it's always about the principle. I have never experienced this treatment out of all the 20 years living in this city. One last thing while talking I dropped my phone and when I went to say sorry my puppy jumped on me..the owner was saying to her staff, this lady is crazy! That is mean and shows you what her and her employees are like, especially if they gossip like her. My boyfriend and I took my dog Ranger in to Pet Scene for a DIY bath back in November. The owner, Bonnie, was very welcoming, which is always nice as a pitbull owner. I usually bathe Ranger at home outside, but with the cold weather, Pet Scene was the place to go. Bonnie gave us a quick orientation and made sure we were comfortable using all the equipment. She gave us tips on the most effective grooming methods for short haired dogs. We were able to get Ranger all clean, soft, and smelling nice with doggie cologne. I'm so glad to have a resource like Pet Scene so I didn't have to wash my baby in the cold. Today I brought in a rescue dog that I am fostering. Poor Gabby was so shy and timid, but Bonnie and her staff were very supportive and didn't rush us at all. They were able to assist me with choosing the right shampoo for Gabby as she had some small wounds I didn't want to irritate. Also, Pet Scene offers a frequent bather program: for every 5 DIY washes or 5 salon washes, you get one free. The rest of the store was filled with a wide assortment of treats, toys, equipment, and clothing. We will be returning customers. read more

Almost 4 years since my last (first) review and I can still say, without a doubt, that Bonnie and staff are just as wonderful as they were the first time Bosco and I headed in. We're still loyal customers, we still drive all the way out from Fontana to get him a bath here, and Bosco still complains every time he has to climb into the tub. The business itself has really blown up... every time we go in, they're busy. I love seeing small businesses thrive.. and I couldn't be happier that Pet Scene is doing so well :) Bonnie and her staff are always accommodating! I call, give them a day and time.. and they have never let me down with scheduling. Even around major holidays, when I call last minute... they always manage to get us in. Pet Scene is still super affordable, and Bonnie is still as nice as can be. We absolutely love coming here - me, because the staff is great and I'm still all about anyone else but me giving my dog a bath...plus everyone in my house is always happier when the dog doesn't smell.. and Bosco, cuz Bonnie and staff always have extra belly rubs and treats for him :) It's a win, for all parties involved :D read more
