He was amazing with our senior kitty, Gamora ("Gam"). From the beginning, he set clear expectations, giving me an estimated grooming time of a couple of hours--but ended up finishing even faster than expected. Since it was Gam's first time with him, Jared took the time to get acquainted with her and even allowed me to stay for the first 10 minutes or so. That immediately showed me how much he cares about making both the pet and the owner feel comfortable. I had warned him ahead of time that trimming her nails had always been a challenge for me. His response? "No problem." And sure enough--within what felt like under a minute--he had all her nails clipped with zero stress and zero issues. Honestly, the man is a wizard... a true cat whisperer. The entire time, he was calm, gentle, and sweet with her. Gam never looked stressed or uncomfortable, which says everything--especially for a senior cat in a new environment. After a few minutes, he gave me the okay to step out and assured me he'd call if anything came up. Just over an hour later, I got the call that she was ready. When I arrived, she was relaxed in her carrier and looking as cute as ever. Jared let me know she was well-behaved the whole time and that he genuinely enjoyed working with her. You can tell he truly knows what he's doing and cares about the animals he works with. I was able to add information on his breed and temperament. The form does request vet and rabies vaccination information. I did forget to go back to add it, thankfully they accepted a picture of my pups record. At the end of the appt I received a link to pups report card, available in the online account. This report card took the service to the next level. I know how my pup did and what I need to do to support the team during our next visit! Service was great. The employees were very knowledgeable about my pups breed and took care to tailor their service. Appt was for 11, pup was ready for pickup by 12! I was very pleased to see multiple employees on shift. Two were taking care of pups and one cleaning/at the desk. After being present and viewing how busy it can be, I am confident that a fully staffed shift it necessary. Shame on the man that lost his mind for a cancelled appt. I'd rather a cancelled appt, than to have my pup stressed or waiting for hours. Location had convenient parking and with two entrances. The interior was pristine and smelled great. I especially appreciated the fact that there are separate drying rooms. Our last groomer had one drying table and it always stressed my pup out. Price is on the higher end but totally worth it. We've always been treated well. I have a breed of dog that is difficult to groom, and Heather has always done an outstanding job. The reason I'm posting this is because some of the 1 star reviews (especially recently) are based on inadequate information and a rush to judgment without understanding or caring about mitigating circumstances. I want to fill in some information to address that. Animal grooming is a tough job, hard on the body: hands, arms, back, and feet wear down with repetitive injury, and the groomer may be in physical pain while working. The pain comes and goes, but the damage, especially to hands, arms, and back, is permanent. So being kind and tolerant might work more effectively for the customer rather than playing princess. I am only a customer, not a friend of the owner, but I have witnessed her health challenges while still keeping the shop as available as possible. It is a balancing act, and I admire her persistence in keeping the shop going. Be kind, or at least be curious and open to reason. My current dog loves Pet Spa; it's her happy place.

I said I wanted him "cleaned up" and wanted his hair shorter but not quite shaved. I guess this wasn't enough for her because she insisted that I tell her exactly what I wanted and saying cleaned up means "nothing to her". I showed her a picture of the last time he was groomed and she said "that tells me nothing". Every groomer I've used in the past helps me figure out the best cut, but she was not interested in helping me out at all. Sorry I'm not in the industry and don't know exactly what to ask for. I just felt like such a bother to her. He did end up looking great and it only took them about an hour but I am just too disappointed with how I was treated to go back.

During the trim my dog was visibly stressed so I asked them to stop for now. The groomer said I was overreacting and proceeded to lecture me. Then she tossed my 15 year old dog on the ground and dragged him to the gate by his collar, with him tripping along the way. So I grabbed the leash from her had as fast as I could, paid for the unfinished service and left without saying anything. If this is how they treat animals when you're standing there, I can only imagine what they do when no ones looking. Stay far away if you care about the safety of your pet.

When Emma goes on vacation she plans way well in advance so I can make arrangements. Emma has gone the extra mile with things like having booties on hot days and winter booties on cold days and rain coats for rainy days. She always checks the food/water dishes. She always checks in after a walk and sends photos of their adventures. I prefer 80/20 20%sniff 80%exercise. Emma makes sure Mia gets her healthy fit care with lots of love, pets and positive attention. Emma helped me care for Mia after a surgery. She is SUPERIOR.
