I walked in on Friday, May 8, 2015 for some Flea and Tick shampoo for my dogs. I was pleased to see a brand of shampoo (TropicClean) that I have used for years; a very high quality shampoo. I bought the Flea and Tick, went home and opened it to give my dogs their bath. I was extremely disappointed to find the contents had been watered down so severely that it was closer to water than a rich, thick shampoo. I have used this product for six years and never experienced this from any other retailer. I called the manufacturer to make sure there had not been a change in their shampoo; specifically the flea and tick. They assured me they had not and that the shampoo is produced as rich and thick as ever!
I went back today (my drive is 52 miles round trip) to protest and get a refund. I told the owner I would take either a refund or a bottle that had not been tampered with. He went over to the display and shook the only other bottle of flea and tick and it was as thin as the one I bought so I insisted on the refund.
While the owner (Rocky Walson) went back to the counter I shook the other bottles of various "flavors" and they all seemed to be thinner than the customary shampoo from this company.
To Mr. Walson's credit he did not argue with me and did provide the refund. Mr. Walson offered his opinion as to what might have happened to thin out the shampoo: he said, "it may have frozen in a warehouse". My motives for this poor report are only to make the public aware of my experience not to do harm to anyone. It is only fair that people enter into business relationship when they know all the facts. read more
