I changed from Invisible Fence to PET STOP. Let me tell you why: I own an extraordinarily strong willed Goldendoodle. He just turned 1 and has started pushing the limits of our invisible fence. He has learned that if he gets running fast enough, he can break through the zone and he is then free to run around wherever he wants. This year our landscaper cut the line and I called invisible fence to come out and fix the break. I paid for the annual service plan, so the repair is free for me. They informed me that the earliest time that they could be out to my house was in 60 days. Think about this for a minute...a strong willed, 70-pound dog, with no shock collar whatsoever for 60 days?! In the meantime, he was in the neighbor's garage eating their trash, running across the street and getting lost in the woods. I called Todd at Pet Stop and he answered the phone himself. I told him of my trouble, and he said he would be out the next day at 1:00pm. WOW. What a difference. Then he showed me his product. It is superior to the invisible fence system in many ways, and it is a lot easier on the pocketbook. Pet Stop has a "wall" that keeps shocking the dog after he tries to break the zone. The first time he tried to get out - ZAP - he spun around like he was on fire. He has never left the yard again. Oh, did I mention that the collar is rechargeable?! No more expensive battery subscriptions! More environmentally friendly. In addition, there is an app that you download which allows you to change the intensity of the shock on the fly. I cannot think of one reason why you should not buy this unit. I had them rip out the invisible fence and install their equipment, which runs on the same wire that is already buried (so that saves money). Much more effective. My dog is now safely in my yard and life is good.
