The first time the groomer pulled out an example of fur length. I found an extremely confusing since I had a golden retriever, and they have several coats of fur. They simply can't get that short. They still cut the chest and belly very very, very short, basically shaved his belly. We went back the second time two weeks ago same groomer same example of hair length than the beginning. He asked me are you just here for a trim and bath? I said yes the trim last time was fine except last time you cut his belly too short and I need you to keep it longer. He came back and told me he would leave it long so that when we picked up the dog, we could determine if it needed to be any shorter on his chest and belly. Amazingly, he shaved my entire golden retriever all the way down. There are bald spots under his legs all over his belly chunks taken out even if I asked for a complete shave. This was the most horrendous thing I've ever seen.. I filed a complaint several weeks ago and was told I would get a follow up in a day or two I'm still waiting. I followed up with them again today and I'm really to the point that they're not gonna do anything. They asked us to follow up with the store so we did. The groomer himself answered the phone while my wife asked for the manager. He disappeared and left her on hold for about 10 minutes before she hung up and called the manager back a half hour later the manager still had no idea that my wife had called as the person that took the call never got his attention according to the manager, but the manager responded back with knowledge of the grooming, which led us to believe that he didn't fact already know. The person trains groomers I believe her name was Shannon took over and said absolutely the groomer screwed up. He should never take out hair samples for length for a golden retriever and every groomer is thoroughly trained and understanding that golden retrievers don't get shaved down and that they should've questioned if that's what he thought. Yet here we are it was so bad that we asked them to watch the video because we were concerned about how the entire cut went since there was huge chunks taken out under his arms pits, etc. they told us everything was fine. He was treated well yet he came home like he had been through a war. The head groomer told us that the groomer Curtis had problems with bad cuts before and they would add this to the list and document it. That's mind blowing to me because she claims he is thoroughly and totally trained which I find very hard to believe. Shannon, the head groomer is clearly protecting the store. Corporate keeps telling us to contact the store yet the resolution is nothing. After contacting the store they went from. This is absolutely unacceptable. He did the wrong thing he's done it before two and it's just a bad cut. We'll talk to him while I have Vet bills in the possibility of some serious problems with the hair growth back for a golden retriever. It'll take six months to a year before it all comes back with vet bills and I was offered 10,000 points on the app

    Tractor Supply - Receipt

LINDA treated both me and my fiancée like pieces of garbage!…read more We came in and PURCHASED 2 DOG WASHES!! Then proceeded to wash our 2 dogs--one of which is an Australian Shepherd, and if you know the breed, you know they have a lot of hair. We finished up about an hour after we PAID, walked out of the store, and let the dogs use the bathroom before heading home. (We were on vacation and had a 4-hour drive ahead.) Out of nowhere, LINDA came outside and yelled across the lot, "Would you like to pay for those dog washes!!" We explained that we HAD paid and that I had the receipt. I, a 27-year-old woman, walked over, calmly showed the receipt, and explained everything. LINDA then SNATCHED the receipt out of my hand and REFUSED to give MY RECEIPT BACK. She walked toward the store with it, and my fiancée took it from her and told her to never do that again. LINDA responded by calling him a "faggot"--a bystander saw and heard the entire thing. Thankfully, KEVIN, the store manager, stepped in and handled the situation like a true professional. KEVIN offered a full refund for both washes, which we declined because all we really wanted was a direct and sincere apology from LINDA. Instead, LINDA gave us a sarcastic apology--with a big smile on her face--while holding and squeezing both our hands, making it feel more belittling than sincere. I'm only writing this because the situation was completely blown out of proportion, and we left feeling disrespected and deeply disappointed. Thank you again, KEVIN, for doing what you could--but management may want to seriously reconsider who represents your business.

I drive an hour away and stand at the customer service desk for 15 minutes watching one poor cashier with a line that ran the length of the store. Finally a man comes to the desk and confirms a third time they are in stock and will go pull them while I pay. After I pay I'm informed they do not have them in stock and the computer wasn't updated. So I go back to get my refund. The manager on duty comes to approve the refund and I inform him I will be leaving a review and he very flippantly says "sorry sir, we can't hold product" and walks away. Um. That's not the issue. I was told three times they were in stock. No rain check? No offer to order them or call me when they are back in stock? He obviously doesn't care about customer service and he sure doesn't care about my business. Never will I go to this store again and I advise you to beware. They were also out of the chicken feed I use as well as the j bolts to hang the gates. Sad excuse for a store.

There were NO cars in the parking lot in the middle of a weekday. Very strange and should have been my first clue something is off for an office with two vets available and no visible patients. Another clue should have been the "payment responsibility" disclosure they required me to sign before they would even look at my pet. In more than 60 years of pet ownership, I have never had to sign something like that before treatment. I brought my cat in because she had not eaten or had a bowel movement in seven days. After an exam and X-rays, I was told everything was fine and that she was probably pooping somewhere in the house. EXCUSE ME??? As if I hadn't already thought of that and looked everywhere myself. This is a cat who has NEVER done that in the 13 years I've had her. So, I left with no answers, no explanation for why my cat hadn't eaten in a week, no explanation for why she hadn't pooped in a week, and a $250 charge on my credit card. Apparently, at Island Animal Hospital, "everything is fine" is considered a diagnosis. And don't even get me started on the condition of the office. With the fees they charge, one would think they could afford to update the place. It looks like very little has changed since Dr. Moore was there nearly 30 years ago. When your pet hasn't eaten or had a bowel movement for seven days, you expect answers. Instead, I got a guess, a credit card charge, and was sent on my way. No wonder they are still taking new patients when every other vet in town is not. Do yourself a favor and look for another vet.
