I am beyond disappointed with the way my daughter and I were treated during our visit. We came into the store because I was seriously considering purchasing a pet next Wednesday. Instead of feeling welcomed, I left feeling humiliated and judged. I went directly to the reptile section and asked a few questions. While I was there, I noticed an employee go into the restroom. I have pelvic cancer and bladder issues, so I was waiting for the restroom to become available. While I waited, I walked down a nearby aisle to browse. Suddenly, two employees approached me from opposite ends of the aisle and began questioning me as if I had done something wrong. I had done absolutely nothing to deserve being treated like a suspect. What made this even worse was how obvious it felt that I was being judged by my appearance. Just because I have tattoos does not make me a criminal or a bad person. It's 2026--people need to stop making assumptions based on how someone looks. Disabilities are not always visible, and neither is someone's character. The way your employees and managers handled this situation was disrespectful, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary. You didn't just hurt my feelings--you hurt my daughter's as well. She watched her parent be treated with suspicion instead of kindness. You lost what would have been a paying customer. I was planning to buy a pet from your store next week, but after being made to feel so unwelcome, you will never receive another dollar from me. I hope management takes a serious look at how customers are treated because no one should have to leave a pet store feeling ashamed for simply existing. read more

Today, my Pekingese chose a new ball from the toy aisle and proceeded to push/kick it all over the store. (great fun on a rainy day with no other dogs in the store) The staff was all playing with him and helping him retrieve his new ball when it got stuck. I only wish I would have thought to take a video! In addition, this store has been extremely generous over the years as we did fundraising for the creation (and now for the maintenance) of Lancaster Unleashed/Como Lake Bark Park. 2 paws up! read more

Staff is great. We spend a few hundred dollars every month. Disappointed however in their dog wash. In the summer the dial for soap stopped working and it still isn't fixed. The water pressure is so low you can't really wash your dog with it. They have a cold water hose but the spray gun that you can buy anywhere for a few dollars has been broken for weeks. Not really sure why they are selling tickets to wash your dog but no longer have an operable dog wash. We may decide to go elsewhere if this continues. They may have just lost a great customer. read more

Great pet place to have in the neighborhood. They have a place where you can self wash your dog, and they have good employees who are happy to help, even if your Dog likes to mark her territory (as mine does). They never have insects such as mealworms. Everytime I call they say they get their shipments on Thursday or Friday and I go Friday, there is no mealworms. Clearly this is a problem and who wants to drive 20 mins to another location that doesn't have any either. read more

I love this store , but the store manager is rude I don't like her at all I come to this store mostly every week sometimes twice a week and spend hundreds at one time !!! Every time I come to this store in Depew, NY, it never disappoints. The associates that work there are very outgoing and always ask to help me find something. I've also used the dog wash and it was very clean and well stocked. Associates are friendly and knowledgeable, especially when I inquire about dog/cat food, which I have 2 of each! My dogs love to visit the store as well - they are happy and I always spend more when they come! The store is very clean and well maintained. We were excited to try the dog wash at this location since it's newer and closer to home. What a huge disappointment. There's only one station on the floor, which makes washing a small dog difficult at best. To make matters worse and borderline absurd, the tub drains directly on to the tile floor!!! Not into the floor drain, right on to the floor. The floor is sloped a bit, but it was still a complete disaster. Bad towels that don't hold much water, unlike other locations that have nice absorbent chamois, but decent shampoo. (The only reason for 2 stars) My boots were soaked. My coat had fallen on the floor due to no hook so that was soaked. Just a mess. We had to wring out the dog's paws when we got outside. Ridiculous. read more

A couple times they were out of what I needed the associates were more then happy to go to another store and get it for me. what more could you want. Every store runs out of merchandise once in awhile. I am a long-time Pet Supplies Plus customer. When this location on Transit Road in Depew, NY, opened a few months ago, I was glad because it is closer to my home. However, I have visited 4 times since it opened, and every time, they were out of stock on sale items -- on the first day of the sale! The staff doesn't seem to really care about their lack of product -- "oh, we might get some in on Tuesday or Wednesday" (it was Sunday). This last time I simply drove a couple of miles to the Seneca Street, West Seneca, location, which is always stocked and has fantastic customer service.
