Getting an appointment here was very easy, and as long as you have your dog's paperwork she is very accommodating. Compared to some experiences I have had washing my dog at bigger companies like Unleashed, this was an easier process to deal with overall. Also, since it is a smaller business and less dogs are generally around. It makes it easier to self wash your dog since there are less distractions. In summary, it is a great local small business with an energetic but understanding owner, and pretty reasonably priced with the ability to self wash your dog.

He was an older dog so they didn't blow dry him because it was to traumatic for him to have that done to him. So they would put him in a spacious cage that warm air would flow through to dry him. It would take a little more time, but he always came out looking amazing. Kelly the owner is wonderful. She is very knowledgeable about dogs breeds and knows what type of cut they should have. I now take my Yorkie Max there. Yorkies normally have sensitive skin, and when I've taken him to places like Petsmart he gotten a bad rash, more than likely because their cages are FILTHY! But not pet wash, they are very sanitary! Max always looks amazing when he come from there... he's already a cutie pie, but he look even cuter after leaving Pet Wash!

Their entire team is incredibly friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Our baby Nala absolutely loves going there, she gets so excited at drop-off, which says everything. It gives us so much comfort knowing she's not just being cared for, but genuinely loved while she's there. The grooming services are amazing. Nala always comes back looking beautiful and happy. When it comes to boarding, we have complete peace of mind. We trust them 100% to take the best possible care of our baby, and that kind of trust is priceless. It's clear that every dog there is treated like family. We feel so lucky to have Central Park Landover right in our neighborhood. We couldn't recommend them more!

I am not writing this review to tell you not to bring your pet to Central Bark Landover. I am…read morewriting it because I wish someone had warned me to ask the right questions and go in with your eyes open because what happened to my dog Sage could happen to yours. On June 25th, I dropped Sage off at approximately 7:30 AM for a supervised daycare session. At 11:30 AM I received a call that there had been an "incident." I left work immediately to find my dog with a deep, open gash beneath his eye, bleeding and in pain. Another dog in his play group had bitten him. I rushed Sage to an emergency veterinary clinic where the wound required surgical stitches to close. He will carry a permanent scar under his eye for the rest of his life. I paid upfront before they would even begin treatment. When I reached out to the owner, Mickey, seeking reimbursement and answers, I was told the incident was an inherent risk of group play and that the waiver I signed at enrollment limited their responsibility. I have not received reimbursement, and the matter is still unresolved. Also, I was told in person there wasn't any video evidence but the owner via email said that she reviewed the video evidence and can not share it with me. If you choose to bring your pet here, I urge you to: ask specifically how dogs are evaluated and grouped by temperament, ask what the supervision ratio is in the play area at all times, ask what happens if your dog is injured and who bears the financial responsibility, and read every word of the waiver before you sign it. Also, ask for a tour of the facility and how do you check on your dog when you are not around. I loved the idea of this place and I wanted it to work. But after what Sage went through and how it was handled, I feel a responsibility to share this so other pet owners can make a fully informed decision.

When booking online, the system prompts you to enter your card information immediately after selecting an appointment. Typically, this step indicates that a deposit will be processed, but that wasn't clearly communicated at the time of booking. When a team member later called to confirm my appointment, I mentioned that I had already entered my card information during the booking process. There was no follow-up from the team to clarify whether the deposit had been received, and since no additional communication was sent, I reasonably assumed everything was confirmed. However, I received a text message at 5:40 p.m. on 10/10/25 -- about 20 minutes before closing -- stating that my appointment scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on 10/11/25 had been canceled. I immediately called and texted but didn't receive a response until the next morning when the business reopened, at which point the appointment was already canceled. Given that appointments here are often booked weeks, if not months, in advance, it's extremely difficult to pivot or make alternate arrangements on such short notice. The lack of follow-up and the last-minute cancellation were disappointing, especially considering the time and planning it takes to secure a spot. I'm sharing this feedback constructively, as I understand things happen, but clearer communication and more proactive customer service would go a long way toward improving the overall experience.

We entered the store simply to shop for supplies for our guinea pigs, but from the moment we walked in, one of the cashiers continuously stared at us in an aggressive and hostile manner instead of greeting us or focusing on her job. Even while assisting another customer, she continued watching and glaring at my family from across the store. After feeling repeatedly singled out and uncomfortable, I finally asked if there was a problem. When we later checked out, the cashier called two additional associates to the front, none of whom were wearing visible name tags. The associate ringing us up claimed he "didn't know" the cashier's name, and when I politely asked her directly, she responded with, "I don't have to give you shit." The employee continued making rude comments toward me in front of my 7-year-old daughter, and when I stated I would be reporting the interaction due to her disrespectful behavior, her response was, "Do what you gotta do." I am currently pregnant, and this entire interaction caused unnecessary stress, anger, and discomfort for both myself and my family. We walked into the store peacefully expecting a normal shopping experience and instead were treated with hostility and complete unprofessionalism. This was by far one of the worst customer service experiences I've had, and it genuinely makes me reconsider shopping not only at this location, but at PetSmart overall if this is the standard of behavior being tolerated from employees.

The parking lot is always packed, I usually have to park across the street and walking over to the building. (The Petsmart itself isn't that crowded though, so I think most of their spots are being used by visitors of other stores) The aquatics section is very minimally stocked - both in terms of products and fish. Many of their tanks are empty or have very few of the fish that are listed on the tags. Would love to see them have a much more consistent stocking and greater variety. I would assume Saturday is one of their busiest days of the week yet there are very few staff working. On my last two visits I've waited about 5-10 minutes in the aquatics section without seeing a staff member anywhere nearby. I was only helped after asking a cashier to page across the intercom for some service in aquatics. To their credit, I will say that the staff are friendly when you finally do get the help you need. Maybe they're just understaffed?

Groomiez has truly become our go-to for dog grooming for years, and I wouldn't consider taking Saydee anywhere else. One of the things that immediately impressed me about Groomiez is the exceptional care they provide. The owner, who is also the groomer, goes above and beyond to ensure the well-being of every dog in her care. Saydee always feels comfortable and relaxed during her grooming sessions, which speaks volumes about the loving and calming atmosphere created by the owner. Transparency and great communication are two other outstanding qualities I've experienced at Groomiez. The owner takes the time to discuss Saydee's grooming needs and any specific concerns I may have. She provides detailed explanations about the grooming process and is always ready to answer any questions I might have. This level of communication has been invaluable, as it allows me to have complete peace of mind knowing that Saydee is receiving the best possible care. Efficiency is another area where Groomiez truly shines. The groomer works with precision and attentiveness, ensuring that every grooming session is not only efficient but also delivers impeccable results. Saydee's haircuts have consistently exceeded my expectations. Her fur looks fantastic and well-maintained after each session, and the attention to detail is evident in the flawless finish. It's clear that the groomer takes great pride in her work and strives for excellence in every grooming appointment. Moreover, the value Groomiez provides is well worth every penny. The quality of service and the level of care Saydee receives make it clear that this is an investment in her overall well-being. The peace of mind and the positive grooming experiences she has at Groomiez are priceless. In conclusion, I highly recommend Groomiez Board & Groom to any dog owner seeking exceptional grooming services. The owner's dedication to providing top-notch care, along with the transparent communication, efficiency, and phenomenal results, truly sets this establishment apart. Saydee and I have found our forever groomer at Groomiez, and we wouldn't trust anyone else with her precious grooming needs. The bowties, bandanas, and ties are a wonderful finishing touch!

Prior to today, I gathered all of the details for today's visit. The young lady stated the temperament testing was free, (I learned this was not true once I got there and signed my pup up for the day). (FIRST NEGATIVE) Prior to leaving, I had my own water bowl and water for my pup. The young lady said, oh no, we provide water for your dog. ALL OF THE DOGS DRINK OUT OF THE SAME BOWL. (I knew I should have gotten my dog and left then but I didn't). (SECOND NEGATIVE) At the conclusion of the testing, they are suppose to provide a physical report card of how well your pup did. Fast forward to the pickup. When they brought my pup out, he did not look like how I dropped him off (I'm not complaining about this because he was playing with other dogs.) BUT, he smelled like the other dogs ganged up on him and dumped urine all over him. Ohhh goodness, he was a stinky mess. I did not inquire about this, which I should have. (THIRD NEGATIVE). When I asked for the report card, the young lady goes, "oh I'm sorry, he doesn't have one because there were a lot of dogs today." REALLY?!? But you took my money with no problem. (FOURTH NEGATIVE) The moral to this story, there are too many negatives for the initial consultation so I will pass.
