Back in my day, this used to be a Blockbuster! Okay, now that I've established I'm ancient, here comes the review. I needed several pet things and stopped here while out running errands. I was actually planning to stop at Park Ave Pets, but they hadn't yet opened for the day. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and helped me get a heavy bag of outdoor bird seed into my trunk. They have a great selection of dog treats and rawhides, many made in USA so you don't have to worry about feeding the scary stuff to your pets. I don't *love* pet stores that sell animals and think it's kind of sad, but at a glance none of them seemed to be in distress. It can get pretty hairy in here at times when the shipment truck is in, because I suspect they do a pretty large volume of inventory turnover being the sole source dedicated chain pet store to the immediate downtown area, but the staff in here are always great and will help you find or reach anything you need. They have dog wash in the back, regular vet clinics, and a cat adoption space. Parking is easy in their own lot, and they will help you carry mobile/online/heavy orders right out to your car. If you bring your fur baby, prepare to have it fawned over- these folks are real pet lovers :) As of 3/8 they do close at 8pm M-Sat (6pm Sun)- my only complaint- but that's corporate, not them! read more

New pets need new toys, etc and of course, you can't forget the not new pets! I wanted to see cat condos in person because some things are just better viewedi that way. What I didn't know is they come home with you fully assembled. So bring a large car or I guess view in person and see if they will deliver? It's a nice little supply store for not just you your doggies or kitty cats but you can get bird food, fish food and etc (which we like to do) to feed Yellow Finches, Hummingbirds and the like. You can bring in your furry friend to take a look around. What's nice for us as it's a quick walk down if we need something and the staff is pleasant and helpful. Went today to try out the dog bath... such a deal for 10$! I am HAPPY to pay that to keep the mess out of my bathroom. They do supply shampoo but I brought my own. They even supplied towels! I paid that much at my last place to use a cold concrete room and had to supply towels myself. Employees have always been super friendly and helpful at every visit. They clearly put work into selecting and training the people they hire. The current cats inhabiting the cat room were much more relaxed about dogs, which was nice to see. I bought 4 small fish from this store. 2 days later my entire community tank came down with ICH. I called them and they said that all of their tanks have ich currently. They said all they could do is take back the fish and refund what I paid for them. My entire tank needs to be treated and all of my fish are ill. They said there is nothing else they can do.
