I called 5 times, left 3 messages and sent a text. They called me back once and left a message, I called back immediately and no one has called me back since. I have had to find yet another new groomer. If you can get in here, it's a great place, and my dogs loved it. But be prepared because you may not be able to get in again... Original post: We recently switched to this groomer because our old place started to go down hill. Our dogs were always afraid to go there too, but not Spoiled Rotten! Now when I bring them to the groomer they aren't shaking and crying. They actually run right in which is awesome. No matter how busy she has been she has figured out a way to work us in. I really appreciate that. On top of that, our doggiesalways come home looking adorable. I'm very happy we tried Spoiled Rotten. We will be sticking with this place.

We had our dog groomed and did the half day dog day care. Both were a great hit. The staff were informative and really seemed to enjoy working with the dogs. Looking forward to our next interaction.

I made an appointment and was told that for a bath and nails it would be about 2 hours. Because my dog is blind I'm kind of a nervous dog mom, so I dropped her off, then set a time for 2 hours...no call. Gave it another half hour - nothing by, so I called to check in (especially bc another review had brought up issues with them getting to their dog and communication). They told me that she was ready, so I went and picked her up. She seemed a little damp so I figured they'd dried her as much as possible without scaring the hell out of her. Got home and my boyfriend was like "she doesn't smell like she got a bath" which is weird for a post-groom. Then I took a closer look at her nails - they were still long and her dew claw seemed way too long and curled. This just wasn't acceptable but they'd already gotten my money and I really didn't want to call or go back. Aside from not feeling like my dog was properly groomed, I really wasn't impressed with the place itself. Because it's a "pet spa" (which I use loosely based on my experience) and a doggy daycare type place, the smell of dog feces/urine overpowers the smell of the spa. And it just didn't seem like a very professional business to be honest. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Maybe as a last resort but that's even after a bath outdoors with the hose.

I emphasized I was there mainly for the nail trim and told them in advance he does not like his feet touched but the dozens of groomers we've been to throughout the country (we've lived in 6 states in the past 5 years) have been able to trim his nails just fine. I even brought his muzzle for them to use. First, the groomer called me at 9am and asked if I could bring my dog in at 10:30am instead of my appointment time of 11:30am. I said sure. I dropped him off at 10:30am with the above instructions and they said to come back at 12pm. At 11:15am the groomer texted me saying she was almost done and asked if I could pick my dog up asap because I told her he's not good with other dogs and they don't seem to have the ability to separate dogs after grooming. So I dropped what I was doing and rushed back over. When I arrived, the groomer and owner told me they couldn't do his nails. Even with the muzzle they said he was dangerous and they couldn't do his nails. I was not happy but said ok, how much for just the bath then? They said the price would be $50. I said what?? I was quoted $40-45 for a bath and nail trim. The groomer rudely said, "We charge more for bad dogs. You have a bad dog." I said, I'm not paying more than you quoted me for services I didn't even receive. The groomer and owner started loudly telling me I needed to pay $50 because I have a very bad dog. Absolutely disgusting behavior on their part. I didn't even know where my dog was until I paid $53 for services not rendered. I would rate this groomer zero stars if I could. I have never experienced such nasty behavior from a shop owner. They don't love dogs, they don't know how to handle dogs, and they don't know how to be business owners. They could've avoided this terrible experience and review if they A) Didn't repeatedly call my dog a bad dog and B) Didn't charge me for services not rendered plus more than they quoted to begin with. I will be challenging this charge with my credit card company.

After the original owners of Puppy Love chose to retire and sell their business, everything…read morechanged, and none of it for the better. A horrific experience with the new ownership that required a visit to my veterinarian after a week-long stay traumatized my little lady, and I chose to never use them again. That is until the (2nd) owner chose to sell the business to Graham and Kathleen - the newest owners of Puppy Love Playcare. Similar to the original owners, Kathleen and Graham also live on site. After learning of the new change in ownership, I chose to give them a call and spoke with Kathleen for quite some time. Kathleen was forthcoming and answered all of my questions. I then decided to give Puppy Love another try and am so thankful that I took the chance! My little old lady was terrified when we first pulled up and she realized where she would be staying. I'm sure she was remembering the trauma she had experienced with the previous owner. But after picking her up from that week-long stay, I couldn't have been happier. It took Kathleen and Graham a few days to get her to let down her guard and relax, but she finally did so. And she showed no signs of stress when it was time for her to come home. After such a positive experience, I chose to use Puppy Love again for a two night stay, with the same results. This time my little lady acclimated even faster and enjoyed herself even more. If you had previously used Puppy Love prior to Kathleen and Graham's becoming the new owners and are afraid to give it another try, either because of a bad experience or reading some of the horrible reviews posted during that period of time, I would suggest putting those fears aside and giving the new owners a try. Going forward this will be the only daycare or long-term boarding facility I will use for my little old lady.
