I was so embarrassed when we arrived because my little demon decided to take a number two right in the lobby. The staff didn't flinch and assured me they would take care of it. They checked us in just like they would do for me when I visit a spa and ushered him away for his grooming appointment. They called me a few hours later to say my boy was ready but I told them I wouldn't be able to get him until a couple of hours later. The agent said that was fine and I could get him anytime before closing. Mind you, I dropped him off before 10 am. So I'm basically getting free daycare along with the grooming fee. Which I also didn't pay for because I had a complimentary visit! I gave a nice tip when I picked him up and he rounded the corner with a glorious mane. I couldn't stop laughing because he was blown out to the GAWDS. Anyway, we will be back and I know it will be worth it.

My dog is my fur baby, so taking him to a groomer I trust is really important to me. The employees are professional (on the phone and in person), they send a text reminder before your scheduled appointment, and they've always done a wonderful job cutting my dog's hair (haircuts complete with a colorful bandana). I especially love and appreciate how they have a gated area for dogs to wait in until their owners come pick them up (instead of crating them). I'm so glad that Pretty Paws is close to my home, and I'll continue to be a repeat customer!

There have been several changes implemented due to new ownership: 1) They no longer have cage free grooming and they put our dogs into kennels while they wait for us to pick them back up 2) Prices have gone up about 2-3 times due to the rise of inflation which is understandable but wanted to share to other dog owners for awareness 3) They use an assembly line process for grooming which is faster so our large dogs are typically in and out within ~2 hours Although our doodles typically came out well groomed for the most part, they both began to dread coming in and felt more anxious than usual, which wasn't a good sign to us. Additionally, the new front desk staff (male) could work on his customer service etiquette as he has came off as condescending multiple times to both myself and my husband regarding the care of our dogs. Our other friends who also brought their dogs here have shared similar sentiments. This is not their fault, but the location can be challenging to get to during traffic hours (they close at 4PM Monday through Saturday) since it's right on 50 and a lot of cars are going out west.

Whenever we need to cancel or reschedule it is super easy to request online and, again, Woofie's is super accommodating, friendly, and responsive. Our frightened little girl did very well with Katie, who is now grooming our new Maltese. Katie is completely professional and courteous, extremely accommodating to our schedule, and understanding when emergencies happen. When I realized that our new dog's coat is thicker and coarser than our previous dog's, I asked her to change the cut; Katie responded in a positive manner and understood completely what I was asking for. When i first started coming here, the owner was great at cutting my poodles' hair. Ever since she left, the new groomers have been not so great. HOWEVER, despite the inconsistency, they are willing to accommodate and learn to cut my poodles' hair the way I like it. I have tried going to other places in NOVA, 6 different groomers to be exact. Everywhere else is worse and they don't know how to cut a standard poodle's hair. I even went to the other Ashburn Belmont Chase Woof Gang location and they gave my dog an ear infection (very untrained groomers there)! I started coming here when my poodles were puppies and because of the owner back then, my dogs dont fear going to the groomers. I have started coming back here now with my nine year old poodles and I think I will not look for other groomers anymore.
