Got my dogs nails trimmed. Same prices as everywhere. They did a decent job but told me after that they were charging me a $30 fee because they had to use an extra person to help hold him. $30 FOR 5 MINUTES OF WORK and no warning. A few weeks ago I stopped by this place to buy clothes for my puppy and able to find XS in stock . Today I visited this place to have my 5 months old maltese's missing shots. Staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. Different then Petsmart , they are not trying to sell you extra stuff that you or your friend don't need. Clean and well organized place. Also , very important, looks like this store locally owned and family run and I always prefer local businesses. I will bring my other 2 dogs for their check-ups. read more

What an horrible horrible experience. Terrible owners. How a good day can go terribly wrong. I could go on but would I will try to be brief, I have two bishop poo mix, I dropped snoopy and showed the groomer his ear and nails and asked to trim everything and left. After 3 hours I came back, gave them angel and took snoopy with me. Snoopy was not looking normal and Then I notice snoopys both ears bleeding, I go to the person at the desk and ask her what happened, she tells me that, thats how snoopy was brought, what ??? They say I didn't see it and they had nothing to do with it. I called the groomer and asked her if snoopy was brought that way, now I could could clearly see that the trimmer was used to close to his ears and it peeled of his skin. As I was asking the groomer, comes in this wicked lady and goes on about how she's aware of what happened and I may NOT be taking care of my DOGS properly and maybe I'm abusing them, instead of being sorry and trying to fix the problem, they were on that reverse. this was it, I was not going to take it anymore and my fuse went off... for somebody who calls my babies dogs and treats this as ignorant and not aware is crazy, instead of helping my baby with the bleed they were talking about something ridiculous and be a hypocrite and act like they care . So what she does next, she calls the animal services to take my babies away from me, could you bully somebody anymore. At this point I'm all alone and never felt so vulnerable in my life, I told the animal services person to follow me and check my place, my closet with clothes, cabinet with food or any neighbors and if any one said otherwise, she is more then welcome to take away my babies from me. Imagine this ordeal and what these wicked people are capable of doing and got away free, I took pics and pics don't lie. I believe in karma, what snoopy suffered wishing them the same to them and praying no other babies and family have to go through the same. read more

This is by far the worst vet I have ever been to. I am convinced Dr. Saini is not even a real vet due to his very apparent lack of knowledge of how to care for a dog and experience handling them. My sweet dog used to love going to the vet, but when we tried to switch to this horrible place to save some money, her tail was tucked in the entire time and she kept trying to run to the door, and for good reason, as the "vet" and his one staff member, a creepy, homeless looking receptionist/"vet assistant" with the worst dandruff I have ever seen, were not being gentle with her at all and handling her in a manner that honestly disgusted me as an animal lover. I guess you get what you pay for, but the total price here for both of my visits ended up being a considerable amount more than what I would pay for the same routine checkups at much better, accredited vets in the area due to him making up ailments that my perfectly healthy dog supposedly had. They have to make up for their low checkup prices that they advertise to draw in clients somehow. The first time, he claimed she had an ear infection and charged me upwards of $100 for medication to fix it, plus the charge for another appointment a few weeks later to make sure the "ear infection" was gone. Truth be told, we did not even administer the medication at all because he never actually showed us how to do it, but two weeks later when he checked again, it was magically healed! Probably because it never existed in the first place... We decided to give them another chance, and basically the exact same thing happened again. We were told to bring in a fecal sample for a heartworm test, which we never had to do at any other vet before because they have the resources to perform a much simpler and more convenient blood test, but we did it anyways. After the checkup, he went in the back with the poop for about ten minutes and came out claiming she had worms, which is very unlikely considering we have been consistently feeding her interceptor plus since she was a puppy and never had a problem with worms before. He, again, charged us a ridiculous amount for a medication that I later found online for a quarter of the price, and told us to come back in two weeks, by which the worms were gone! How surprising... The actual facility is also just awful. It's a tiny pet store with an even smaller "clinic" hidden in the back. There is literally one examination room. If you like a setup like this, just go to Banfield Pet Hospital which is located inside many Petsmarts in the area. Honestly anything is better than this. I also tried to order some Bravecto (flea and tick medication) and interceptor plus (heartworm medication) from Chewy during this quarantine because we were out, and I put his contact information down as the prescriptions from my other vets were expired. Chewy cancelled my order because they called multiple times and got no response, which I thought was strange because I have ordered medicine from Chewy from all of my previous vets with no problem, I did not even have to contact the vet myself at all. I called Cascades about it, and Dr. Saini immediately tried to sell me medicine directly from his clinic, telling me that both of mine that I have been using my dog's whole life were "not good" because he does not carry them, and that he could ship his medicine directly to me. He did not seem to have a problem with prescribing these to me, but when I just asked him to give the prescriptions to Chewy for my current medicines, he started claiming that he could not prescribe me the interceptor plus as it was not "in his notes" that I had her on heartworm medicine. He informed me that I would have to email him my entire order history from Chewy to prove that I have been giving her this medication, which I was fine with until he said he would charge me $15 per medication to verify the prescription. It disgusts me that somebody would take advantage of customers like this, especially during times like these. All these other reviews are probably fake and written by his friends, there is no way there are only 13 reviews, and two of them were written by people whose dog's lives he saved. tldr: Just go anywhere but here. You will not regret it. Dr. Saini is just a scammer who opened up a crappy little pet store and wasn't making enough money, so did the absolute minimum required to open a vet clinic in the back of it and treats all his customers and their pets as ways to make money and doesn't care about them at all. read more

I am here waiting outside of cascades pet hospital got a dog grooming appointment at 9am (when they open) and they still have not opened (it's currently 9:05). I tried calling the main line and no one answered. I am very unhappy with the service. I will only continue to wait outside for another 5 minutes. I made an appointment therefore I expect for the place to be open when I arrive during opening hours. Very unhappy and do not recommend this place to anyone who has a set schedule of things to do. I have to go to work and was planning on leaving my dog here while I go but now I'm going to be late thanks to the horrible service and unreliable workers. Update: I stuck around until 9:29 am and still no workers in the shop. The shop remains closed. This is ridiculous!!! read more

During the holidays, my dog wasn't acting like himself. Cascades was the only one open so I decided to take my chances. I'm really glad I did because Dr. Saini and his team made me feel very comfortable. He explained everything to me from the bloodwork results to the estimate of what he thought is best for my baby. He's very thorough and detailed with his explanations. I did have an estimate that was more than I was expecting but once Dr. Saini explained everything to me I was happy to see how thorough he is and being in the medical field I was able to tell he was not just trying to do things for money like I saw in the other reviews. I will be recommending Dr. Saini and his staff to all of my friends in VA. read more

Terrible place, terrible service, and terrible doctor. We called in advance to see if we could get a dog examination for free and 2 employees said yes. One employee over the phone and one in person when we got there. Our dog cut his foot and we wanted to get a quote on how much it will be. After waiting an hour, a doctor finally saw our dog. He checked our dogs temperature, cut our dogs bandages off, and reviewed the cut. After leaving for 5 mins he finally came back with a quote. The quote was too high for us and they didn't offer a payment plan, so we kindly declined any further procedures. Out of the doctors frustrations he charged us a $50 examination fee. We expressed that someone over the phone told us that we specifically came to this place for an free examination. One of his assistance popped out this random sign that said "free examinations only on Monday - Saturday. New customers must pay on Sundays only. We expressed that they didn't at that over the phone or in person. The doctor didn't care and charged us. They are a bunch of crooks. Please don't even waste your time or energy with this scammy hospital that'll do whatever it takes to make a buck. PS. They didn't even bother to wrap of our dogs leg back up. All they told us is that we should get it rewrapped before it gets infected... NOTE: The business owner is known to make excuses and try to indirectly blame you for his stuffs mistakes. read more

We got our two labradoodles, Cosmo and Ava, groomed at Cascades Pet Depot with Andrea, and we were so happy with the whole experience. The employees were friendly and seemed to genuinely care for our dogs. We asked for them to feed our dogs a bit of food while they were there since we hadn't had time to feed them and they were more than happy to accommodate our needs. When we came back to pick them up, they looked GREAT and they had definitely, despite being shy dogs, warmed up to Andrea. Andrea made sure to let us know how they did, and how great they were. They rescheduled my dog's grooming appt 3 times due to sick groomer. I called make an appointment but when came in they said whoever I spoke with didn't put the appointment down and groomer wasn't there that day... fine rescheduled couple days later. Got home and received a called from them asked to reschedule again bc they don't think groomer will able to make it again. Ok, not a problem! Came back today for third time and they said groomer is not there bc she/he doesn't feel well after a week. I meann..... I don't have time to kept coming and sent back multiple times in a week. They could have call before the appointment time if any problems occurred but NO. Very unprofessional!!! I'm not recommend anyone coming here for grooming services. read more

My wife and I went in here the other day for the first time. The customer service they provide is probably the best I've ever experienced. They have a lot of great items to choose from that are all very well priced. The food selection is top notch providing very healthy brands of food. We called the store to schedule a nail grind appointment for our dog. During this call, we were told that a nail grind would cost $20.99 which is only slightly above standard pricing so we were fine with this. However when we arrived at the store, after waiting for 15 minutes past the appointment time, we were told that a nail grind would cost $30.99 - we were obviously thrown by this significant change in price. When we explained that we were given a different price on the phone, we were offered the service for $25.99 instead but we declined. No apology was offered for the inconvenience or misinformation given which was the most disappointing part of the visit. read more

I would rate 0 stars if I could. The prices for the dog food and care supplies were far more expensive than any other pet store I've been to. The selection of food for dogs was small and most foods there are very unhealthy for dogs. A bunny sits at the front of the store in a very small kaytee cage. It sits in this small cage for most of the day with barley any hay and no enrichment for the bunny. If you are a bunny owner then you understand that this is NOT okay and this bunny is NOT happy. As a animal lover it infuriates me that a pet store that should promote healthy and happy animals is keeping a un cared for bunny. Bunnies should be free roamed and always have hay to munch on. Caring for bunnies is a full on job and keeping a bunny in a cage where it can barley walk a few steps will not cut it. It breaks my heart to see this bunny in such bad shape and I hope that this store will research in bunny care before getting one because right now they are hurting a hopeless bunny. read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I took my dog here to get a haircut and now she is bald and looks nothing like herself. The groomer was brand new, and my dog was sadly her guinea pig. My dog is literally bald at the top of her head thanks to her being a practice dog. I would not recommend this place. I had very high hopes until my experience proved my wrong. read more

Not the worst place to take your darling pet, but I will not be recommending anyone to go there. Yes, the doctor is amiable, the staff is attentive and kind, BUT when it comes to the pricing, I always seem to get hustled. They share one price at first, and then they surprise you with more charges or that the vaccine includes 1 or 2 follow up boosters that they didn't tell you about... I always like to hear everything up front so I can make a decision prior to committing to a transaction. I also question the cleanliness of the waiting area and examination room. When the doctor asks his assistants for help, I feel for them bc they look terrified to handle large pets. Again very nice people but not sure what qualifications they have to be the doc's assistants. I enjoy getting a deal, so I mostly shop online for pet medicines, I was stunned that instead of supplying the online shop for the heartworm test prescription, they gave me a call to come into the store and buy the meds there, at the same price. They simply can't match the online sale price, even when they say they can and convince me to go back into the store (what a hassle!) when I got there it was still a few bucks higher than the online price, but I was already there, so you know the rest. read more
