Great experience at Pet Supplies Plus. Needed help from an associate to find the new cat food for my cat that her vet recommended. I spoke with Elijah he went out of his way and went the extra mile to make sure I had the right cat food for my girl. And when we could not find the right wet cat food Elijah went above and beyond to continue to look for the food. He found it drop the food up to the cash register as I was checking out. I adore this place, it's small and easy to get in and out of. My cat is extremely picky and only eats wet cat food, they're always freshly stocked on the brand I buy for her and from time to time I can get a good sale on them! Also, they're very understanding when my cat wont eat something I buy her and happily return it and refund me. The cashier's are very friendly and quick. If I had a dog.....I'd buy him some of those dog cookies by the register because they look good enough for human consumption! read more

Buyer beware. My husband called a week ahead to schedule our small dog for a 5 p.m. grooming appointment. When we got there, we weren't greeted and waited 15 mins past our time with a nervous pup while the groomer finished trimming nails on "walk-in" dogs who were brought in a couple of mins before our appointment time. There are usually at least 2 groomers but someone called off so there was only 1 groomer, Holly. We would've appreciated a call when they knew there was only going to be 1 groomer so we had a choice to reschedule. Not only did we wait for our own appointment, but since there was only 1 groomer, Holly stopped every time a "walk-in" came in. Our dog is small and she was the only pet scheduled so after almost 2 and a half hours - we'd heard nothing - we got nervous. My husband called at 7:20 pm and Holly impatiently told him that she'd been "crazy busy" with walk-ins and our dog was only about halfway groomed. We drove to the store and watched from an aisle. When a walk-in client came in, Holly would stop our dog's grooming, put her in a cage, tend to the walk-in, get our dog back out of the cage, and resume grooming her. Our dog's grooming was interrupted over and over, for hours. Holly was impatient and rough with our little dog and that really bothered us. Our appointment was low on the priority list, AFTER walk-ins and it took almost 3 hours. We were disappointed with the grooming, too. Our dog's fur wasn't matted and we were clear we wanted a 1.5 - 2 inch cut. When Holly was finished, our dog was completely shaved. We could see her skin through her fur, it was awful. My husband told Holly that it wasn't the cut we'd requested. She got defensive and snapped that our dog had been matted and we'd be charged an extra $10 fee. Our dog had NOT been matted but how could we prove that, AFTER she shaved the dog bald?! She refused to release our dog to us until we paid the price of the grooming, plus her additional fee. We didn't leave a tip. We were treated like second-class consumers and our dog was a shaking mess by time we got her back. We won't be returning. read more

The employees at this pet store are always amazing at helping me. I have pet rats, and they take me into the back and look at them with me and talk to me. One man gave us a discount because we were using the rat as a pet and not a feeder. The only problem with their rats is that they are not well socialized, but that is common in pet store rats and is truly the fault of the breeder they were shipped from. Overall, this pet store is amazing and it is always the first place I go to look for rats or for pet supplies. The people who work there are just amazing, and they don't sell sick or aggressive animals like Petco did to me, which is another huge plus. I definitely recommend this pet store. read more

The staff is friendly to me, but I tend to be a regular at all local pet stores. They are more expensive than the Petco right across the street, and that bothers me. They sell rabbits and chinchillas though, and Petco does not. What bothers me about this pet store is that they sell their rats and mice as feeders while Petco and PetSmart so not. The only other pet store that sells these animals as feeders is another local store called Pet Finatics, a store that specializes in reptiles. While that bothers me as well, the store breeds their own rats and has a self sustaining population, and the genetic pool of their rats is much larger. Pet Supplies Plus does not sustain their own feeder population and continuously buys new rats to sell as snake food. This is disheartening to me because Pet Supplies Plus is not even a reptile store like Pet Finatics. pet Supplies Plus should only sell mice and rats as pets like PetSmart and Petco do, the other stores closest to them in how they appear and are run. It has been proven that feeding frozen is safer, and it is definitely more humane, and a pet store that is not even a reptile focused store has no reason to sell rats as food instead of pets. Rats make wonderful pets and deserve to be treated as such. However, the employees have always been incredibly friendly to me. I wrote an old review on yelp on another account when I was younger, and I want to highlight that I was given a discount for buying the animals as pets instead of food. I didn't truly realize that so many other stores sold rats as pets only then and this store didn't, but I understand that now, and that disappoints me. They do care about me and my animals though and ask me about my pets. They try to remember all the names of my pets, which I find amusing. I like how I am allowed to hand pick my rats before anyone else at this store. I can call and come in first to look at the rats. I can't do that anywhere else. Basically I love this store for many reasons but also wish it would change a few things. read more
