The area behind the counter is pretty open so you can see where your pet would be in the washing process, the drying process and the grooming process. I didn't see many crates or cages, so that was nice -- the pets are able to roam about freely before and after the groom, which probably helps with their anxiety about "grooming day" anyway. My dog is quite spoiled, so the thought of her "mom" leaving her was very taxing, I'm sure. I have a yorkie and when getting her groomed, I prefer her to have a "puppy cut". After filling out the first-time paperwork, we forgot to specify services, but I got a phone call right away to ask what kind of cut we were going for. Upon picking my dog up, she was very happy to see me and didn't look stressed out or bothered. I was told that she made friends and was a good girl :-) The cut was nice - we decided to not go FULL puppy cut because it was so cold out. They left a little length on her and gave special attention to the feet, face & fanny. Her face was left a little full, which was fine, too. She looked great and smelled fresh with a light scent. The staff was nice -- I watched them interact with other clients and I was treated nicely, as well. They also had patience and love for the pets under their care. Because of his age, he has arthritis and moves slower. Denise knows this and takes special care to be gentle with him. She always gives him the best cuts, cleans his ears and trims his nails-she even gives him cute bandanas around all of the holidays and takes a Polaroid picture that she gives you when you pick your dog up! Her prices are half of what you would pay any where else. Denise's shop is extremely clean and is decorated like a cute little cottage. The one reviewer who mentioned that their dog got fleas after being groomed there, must have already had fleas before going there. There is no way that there is even one flea in the place! Denise takes as good care of her shop, as she does the animals she grooms. I highly recommend her.

This time has been the worse. Both eyes flame red, watering and she prefers to lay with her eyes closed. She can see when she walks, but who knows how well! We have put drops in her eyes which has helped. Last two times it took a couple days for Zoey to stop rubbing her eyes. That was one eye each time. This time it's both. We will be at our vet if this is not continually improving the next 24 hours. One time is an oops, multiple times is incompetence. We will not be returning to Posh Pets grooming any longer. We will be at our vets on Monday to insure Zoey is OK. Absolutely no longer recommend this groomer!
