I usually purchase pet products from national retailers such as Chewy, Petsmart, Amazon, and Target, but I felt interested in investigating the Healthy Pet Products store in the North Hills. When I entered the store, an employee immediately greeted me and asked if I needed any assistance. I looked around the store for many minutes. I found lots of unique products that I had not seen at other retailers. I saw many brands and types of foods and treats (e.g., bagged, canned, frozen, freeze-dried, raw, and grain-free) in many flavors (e.g., chicken, beef, duck, lamb, rabbit, turkey, and venison). I also saw many types of toys, health supplements, hygiene products, grooming supplies, leashes and collars, etcetera. I decided to buy three treats for my dog--turkey, beef and lamb, and bacon ice cream. A second employee immediately noticed me at the cash register, greeted me, accurately scanned my products and processed my payment, and thanked me. It isn't a brand we ever would have known about or even tried if we had visited another pet store. Their staff really know their stuff! They are friendly, helpful and great at providing recommendations. The store itself is well stocked with a wide variety of food, treat, toy and pet accessories. If you have a specialty need for your pet or just want to shop a place with a lot of knowledge that isn't huge and overwhelming like some pet stores can feel, this is a great place.

There coats looked great as well as nails where nicely done. Karen is a great groomer and prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Karen and Doggone Delightful for all your dogs grooming needs. As they are silk dogs, we do brush them often to keep them neat. With little cutting needed we want the Sisters to look alike with mainly a bath and comb out. The key is to FOLLOW WHAT WE WANT. This was our second recent trip to LATHER . . . NEVER AGAIN. We told the groomer specifically if they found a mat and needed to shave it was okay as long as it was not visible (eg., belly). When we picked them up and paid $ 193.50 we found that one dog was completely shaved on her face, mustache gone, beard gone, even whiskers gone. We now have one Havanese with a traditional cut and one with a poodle face. The owner told me that they decided one mat under the chin could not be combed out so he decided to shave her entire face. We should have been informed and allowed to decide. There was no need to shave her entire face. Now that I read the reviews I can see that the owner is never wrong, always an excuse to protect his business. We did not ask for a refund. We were not at all satisfied; the key point is IF YOU WANT A CHOICE IN HOW YOUR DOG IS GROOMED, AVOID LATHER. All we wanted to hear from the owner was, yes, they made a mistake. No way. He said he did what was best for the dog - not his decision, not his dog! GO ELSEWHERE.
