As they are silk dogs, we do brush them often to keep them neat. With little cutting needed we want the Sisters to look alike with mainly a bath and comb out. The key is to FOLLOW WHAT WE WANT. This was our second recent trip to LATHER . . . NEVER AGAIN. We told the groomer specifically if they found a mat and needed to shave it was okay as long as it was not visible (eg., belly). When we picked them up and paid $ 193.50 we found that one dog was completely shaved on her face, mustache gone, beard gone, even whiskers gone. We now have one Havanese with a traditional cut and one with a poodle face. The owner told me that they decided one mat under the chin could not be combed out so he decided to shave her entire face. We should have been informed and allowed to decide. There was no need to shave her entire face. Now that I read the reviews I can see that the owner is never wrong, always an excuse to protect his business. We did not ask for a refund. We were not at all satisfied; the key point is IF YOU WANT A CHOICE IN HOW YOUR DOG IS GROOMED, AVOID LATHER. All we wanted to hear from the owner was, yes, they made a mistake. No way. He said he did what was best for the dog - not his decision, not his dog! GO ELSEWHERE.

We have taken all of our dogs to Cameo at Reigning Cats & Dogs for the last 20+ years. All of our…read moredogs are Bichon Frise's, and if you are familiar with this breed of dog, they get very fluffy and have curly coats, and can get matted and dirty because they are white dogs. She always does an excellent job with our dogs. When we had two dogs at one time it would take about 4 to 4 1/2 hours to finish both dogs. Now that we are down to only having one dog it takes about two hours for a full grooming, which includes his bath, a full haircut, shaving down about 5 inches of hair for his summer cut, and doing his nails. When I read reviews that mention this Salon being dirty with pet hair and smelling like dogs, I think to myself, what do you think is going on here? She is grooming, both cats and dogs! Of course there is going to be pet hair! If you want an overpriced Shishi Hair Salon that mimics your own then maybe this is not the place for you or your pet. As you may be aware, all dogs and cats are cooperative during the grooming process. So while Groom do take the utmost care to be gentle with pets, there are occasional times when there could be a Nick or a cut from a clipper during toenail clipping or regular grooming. This has only happened to us maybe twice in 20 years, but accidents do happen when pets are moving about on the grooming table. All little knicks have been minor and she has always informed us if this ever happened. We have always been pleased with our dogs' end result. I definitely recommend Cameo for grooming!

I've been going to Amy for grooming for 14 years. I currently have two small dogs, our last two…read moregrooming experiences at Bow Wow Styles have been terrible. in May I had both dogs in for grooming, when picking them up Amy got very upset with my toy poodle because she had peed in the crate. puppy was only 8 months old and had been at the Salon for 3 hours and not been taken out. It was Amy's idea to bring both dogs at the same time but I had no idea they wouldn't have the opportunity to relieve themselves. Well this week, I had both littles in to Bow Wow dropped off at 3:00pm was told to pick them up at 6:00. when we got there Amy was still cutting the toy poodle and the shihtzu was in the crate and crying. I asked one of the other groomers to please get Shihtzu out of crate so I could take him outside to walk. when the groomer was getting Shihtzu out of crate. Amy yelled at the poodle and said that's what I didn't want you to do. Next thing I knew Amy grabbed the poodles leash off the wall and yelled, I'm done, I'm done. She shoved the poodle and leash in my husbands arm and told him to take her! Had we not already paid I wouldnt have paid. Amy used to get upset with our now deceased labradoodle and once cut him in the rectal area requiring stitches. I've always tried to stay loyal to Amy she was my first groomer when moving here 15 years ago. Now it's my turn to say, I'm done! I will not ever be going back. Her website is also deceiving stating they sell stuffies, treats etc. My advice if looking for someone with patience for your furries this is not the place for you.

They texted on March 27th informing us they had to cancel bc Tim had family obligations. NO BIG DEAL!! Stuff happens and things come up. They asked to reschedule in the messages but we were away and I didn't have great service and when we got back I forgot about it. We had to put our older dog down , our own family stuff...whatever, life! I text on April 29th, apologizing by for not responding and looking g to schedule our apt. I receive a message that basically ally bc I didn't keep up with the 10 week schedule (which we never agreed on but did agree to a seasonal cut) that Tim would no longer take us as a client and because our dog was bigger and more difficult no one else could do it. WAIT!! You cancelled that apt, not me!! We would have been there! And then I have to make my schedule fit within a 1 week window that you cancelled on??? Now, I know she's difficult, she big and if she doesn't want to do something uses her weight to her advantage. So, if that was the reason I could totally u detract and wouldn't even leave a negative review, bc that's honest. However, trying to blame me, when YOU cancelled, having this be the 3RD apt in the 7mon we've lived here. Almost averaging every other month, but complaining about consistency, when I didn't cancel the apt!! I'll take my faults, I didn't text back, I don't text back my best friends bc I have kids, I had a dying dog that required care most of the day, and just life. But still it's not cool to not respond within a certain time frame, so I'm sorry. I called to talk to them in person and was promised a call back after Tim got done with a dog he currently had in the Tub, that was 4hrs ago...I would have loved to rectify this without a review, but if you'll lie about me missing the apt that I have the text to prove what else will you lie about...
