I normally love PSP, I used to go back and tennessee and employees were absolutely amazing! But this store had some issues, maybe its just me? When I went over to where the adoptable kittens and cats are, i got weird looks from lots of the employees, no body asked if I wanted to go in, so when I asked myself they looked at me, one even rolled their eyes, and walked away. At other PSP stores ive been too they always ask, if im looking, and allow me to go in if I ask, so I was pretty surprised when they didn't. My cashier didn't communicate with me much, only asked for a phone number and gave me my recipt. This Pet Supplies Plus store was clean, well-organized and stocked with the many items that I needed to get for my dog. The employee who assisted me was friendly and very helpful in assisting me in finding a couple of the items that I could not locate. I want to start by saying I love this store, all employees have always been helpful and friendly. I was so excited they started doing grooming! I took both of my labs in at the same time which they were able to accommodate. However, my dog that received the deshedding package came back covered in scabs on his back which I'm assuming is from excessive pressure while brushing. I will say, they provided what I asked for.. his coat never looked better. But Im sure it was an uncomfortable and painful process for him and definitely not standard of care. I called and asked to speak to the manager just to let them know what had happened in hopes of preventing future harm to animals and she was short with me and unapologetic of what had happened, I have little faith she handled the situation or spoke with the groomer appropriately so wanted to share my experience as a warning to those with fur babies. read more

When I entered the store I was desperately in need of some serious help in selecting a nutritionally well-balanced food for my cat. This location always does a great job at asking me if I need assistance. They definitely ask because they care and then when you want assistance they stay with you and help you explore all your options without making you feel like they are trying to rush to help another customer or do something else. I like to pop in here before or after my workout next door and always leave very satisfied. I have had help a couple different times when picking out toys for my very destructive dog toy lover. The employees have helped me find some great options. They were also super helpful when I needed some tick prevention with my concern of my dog sitting in the middle of the weight ranges. The employees helped steer me in the right direction with great facts to back up her suggestion. Definitely a great place to shop for your pet at! read more

Hands down the best pet store in GR. A friendly staff, cheap prices, and free bones (if you bring your pet) await you when you visit. I've compared prices with Chow Hound and Pet Smart, and they always win the price war. They have a new store on East Beltline in back of Culver's that I love. When I tell my dog we are going to the doggy store, he goes through the "roof" haha..great store! read more

I stopped here on my way to work to grab some cat food. Thought I'd have just enough time to dance in and get stocked up. The shelf tag by my food said "Buy 6, get 2 free". Fabulous! When I go to check out the cashier says they're not ringing up that way. I asked for a manager, got an assistant manager. I go back down the aisle and show her the tag. She grabs the closest cat food to the sign and goes to the checkouts. I wait while she signs into the register. She rings them up. No sale rings up. She then gets the weekly ad and looks for it. Not there. More time ticking by. She goes and gets the sale tag. While I wait. Again. After a few moments, she waves the tag in the air a couple of feet away from me points to some very find printing in one corner and says "The sale ended earlier, we missed the tag.". I pointed out it wasn't MY fault they left the tag up. She refused to honor the sign. And I was late for work. Won't be back. read more

Staff may be friendly and helpful when you are spending money but try to make a return and the are super rude. On the hunt for food for my Crested gecko and they were the only ones to have something close to what I usually buy at another store. And when I accidently lost the receipt and was just told no when I tried to return it cause my gecko won't eat it. Even when I was going to buy other things that were more than what the item I was returning was told no. No one tried to look anything up or even call a manager up to help. And when I called in the Manger was super rude and unhelpful. People make mistakes and lose receipts we don't expect our animals to dislike something. So rude of how it was handled and horrible customer service to not try to help someone out who is willing to buy something else. And I made a big mistake ever giving this store my business and now out the money on a product I will not use. Only gave one star cause I had to they don't even deserve the one!!!! read more

Great Store but I do miss the old location. It was closer to my home, easier to get to, and better parking. The previous store was a lot smaller, but it worked better for me because I have trouble walking. Feel free to return to your previous location.! read more
