I don't live in the Bonita area. My wife found this store on the way home after picking up the children at school. This is an amazing store filled with almost anything you want. If you can't find it, they will find it and get it for you. Great prices. Friendly and knowledgable sales staff. Prices are great also. I won't be buying pet supplies from anyone else. This place is TOP NOTCH! I have been a Bonita resident for over 10years now and upon visiting my family I discovered this store. One of my mothers cats has horrible allergies to food by the vet never thought about allergies. tested her for cancer, put her on steroids and kinda just waited around for her to die. Upon my own research and talking to a local cat rescue I discovered the probable food allergy. I went to Pet Supply, was greeted by friendly staff, asked if the had Taste Of The Wild, which they did! Petsmart and Petco does NOT! Staff was knowledgable about the food and food allergies and even better if there was a food I wanted to try that they did not have, they could ORDER IT!!!! They have AMAZING cat trees in that store. Best I've ever seen, and so fairly priced I almost fell over when I saw the tags, petsmart and petco always price gouges you on them so I started ordering offline, but I've never seen anything like this. And again they told me if I liked certain pieces of them, they could have them CUSTOM ORDERED!!! I have fallen head over heels for the staff and the family that own Pet Supply. They carry great brands, good foods, good people, awesome dog cookies, and have so much knowledge. I immediately told my mother and got her hooked, it's closer to home, family owned, local, prices are super fair which is huge these days. Before I drive back home to the Heartland, I am ordering custom made cat trees for my brood to replace my old ones and I'm hauling them across the country. Seriously. They were that good. I don't care if I sound crazy. I know good pet people, and a good pet store when I find it, and I sure as hell ain't letting these folks out of my sight! And thanks to their help and knowledge, Chloe is slowly doing better, gaining a smudge of weight, not vomiting or suffering from diarrhea. I am incredibly thankful for their help. read more

I know Petsmart and Petco may offer more discount than Pet Supply, but I genuinely love how caring the staff are and how helpful they are. The store always give me free samples of various cat food to help me test what food my very fussy cat will tolerate. They also have a great return policy so that if the food is opened and partially consumed, as long as you have the receipt, the store will give you a full exchange/return. I love coming here because it is very close to my home and I love supporting small local businesses. read more

Great variety and well stocked. They have an amazing inventory, from raw food to chicken feed to CBD oil to clothes! They can pretty much order anything you need for your fur babies. Customer service is always good and they constantly give samples so we can try out new things. I have been coming here for about a year now to buy food for my two dogs. The first time I came in I was having a really hard time because my dog has some pretty severe allergies. The owner was very helpful and turned me on to a great brand that has been amazing for my pup! This store is a little out of my way, but I gladly make the trip because the service is amazing! The guys here are helpful and courteous. They always offer to help me carry out the food to my car. It's rare to find a place that does this anymore. I couldn't agree more with the reviews. I just moved back to San Diego, and I saw this store where the Blockbuster in Bonita used to be, and I've been interested to check it out. Now, it is my official go-to pet store. My first experience with this Pet Supply store was an A++! I called at 6:45pm to find out what time they closed on a Friday (7:00pm), and even though I was 10 minutes away, they told me to come on over. When I arrived they remembered my name, gave me personalized help and didn't rush me for one second. With all my questions and specific request, they must have stayed open until at least 7:20, but they said they were happy to do it! Other people came in during that time, and they were just as friendly to them. In fact, they were not only uber-friendly but incredibly knowledgeable about their products, giving me information about my dog's food brand, Nature's Variety, (that even I didn't know after doing a lot of internet research) They even hooked me up with a awesome bargain sample of Instinct's frozen raw food, which I've been curious to try for a while now. Btw, my dog loves the raw duck bits that I now add to his dry food. Plus, the store is huge compared to what it appeared to be from the outside; they had EVERYTHING (toys, beds, treats, dog care products, a bunch of cat stuff and a HUGE selection of food) I usually have to visit Unleased, Petco and order a few things on line to get all food and treats that my finicky dog eats, but they had it all at Pet Supply...AND they price match. I couldn't be more pleased! Reminds me of a Trader Joe's for dogs (and cats). I love the large selection of natural foods they have for dogs as well as the variety of toys and just doggie stuff. Always very well stocked, convenient and the staff indeed is very polite and knowledgeable. I've been here multiple times and they are always very nice to my puppy and I never have to wait in line, yasss! Reasonable prices and if your dog is a picky eater like mine they will let you exchange the food if they don't like it. read more

I had this pet store bookmarked on Yelp for a while now & I finally decided to stop by; I'M SO GLAD I DID! When I walked in I was instantly greeted & approached by Daniel who was extremely helpful & informative. I asked so many random questions regarding dog food, bath stuff, flea medicine, brushes, treats, etc. and he was able to give me personalized recommendations based on what I told him about my dog. They have a good selection of HEALTHY dog food at a decent price. I typically look for dry food with no By-Products (and sometimes grain-free) for my pit-bull... This is so hard to find in grocery stores, stores like Walmart, and even other pet stores. I was happy to hear that they don't carry brands that have bad ingredients & junk in them, and I got 2 samples of their house brand! They also have an AWESOME selection of natural & organic bath/grooming products that I thought I could only find online! Five stars for my go-to pet store! I love their huge selection which includes plenty of natural, holistic and high quality food for my two Great Danes. They also have a wide variety of supplements, treats... Basically all you need in one store, especially if you focus on feeding your pets the absolute best. Their staff is very friendly, always offer to help me locate what I need, carry the heavy dog food bags out to my car, and I commend the manager, Russell, for being on the ball. He will order things for you that are not in stock, has impressed me with his knowledge on pet foods, and is an overall pleasant person to deal with. I highly recommend this place! read more

If it's in the same condition, bought yesterday and you have the receipt you SHOULD be able to to return it for cash. The gourmet dog food section has all the best foods for your dog (and some of the bargain brands) My dog is a special hunting breed and there is nothing I need for for her regular nutritional needs that they don't have. They are also stocked for the rest of the pets someone might have as well. I buy chicken feed her too. Organic and standard! Hands down the best place to go for your pet needs. My husband and I got our first boxer puppy a few months ago and Petsmart is right down the street from our house so we logically went there. A co-worker told me about this place and it's perfect location since I take our pup out for walks at Rohr park. The guy spent so much time educating me on my inquiry of the raw dog food. He could have told me that you give them raw food and kibble to make more money (and I would have gone right along with it since i'm clueless), but he didn't he told me we could wean him off of the kibble and provide him with raw food which would save us money in the long run AND is 1,000 times better for him. I would hands down recommend this place. Plus, if you bring your pup in with you, they always give them a healthy treat. :) read more

LOVE this store! It's just down the street, I can even call in my 'order' and it's waiting for me when I come in. We have mastiffs and we need great products to prevent joint damage. They carry an amazing liquid glucosamine that I swear by. The helpful staff suggested the cheaper of the 2 formulas with a knowledgable reason why I didn't need the other and wasn't just trying to make a sale (because my dogs are not athletes like the pooches at Rhor park on the weekend lol!!) They don't hound you like Unleashed, where I can't even shop in peace because the staff there won't leave my dogs alone. They also back their products and allow you to exchange everything. Lastly, we also have a saltwater reef aquarium. I was shocked that they had the exact coral food we needed, and told us that anything we need, they will special order even though it's not on their shelves. I guess I can't say enough good things about them. I recommend stopping buy for great prices on specialty products, for the wee ones to the horses, when you're in our neighborhood. read more
