This place is well stocked. I purchase Acana chicken and burbank potatoes dog food for my babies and Chicken Soup for the cat lovers soul and I can't find this food easily however Pet Supply in Bonita has it stocked! I can call them and put items on hold for my fiance to pick up at the register, I don't think anybody at Petsmart or Petco will give you that type of customer service. They always greet you when come in and offer to help you find what you are looking for in the store. I have also had to return items and they take back items with no problem as long as you have your receipt. I will be there tomorrow picking up food and treats for my babies. read more

I have been going to this store since they first open. Met the manager and I thought in the beginning he was great. However, after yesterday's shopping spree they have become rude, childish, and unable to want to help you. I think it is time to get a new fresh manage and someone who doesn't care to get to know their customers. I hope to never return the this store again! Customer service very bad. this is definitely a good find ~ very different from the commercial pet stores. pet supply is a family owned store and offers a vast array of pet supplies...from pet foods to treats to collars & more...it's like walking into a pet catalog {definitely a dream for any dog or pet lover}!!! the customer service is amazing...friendly staff who is willing to assist in any way & they're more than willing to order products if you don't find it in store. the prices are significantly lower...yes, lower than the commercial pet stores which is great! best of all...a pet store wouldn't be a pet store if your dog wasn't able to shop with you. i would definitely recommend adding this store to your favorites to visit...doggy in tow! read more

This place has my heart. I've been coming here since the location opened and i refuse to go anywhere for my babies' needs! whether it be dogs, cats, horses, small furry babies, reptiles, even livestock, they have endless isles of organic foods, toys, grooming and training supplies, and collars and leashes, tanks and terrariums and bedding. The staff is always so friendly, they remember their customers, and give their babies' treats! the guys never let me carry anything heavy to my truck, and that is so awesome to me. I've become friends with the owner, Russel. He is the most kind, and knowledgeable shop owner I've met. He is always in his shop..and you can tell he really cares about his customers needs. I was ecstatic when this pet store opened!! I hate Petco, (bad service & expensive) so I have always gone to the pet store in Murrieta near my work just to get Natural/Organic food for my dog. Well now that this store has opened up its extremely convenient, right next to Vons where I shop anyway and the employees are great! Very helpful, always offer to help carry the large bags of food to the counter and even to the car! Plus they have a great selection of Organic Foods for dogs, and other great treats :) Couldn't be happier when shopping for my dog! Oh, and even my dog loves to shop there :) read more

This place is really great! The staff is soooo helpful. I received info on pretty much everything that I needed. They didnt have the shampoo I needed, but the guy assisting me was so helpful, he ordered it for me and it came in a few days later! After getting my freebie, they even offered to carry my heavy bag of food out to the car. Good customer care and knowledge of not only products but pets themselves goes a long way. I love this store. This is our go-to store because 1) it's conveniently located in Bonita near the Vons where we grocery shop and 2) the owner and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We have an 8-month old boxer and they've been able to answer all of our questions concerning snacks, collars, walking accessories, hygiene and cleaning products since the day we brought him home at 8 weeks. You get much more one-on-one attention here then you will at Petsmart or any big chain store. We like that they have a good selection of bully sticks at reasonable prices -- those things can get expensive! Plus, they are pretty generous when it comes to samples b/c I always seem to walk out with a free goody for the dog. read more

I only started shopping at the Bonita Pet Supply a couple of months ago and have had a great experience overall. Not only are their staff knowledgeable about their products, but they go the extra mile in helping you find the one that's right for you. I've found that their prices are fair and comparable to places like Unleashed by Petco. I regularly purchase canned food and dry kibble for my two golden retrievers there, both of which were recommended to me by employees when I was looking to switch to better brands. My dogs used to pull too much when going out for a walk or jog, so I came into the store looking for a harness to help with that problem. Their employees easily spent 15 to 20 minutes with me in the back room, helping me try on harnesses that discourage pulling on both of my dogs. Since the dogs were a bit restless because of the unfamiliar enclosed space, one of the employees brought them dog treats to help calm them down. I'll definitely continue to shop there because I know I'll find quality products at a good price, and if needed, excellent customer service. By the way, you can probably disregard the two low reviewers as this store simply wasn't for them. read more

Honestly I rarely give 5 stars because I don't feel places really deserve it. But this place is awesome every time I go. Every staff member I walk by always asks if I need anything and is friendly. They always point out a sale on something i'm buying if I don't pick up enough to qualify (cause I wasn't paying attention lol). They offer samples of cat food for my finicky cat. Only bad thing was that they stopped selling my cats favorite treats. But since my cat will no longer eat them anyway that is no longer a problem. Their prices may not undercut other stores by tons but they are relatively competitive and the few cents I would save driving elsewhere would only be eaten up by the gas I would spend getting there. I actually live closer to another pet store that I used to shop at but after finding this store I will pass the other by. I also think its great that they don't sell animals in the store. read more

It's nice to have a pet supply here in Bonita. I buy my 30 pound bags of dog food here all the time....it's a little cheaper on the Internet...but it's more convenient for me here...I have an adorable 35 pound cocker spaniel...lately I've noticed some fleas on him and I also had to pull three ticks off his neck....I wanted to buy a really good and effective product, and the guy at Pet Supply recommended Advantix 11..he said it was the best they had..better than Frontline...it was quite pricey..two little tubes cost me over $30...I was certain that it would work...I followed the instructions and put the first tube along my dogs back..several days later I still saw plenty of fleas on him...I was very surprised because I actually thought that this stuff would work...and $30 for a period of two months would be worth it to me...the fleas did not go away and so after waiting 7 days I put another tube along his back...the fleas still remained and he was itching and scratching badly...I called Pet Supply bonita and they told me there was nothing they could do...I was very disappointed and I can just kick myself in the butt for not buying the stuff at Walmart...Walmart is cheaper and they have a great return policy...Pet Supply is much more pricey and they wouldn't do a thing....I think that's messed up..I'll just get my stuff at Walmart from now on..and if any of you people reading this find yourself in the same situation go to Walmart first... read more

I have a new favorite!!! The best selection of high quality pet foods I have seen so far in the area. Soooo many choices! Especially in the specialty variety such as grain free, natural, holistic, raw etc etc. They have the lowest prices I have found as well with even more unadvertised specials, online coupons and other offers. They have many hard to find grooming and health supplies available at great prices. Items for allergy relief to senior pet care to separation anxiety products etc. Much better selection than the big chain stores. I am all about supporting smaller businesses, Mom & Pop entrepreneurs so this is my kind of place. The employees are very helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable of their products. Products are well stocked and in high rotation. Nothing has been sitting there and about to go rancid or to expire like I have seen in other stores. I really appreciate the fact they do not sell pets especially cats and dogs when there are plenty perfectly fine adoptable shelter animals available. (On my first visit, I saved about 30% on my purchase of Acana Pacifica dog food and two bags of dog treats which were buy one get one free in comparison to my regular store) read more

If only there was a rating higher than 5 stars!! These people are ultra friendly, always say hello right when you walk in and are very helpful. They'll come up to ask if you need help finding anything and if you're holding something like a big bag of dog food, they will take it for you so you don't have to carry it. They even offer to carry it to the car for you! It's just so above and beyond here. They staff is super knowledgeable as well and a they have a hige selection there. Talk about the best food brands for your pets also! They carry many holistic, grain free brands, even raw foods too, BIG selection which I love!
