I got to say that my first experience with acupuncture has been with Rose at Petal and Point Wellness. I've always been someone who's been afraid of needles and I thought I would face my fear. Truth is, I've had about three or four acupuncture sessions, and I cannot begin to describe the benefits in such a short paragraph. There's nothing to be afraid of, only much to gain. I'm a big fan of holistic wellness. Originally, I came in just for my first session and surprised to find that it was completely painless. The sensations of healing and energy flowing through my body both during the session and after were noticeable. At one point, I had a knee injury where I tore my MCL, which is a ligament that does not get as much blood flow as tendons. Rose performed some treatments on my knee which allowed the micro abrasions to bring new blood, nutrients, oxygen, to the injured tissue and I can't even tell that I've ever tore my MCL anymore. I definitely know that the acupuncture made a difference in the healing of my tissues for that injury. This last session I went in just for an overall treatment and I felt so good. It's kind of hard to describe, but it's like a renewed sense of wellness, wholeness and serenity that I experienced. The positive effects are both physical and mental/emotional. I cannot say enough great things about Rose and her practice. She is truly compassionate, dedicated and caring about the treatment she provides. I would recommend it to anyone and highly encourage them to book a session with Rose, esp if they're curious or just on the fence with getting acupuncture. Working with Rose is like a breath of fresh air. Stepping into her sanctuary is such a treat. I know that the time I spend with her will be incredibly healing and sacred. Rose listens carefully and intently, and offers incredible ideas for ways to maintain health at home and outside of the office. On her table, I get transported into another realm. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I have a high stress job and found out last year that I have a hormone imbalance due to PCOS and Hypothyroidism. After being interested in, yet apprehensive of, acupuncture for a long time I'm so happy and grateful I was introduced to Rose. She is one of the kindest, most intuitive, patient and caring people I have ever met. Not only did she make me feel extremely comfortable and willing to come in, I fell asleep during the first session. I wasn't super nervous about coming in, but I wasn't very comfortable or, more accurately, wasn't overly optimistic of the benefits. I couldn't have been more wrong in my preconceptions of what I would get out this experience. I came in with a laundry list of things I needed to work on. Rose listened to and knew how to approach treatment for all those issues (some of which I have done extensive testing, etc on through the practices/philosophy of western medicine with no benefits - hence my initial pessimism). In just 3 sessions, Rose has worked wonders. I do hot tub service and lug stuff around around all day. And I follow that up by hunching over a desk for way too long each week to do art. It's not an exaggeration to say that Rose has me on a path that I truly believe can be life changing. Since I've been seeing her, my pain (shoulder, back and neck) has become way more manageable if not non existent: and my patience, energy, focus and concentration have drastically improved - directly benefiting my business in ways I never imagined. Rose is by far the best acupuncturist I have worked with. I would like to start by saying, Rose is a natural healer. Healing is her calling and I like her approach to wellness and my wellbeing. It's a long review but I wanted to provide enough information to help people make their decision. A little background. I injured my knee last year and was in a lot of pain. This injury brought my life to a complete halt. I couldn't do simple things like going for a walk, stand for 5 minutes, sit without elevating my leg on something, bend down to grab something, exercise regularly and the list went on. I did the routine of physical therapy and pain meds, but it wasn't enough. Pain meds only helped until they wore off and PT was helpful but not to get to where I needed to be, which was back to the things I loved doing without any pain meds. A trusted friend recommended Rose to me so I gave her a call to make an appointment. I instantly loved her energy and liked her approach. She was professional, inquisitive and informative. She explained all her methods in detail before application. She asked a lot of questions to which I answered with complete honesty. If I wanted this to work, I knew I needed to take stock of my life because I am not the best at making healthy decisions. At no point, it was awkward or that I thought I was being judged, which was refreshing as I never felt like that in my doctor's office. It was also refreshing that she isn't just treating my knee but is treating my whole body, mind and soul. It does sound cliche, but it's true. Western medicine treats only the symptoms and only for one issue at a time. I knew it would take more than a couple of treatments for my knee to get better, so I had to keep that in mind and not give up after a couple of treatments. Right before our first treatment, I sprained my back doing a basic upper body workout. I was in so much pain for a week that I couldn't even turn on my side in bed without wincing. It seemed like it was going to go on for a while. Aside from needles and other things, she did cupping on my back for the sprain. I went to sleep in pain and woke up the next day WITHOUT any pain in my back! It was like magic, except it wasn't, it was Acupuncture. I had thought it would take more than one treatment but the sprain was gone the next day after the treatment. I knew in my heart that this is what was missing from my life. I started feeling a difference in my knee after a couple of treatments but it improved exponentially after the 4th treatment. I've done about 7 treatments so far and am amazed at the results. I couldn't even walk a mile in November 2021, now in January 2022, I am walking 3 to 3.5 miles. I also started swimming and weight training for my lower body. That's just related to my knee. She has been treating me for a plethora of things like anxiety, sleep, mindfulness, clarity, arthritis, skin care etc. She's recommended several products and supplements which help keep me balanced in between treatments. Now I make a list of things that I want to work on for every treatment and I feel like my life has improved beyond anything I could have thought of. I am not sure why I waited until my 40s to start Acupuncture, I should have been doing this all my life. You know what they say, better late than never. I started this for my knee but I am so glad that I did because Rose has improved my overall wellbeing. Rose is not only a healer, but a kind and compassionate human. She worked out a plan with me that I could afford. I felt heard and seen, not like I was just a quota to accomplish or a number to treat. Acupuncture and getting treatments from Rose will be a part of my life going forward. If money is an issue, please consult with her, it's obvious, she's in this to help people and I have no doubt that she will help you however she can. Few things to keep in mind, it'll take a few treatments before you can see the changes in your body and mind. It'll help if the first few treatments are not spaced out too far apart. I did one a week for a month and then slowly spaced them out. Currently, I get treatment every 3 weeks. Keep an open mind and give her a chance to make you feel your best! read more

I'm blown away with the results of the acupuncture treatment I received from Rose yesterday! I strained a muscle in my back 4 days ago and have been taking lots of pain relievers just to bring the pain down to a moderate level. At the end of the treatment, the back pain had subsided. And I woke up this morning with absolutely no pain or stiffness!!! Additionally, Rose mentioned that I would likely sleep really well last night. I usually wake up several times during the night and have some trouble falling back to sleep. For the first time in several years, I slept straight through the night. I cannot recommend Rose highly enough! Recently, I've experience temporary (greatly) heightened anxiety and depression due to recent personal events. This trauma led to significant physical and mental tension, bad enough that I could barely even concentrate enough to meditate. Nothing I did at my therapist and doctors guidance would lead me to peace or the ability to sleep more than a handful of hours each night. My doctor did state that acupuncture could provide a breakthrough, but not to hang my hopes on it. Hope entered in the form of Rose Anzarouth. I have to update my review because this practitioner has updated her services. Petal and Point now offers the most exquisite sound bath/acupuncture experience in San Diego. Not only does she use crystal singing bowls, but she also has a Tai Loi Gong and Zaphir chimes. I didn't know what those things were before, but I do now, and I am so impressed. She's a unicorn. She takes her craft seriously and has invested so much time and energy to learn how to be the very best sound healer and acupuncturist. Last Saturday I attended a sound bath hosted by Rose at Yoga One studio. I have been trying to find the words to describe the experience but it's really not possible. It's one of those things you have to experience for yourself. Before the sound bath began, Rose went around the room and did a little auricular acupuncture on each person with some predetermined points to help facilitate deep mediation during the sound bath. In addition to that, she had everyone write down one issue they wanted to work on and then needled a point specific to each person. We all did some deep breathing together and then covered our eyes with very cozy eye covers provided by Rose. Then we all laid back on our yoga mats and the magic began. There is something to be said for the combination of the sound vibrations and the stimulation of the central nervous system from the needles. I've been coming to Rose for acupuncture for years now. After experiencing her sessions I instantly decided that I wouldn't get acupuncture from anybody else. So now whenever I'm in San Diego I make sure to make time for a session. I'm always a little nervous about the needles at first, but she makes me so comfortable, and once they start going in and I feel the energy start to move through my body I can't get enough.
