So my girlfriend and I came into Dennis Rigas floral creations because I had a nightmare of an experience at "Heavenly Florist" from that lunatic who owns the store. Dennis was so welcoming and so kind and understanding. he answered all my questions and there was no problem. His prices were half of what heavenly florist wanted to charge me, $70 for a corsage and boutonniere. Dennis charges $45. Also he didn't demand to be paid in advance he happily said we could pay when we picked up the corsages. He had beautiful s t a r g a z er lilies and his roses in the fridge were fresh and large. You could see his back room had several orders going on and there were customers happily waiting for him to take care of them thank you. I look forward to returning here to continue my floral business with him. And will post photos of his wonderful work when I pick it up. read more

I submitted a custom arrangement order online a few days before I needed it. The arrangement was for my fiancé and I's civil ceremony in Central Park. Daniel texted me letting me know that the description hadn't made it through on my order and asked me what I would like for the arrangement. Regis Floral used to be really great at one point, but it seems for the last 3yrs they have really been slacking off. No long stems roses, more green bushes then actual flower over all very sloppy work. My boyfriend walked out frustrated after requesting a floral rose and lily arrangement. This women came out with the roses wrapped in plastic,now instead of fixing it, it looked worst. Some long stem some short roses fully bloomed, She added two lily which looked really stupid (2) it looked like two horns sticking out with so many green bushes stuffed in the vase. I have never been so disappointment to be given this eye sore. My boyfriend tried to be patient and when he surprised me with them on Valentines day he had to apologize for the idiot women who was clueless and made that mess he was presenting to me. He paid 145.00 for a mess, needless to say we are done with Regis, sadly they were known for good honest and beautiful work. They now have hires morons with no taste !!! Compared to other florists in the area, I feel that Rigas is drastically overpriced. I noticed a few really good reviews...4 and 5 Stars but unfortunately I can't give a similar rating from my experience. What follows is my whole experience. My wife saw a beautiful arrangement, at the hospital she works at, and inquired where it was from. She placed an order for a flower arrangement, costing over a $100, on Wed. April 27. for a requested delivery on Sat. May 7, day before Mother's Day giving my cell # with instructions to call when delivery is out for delivery. She was billed on her credit card Sat. April 30. Sat., May 7, I have my phone nearby all day waiting for the delivery call. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and expected t it to be delivered. I waited past 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 8pm....... nothing. Sun. May 8, Mother's Day , I call early, 8:20am knowing they would be busy. I wanted to find out what happened and to also say I don't want it delivered on Sunday because the intended recipient left Sat. evening for a flight, hence the Sat. request delivery. I initially, and surprisingly, spoke very briefly with Dennis, asked him about my delivery and he responded by saying, "I'll call you back....... No apologies for lack of delivery . Four hours later I call to follow-up and he's not there.....I'm told someone will call. I again left my name, number, and a request for refund with one of the employees. I wait another 6 hrs and call and leave a similar message and again I am told someone will call....... no call backs. Monday morning I call around 930am and once again leave a message with an employee and am told someone will call later. Around 12 30pm I call and speak with Daniel, very pleasant but no apologies, and he states he'll take care of my refund and call me on Tuesday which sounded very promising. I don't know why he couldn't take any of my information. Tuesday morning I follow up and am told, by who I found out later is his father,that he is out for a doctors appt. and may be back later. I call in the afternoon and am told Daniel has not returned...and again left a message. Wed morning l call and leave another message with an employee with my name, number and reason. Wed afternoon I call and speak with Daniel's father who says they came by on Sat to deliver and nobody answered was home. I found it very difficult to believe they came by because I had my phone by me. I also checked my phone on Sat. and there were no calls from them. Also, there were no recorded persons ringing my doorbell on my video intercom, no messages or notes on the door stating there was a delivery attempt. Daniel's father states he would take care of the refund after I give cc # . Thu.,goes by and still no refund on billing statement. I call Fri am to follow if refund was made and I again leave a message. Around 330pm I again call, speak again with a slighted irate Danie'ls father who states he did the refund and doesn't mention when I should see the refund. I gave a well deserved 1 rating for not delivering an order placed more than a week in advance, not apologizing for lack of delivery, lying that there was an attempt and having the hassle of trying to contact a person for a refund, leaving numerous messages and hearing all the times a person will call when nobody ever called. read more

We met him last September to discuss our theme of our wedding. Mr. Dennis is very friendly, professional and creative! He provided us with several options/ideas of bouquet styles and centerpiece arrangements. He had the best price and quality flowers compared to the other four florists we visited. On our wedding day, his assistant was prompt and had all the flowers that were on our contract. All of the flowers were fresh, beautiful and voluminous! The flowers were arranged exactly the way we discussed. I was truly happy and satisfied with all of the flowers. Mr. Dennis is truly a man of his word and integrity. I had a very good experience when I ordered three small floral arrangements from Dennis Rigas Floral. It's nice to be able to go and pick up flowers when you need to minimize the cost and cut out delivery fees. You can choose what you like online and have it ready for you by ordering in advance. I was very disappointed with this company. I tried to order flowers on- line for a 99 year old friend. Their website shows many types of beautiful arrangements, so I filled out the form, selected an arrangement and sent it in last night. This morning I got an email from them saying that my order had been cancelled. What?!? I called them to find out why and they said it was because they didn't have the flowers I had selected - they were apparently out of season. So I asked them why they didn't just call me and tell me so I could select another arrangement. They practically hung up on me. This is not the way a business person should behave, and the policy is ridiculously absurd. read more

I am giving a 2 star for delivery. I ordered an arrangement of birthday flowers from FL to be sent to my wife in NY. In the note for requests I specifically mentioned for them to be send before noon. They do not care about any of your requests. The arrangement was ok. But she received the flowers at 5pm. I don't think they spend all day delivering flowers, and if they do, maybe they should let their customer know that they are going to be delivered almost at night. Cute arrangement but next time for a delivery of flowers I will def. go somewhere else. read more

I had Dennis to do the church wedding but the flowers did not arrive at the church. He claimed they arrived early and the church was closed ,eventhough it was mentioned that church will be opened at 12noon. We asked for at least half of what we paid since he ruined the event BUT he only wanted to pay the cost of the flowers for the church and not the damages and inconvenience. He also gives you an attitude. He already lost customers. I recommend to stay away from him. Dont give your business to him. read more
