    New swag for Oscar
    LaLa G.

I've looked everywhere for a larger more preppie style bow tie for Oscar since his current one is two years old and finally broke. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted in other stores and didn't want to have to order online and wait. But I found a great selection at a super price at Petco! My Oscar will be pleased

Allison M. did such a great job with my schnauzer baby Zeus. He went in to be groomed, his haircut looks amazing and when I picked him up he didn't look stressed out. Allison was super friendly and professional and did a great job with Zeus. Also, the lady who checked us out was also really friendly. I love this Petco everybody is always so awesome here!!

    One of many sores!

DON'T GO TO RIGO** I brought my dog here and it took almost an hour and half longer then it was supposed to. While I was sitting in my car I saw the groomer Rigo walking from his car?? Then a half hour after I saw him my dog was finally done. My guy for sure was high, not sure about the rest of the staff. He misplaced my dogs collar and I came back to my dogs leash around his neck and he said I didn't give it to them. It was next to the desk on the ground. Then 3 days after grooming my dog was shaking constantly and his back legs kept giving out. He wouldn't let us examine him or touch his back. We thought it was from tick paralysis because we are visiting in MN and he went back to normal walking wise after some benadryl. Then 5 days after grooming is when we noticed sores and scabs on his back, stomach and back leg so we brought him to the vet. The vet stated this happens in dogs sometimes but it was the worse case he had ever seen. It was mostly from excessive grooming. Which if he was under the influence of drugs he was mostly like careless with my dog and other dogs that day. We eventually ended up taking off 20+ scabs after he healed. To think his legs kept going out from the pain in his back makes me SICK. Make staff changes Petco. I hope everyone sees this and doesn't schedule with Rigo.

We have been doing puppy training with Gaby and it's wonderful. We have completed phase 1 and are moving on to phase 2. Our whole family has learned a lot and so has our dog! It's been great to learn how to have a well behaved dog before the bad habits are set. I will update with our progress!

With 5 cats in the house I find coming to Petco to be more of a regular trip these days. I do enjoy the wide variety of food that is available including a large assortment of natural foods. I also appreciate how clean they keep the store. There is a certain odor to other pet stores that I don't experience here. Very large selection of dog food, aquarium supplies and birds too.

What I wanted from the groomer.

Staff are super attentive and nice, know my dogs Luna and Moody, take great care of them, they're always happy to go in, just waltz right in. Also good seeing consistent staff, same faces which was not the case at the previous place we used. It's all indoor, separated by weight which is also one of the best parts of Aries. Currently only open Tuesday through Friday likely due to staffing. Wish they were open more days! They are a little more expensive than the previous place we used, but worth it. Kong meal/snack is extra or included however you wanna look at it. They do have packages to bring the cost down, pay more up front for multiple days. I think comes out to about $27 a day with the package. They do have an extensive weeding out process which is good because it ensures only quality dogs are there, make sure they get along with other dogs, do ok in the kennel for a period of time. They also require vaccinations and tick/flea prevention. Notes I took when considering them v. Others: * Fecal exam giardia, parasites and coccidia within last 6-8 months * Flea and tick treatment, natural essential oils too ok * Intro 15 min then 1 hr later day free, T-F 830-1030 or 130-330 * hours: 7-1115, crate till 1245, back out till 415 then crated until end of day 6 * $1 per meal regardless if bring food or not * All indoor * No vet on call but has set up with vet nearby * No overnight * Grooming $45-55 * Walk in daycare * $30 full day * Buy 9 get 1 free or buy 17 get 3 free non-refundable Hope this helps other neurotic pet parents like me! We love Aries and am glad they exist for our pups! Especially love the staff! Thank you!

But what means even more to us is that they went far beyond what they said they would do and showed us so much kindness, compassion, and support during an incredibly difficult time. My daughter and Calypso's furmom, Jazmin, was going through cancer treatment and a stem cell transplant, and the team at Sit Means Sit was there for us in ways we will never forget. The staff would ask me how daily she was doing when picking Calypso up either after training or doggy daycare, which Calypso LOVED, bringing me to tears in my car. Jazmin and I are beyond grateful to the entire Sit Means Sit team for everything they did for us. You helped train Calypso, but you also touched our hearts and became part of our journey during one of the hardest chapters of our lives. Thank you for your patience, compassion, generosity, and for simply being there when we needed it most. We will forever be grateful for you and everything you did for us.. With Love, Gabby, Jazmin and of course Calypso. If you are looking for a dog trainer, we wholeheartedly recommend Sit Means Sit. TL;DR: I would not trust Camp Bow Wow with the safety of my pets…read more My parents boarded their two small dogs at Camp Bow Wow for the very first time while we attended a family event out of state. When we picked them up that evening, one dog had a large, pus-filled wound on her face that staff described only as "a scratch." Although none of us are veterinarians, it was obvious the wound was more serious than that. The next morning, our family veterinarian confirmed it was a puncture wound that had become infected, drained the pus, and explained that it would have required stitches had it been treated sooner. Instead, the dog was prescribed a week of antibiotics. Two weeks later, the wound is healing but still not fully resolved. We contacted Camp Bow Wow to find out what had happened because no one had informed us of any incident before pickup. After investigating, management told us our dog had been injured as collateral damage during a scuffle between another dog and her companion a couple of hours before checkout. They also claimed they had called my parents to discuss the incident. That is not what happened. The only voicemail my parents received stated that both dogs were doing well and asked them to call about exit baths. They returned the call on the way from the airport, reached voicemail, and received no further attempts to contact them. When we asked why veterinary care wasn't sought--or, at a minimum, why my parents weren't notified so they could decide whether their dog should be seen--we were told the injury "did not appear to be severe enough for medical attention" and had only "occurred a couple of hours prior to checkout." This explanation was difficult to reconcile with our veterinarian's findings that the wound was already infected and that too much time had passed for stitches, despite the vet examining her less than 24 hours after the incident allegedly occurred. When we raised these concerns, management stood by their account and stated that pet owners are responsible for any veterinary expenses resulting from their dog's stay. When I asked the facility manager, Sally, about their policy for notifying owners when a dog is injured, specifically by another dog, I never received a clear answer--only a repetition of their version of events. As someone who owns my own two dogs and frequently uses boarding facilities, I understand that kennel staff are not veterinarians. I don't expect them to diagnose injuries. I do expect them to promptly notify pet owners whenever an animal is injured and allow the owner--not the kennel--to decide whether veterinary care is warranted. I also expect honesty and transparency as to when and how an incident occurred, which I do not believe we received in this instance. In my opinion, Camp Bow Wow failed to meet that basic standard of care. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend boarding your pets there.
