As PETCO goes it is a PETCO..... What sets this one above others is the STAFF! I shop here often to keep my three furry friends happy and healthy.... And the staff here HELP every time..... Having an advanced age Dog I needed to find a suitable food for him.... A thought provoking conversation later sent me out the door with a food to try and after a week my old guy was looking better, smelling better and shedding a few pounds that made the Vet very happy and tell me to "Keep it up"..... Recently I had a grooming question and the manager of that shop walked me through everything I needed to know and even helped me pick out better tools to maintain my guys at home.... They work like a champ, the information she gave me was PERFECT and all three dogs are much happier for it! When the day ends this is the PETCO to stop at when you need advice and assistance.... Seeing this just killed me. A 25% off bearded dragon for a broken tail? The vet bill for that is gonna be ridiculous on top of that. Being a beardie owner and seeing this. They need proper care. Brought my pet for grooming for and 8:30 appt got there at 9:00 because last time their was nobody there and when they did show up we were told we don't open til 9 am so We waited and they turn us away . I am not a Petco shopper but I do use their mobile vet that comes to the stores for my dogs heartworm testing. At this time the Petco cashier sold me on a pet plan... told me I would get big discounts on vet bills, I could use their vet or any of my choosing. She told me she personally has it and the most she has paid at a vet other than a Petco vet was about $35, with that you get Petco store points and discounts on store items. I was hesitant but signed up with one of my pets for $19.99 for the first month. I did have the option of opting out with in 30 days. With in this time frame I called an opted out. This monthly $19.99 was deducted every month (it was on an acct that I had pretty much idle). On one of my recent statements I noticed the monthly fee had been taken out all along. Well... come to be unfortunately my dog got very sick and concurred quite a bit of vet bills... since the plan was still active it looked like it was going to be a blessing bill wise only to find out I have the "rewards plan," WHAT ? DEFINITELY NOT what I signed up for and was sold! They had no regard for this. Now, why would I pay $20 a month when I don't shop Petco to begin with and take the very, very small chance I might to save a few bucks if even that. I'm not that stupid. I was told the girl didn't know the plan very well, sorry for the inconvenience. REALLY? What a bunch of Bull shit! Watch your back at Petco! While I am on the subject of Petco, my local vet use to get ferrets in from one of their stores that were badly injured from store employees that would throw them against a wall, other employees that got wind of it would bring them in. This is the Petco mentality they have employed ... stupid and on the other hand abusive. WHF? If they are selling small animals they are considered pet shops, I believe if you want a small pet use a rescue. My review is for the store as I have not used the groomer or veterinarian service. The store is nice, easy to find areas of products you are looking for. Great selection, but being a specialty store expect prices higher than big box retailers Great for finding a unique item or a pet supply that a discount store would not have. read more

Staff is always helpful and friendly. Prices are good on some items and bit overpriced on others. Maybe because of COVID the stock on some items are really low, but overall a good store to visit. read more

Got hamsters from here and canned food for my dog. The people that work there are always nice and helpful.

EDIT: it turns out I had a hamster, not a guinea pig, so I'm fortunate I didn't buy a male guinea pig. The hamster would have killed it.

I have to say, Petco has extremely over-priced dog toys. I usually do all my pet supply shopping at Target or Mocha Pets in Tinley Park (they sell the EVO dog food we've raised our pup on), but I was in search of a dog collar and tag and stopped in. They have a machine in the store where you can create a dog tag (ranging from $8-20). It wasn't until I got into my car that i realized it didn't include anything to actually attach the tag to the collar. I had to run back in and purchase what is basically a keychain ring for another $3. Their collar selection was poor and I ended up buying one at Target anyway, I can't see myself back at Petco unless I was looking for a specialty item. read more

I really like the grooming department here. I've taken my Lhasa-Poo here 3 times and have never been disappointed. He never hesitates to go in and loves on the groomers. That give me a sense of comfort. I also prefer taking him here because of the glass walls. Knowing that the grooming area has open viewing, I feel safe that there is no abuse or mistreatment going on. (I've had bad experiences with private groomers before) I highly recommend the Petco in Bradley with confidence. The groomer I use is Maria. read more

The Bradley store has the most amazing staff! So helpful and kind. Becca in the Grooming Salon is the best groomer for my pup! He's a "Teddy Bear", mixed Bichon and Shih Tzu. He get rather long in a short time and when I get him groomed,I like to have him short. Becca gets him as short as possible, but still handsome! Enzo just LOVES her! The store manager, Wendy, will, and has, gone out of her way to help with anything anyone needs! She's a true, kind person! read more

One I got half way home I took a good look at my dog. I was told his eyes his eyes ha been wiped from tears by I do not believe it because there was to much drainage for that short amount of time. For the second time the fur on his ears were cut uneven. One of them are extremely short. I will not be returning to Petco. read more

Left picking up my dog from their groomers frustrated. Erin, I think was her name, did a good job. It just wasn't what I wanted. Although Erin did try her best to listen the entire time I was trying to explain how I wanted my pup groomed that day, the lady with the red/pink/whatever color hair kept talking over me. "The notes say this, just do it like this" I understand what the notes say from previous appointments, but I wanted to switch it up. I'm the one paying up the $40 at the end of it. I may bring him back there next time & I may not. I haven't decided. Oh, i also specifically asked not to cut his long hairs near his ears as me & my brother find it adorable & you can see his long hair chihuahua in him then. What'd they do? I have been here several times since moving to Bourbonnais and I've found the staff here to be helpful. They are very willing to help you find products and see if they carry certain items. Last time I was there, I asked the cashier if they carried a type of cat food in a larger bag. She took the time to check and found it was not carried in the store, but available online. I went online to place an order and noticed it calculated an overstated amount for sales tax, rather than the 6.25% we should be charged as Kankakee County residents. To my dismay, calling Petco customer service takes you to the Phillipines. They have no more U.S.-based phone support for customers. The first person I talked to told me if I were a non-profit, I could fill out a form and I didn't have to pay sales tax. That was not what I was saying. She hung up on me. I called back, the 2nd person understood the issue, but told me to pay the overstated amount and they'd send me a refund??? No thanks. Then I tried to call corporate in San Diego. Their calls transfer to the Phillipines again. I then asked the lady who answered if there was any way I could speak to an American who understands U.S. sales tax. She ended up telling me they charge sales tax on the regular cost of an item, not the sales price that you pay. That's incorrect,that's against the law. She later realized she was incorrect. I will not order anything online from Petco, considering the horrible offshore customer service. Sad to see more U.S. jobs sent overseas. I appreciate the Bourbonnais store having tried to help. I doubt they are aware of how bad the phone support is for customers. read more

This store is really just a big mess. I ran in here to grab wet and dry dog food. There were tons of carts sitting around everywhere, tons of things not stocked and the store is hot and muggy! My dog was panting after being in here 10 minutes and the staff was not very friendly. I got what I needed but will not be back. read more

I really love the grooming & groomers they have at this location. The groomer is always friendly & my dog loves her. They always do a great job & I'm always satisfied with the way my dog looks after I bring him there. I find their prices to be reasonable & wouldn't take my dog anywhere else! read more
