I started praying for direction and miraculously found Carrie. I asked if I could have a personal meet and greet before bring in my dogs, and she graciously accommodated my request. I felt like I had met an angel, she was very kind and made me feel at peace. Today we dropped off our dogs for grooming asking for a "puppy" cut with special attention to ear hair and nails. When we picked up our dogs they were happy and beautiful. This was the Yorkies first time at the groomer, and they can be a handful. One more thing I want to share is Carrie has a personalized service. My Maltese was/is my therapy dog, and I didn't hesitate leaving her with Carrie. My Miniature Schnauzers needed a…read moretrim, and we needed to find a groomer that would take as good care with them as their regular groomer in Elko... and the crew at Dirty Dog more than met our hopes. I explained what I wanted (which isn't a typical Schnauzer cut) and asked for some fine tuning (like de-hairing ears and grinding rough nail edges) and got more than I asked for. Not only were they brushed and fluffed and smelled good, they were also shiny and prancing as though they knew how good they were looking. Such guys. Along with tender loving care, the dogs were treated carefully and with respect and left nearly as happy as I was. HIGHLY recommend these women, and we'll be back often during our 'tour of duty' in Carson City.

All four of them where either not shaved (male dog not shaved) (two females were slightly shaved around their necks but not their bodies). Very choppy and gouges out of their hair. My cat had a deep cut on his belly 1" x 1/2". Sky never said a word when picking up my animals. Sky charged double what she had previously charged me knowing that I would not return after finding my cat cut. Had to take my cat to the vet because of the infection. If you care and love your animals stay away from this place.

We called our retired groomer to explain what happened and what sky claimed and our beloved groomer stated Sky definitely didn't do her due diligence and made excuses to be lazy about grooming these dogs properly. We do not recommend you take your animal to Sky at all. Very very rude and gives false threats when confronted with her terrible work. Hostility beyond belief. Being blamed for negligences and threatening to be reported to animal services, when we regularly groom our animals is a tactic she uses to prevent taking blame in being horrible. In fact, we have many recordings of how our dogs act when they come home from our normal groomer and we have documented the change in behavior from this visit. PTSD exists in animals and our animals show signs of it from this groomers work. They are literally seared. Again, run the other direction!
