I took my toy poodle to this location for grooming on May 24th. Within weeks of her appointment, I discovered multiple painful scab-like lesions across her back that were not present before her grooming. My dog does not have fleas, is not excessively scratching, and has no similar issues anywhere else on her body. As a pet owner, it is upsetting to find skin irritation and painful spots after trusting a groomer with your dog. Whether the issue resulted from clipping, products used during grooming, or another aspect of the service, this experience has left me with serious concerns. I entrusted this salon with my dog's care and left feeling that trust was misplaced. Based on my experience, I will not return or encourage anyone else to use the grooming service at this business. read more

I'm so sad, about the grooming Dpt. I took my dog for just a bath and surprise when I came to pick her up she was shaved, they said she had a lot of knots but I usually pay more so they don't cut her hair and can do extra brushing on her... I honestly was heart broken, they didn't even called me to tell me if it was okay... I just don't think it's okay to just shave them without the owner knowing.... Went to the store earlier today to purchase a gecko I had prepared for, and was refused purchase after an array of rude comments and questions by the employee Erin or Aaron, she had reddish hair. She accused me of being ill prepared and was absolutely unprofessional. She was very discouraging and was unnecessarily rude. I myself work in customer service and I have never treated a customer like that. Additionally, when I commented all this to the cashier upfront, she immediately knew who it was, as if this was a reoccurring problem. Update: Spoke with the general manager today, and he was very kind and understanding. read more

When the register has no associates to see to the customers, its a bad sign. Then a young lady appeared. Said "they'll get you over there" and pointed to the empty register area. Fine, okay. She then goes behind a glass partition to remove her smock, sit, and watch me stand there. Another young lady sitting with her, poking at her phone. I'm not a difficult person to please. But even a bare amount t of effort is needed. There is literally a PetSmart 2 minutes down the road. I'll go there and suggest others do as well. read more

I come here since this is the only place with my dog food. Every time I walk in multiple employees but once you go to the checkout nobody to be found. "Well I'm just gonna put this on the floor" Went and came back. Asked her if she usually responded rudely when being asked for help. You want to hire these young, rude kids because you can pay less, (I get it) I suggest you actually hire people worthy of customer service. This is our favorite store to go to because it's where we got our first cat from Buddy's Place and we love their cat area. Kind of a bummer that I recently drove all the way here because they open at 9am and it said they were open, BUT was told to leave because they aren't going to open until 10am. Warning bird lovers: we purchased a fancy parakeet here a couple of months ago and have given her a loving home. However, I'm not sure who the store bird supplier is, but her wings were clipped way back. This sucks because we are not sure if she will ever learn to fly or have a good life. Her wings were clipped so short and she is at an early developmental stage! It is so sad. She just flops around her cage. I gave 3 stars because, to be fair, we have had mostly good experiences here with helpful employees regarding reptile care and supplies. But, I feel so sorry for our little bird. I am going to have to take it to the vet to see if we can offer it some physical therapy to promote flight. read more

I've been coming to this Petco for a year and every employee there has been very helpful. About a month ago I got a dog (new addition to my 1 cat family) and they've helped me every step of the way. Food, treats, beds, obedience classes, you name it. They make sure I take advantage of every discount I can get and also have taken things back willingly that didn't work out. Kristy is the trainer and is fantastic! My dog is turning in to a well behaved young man. Lydia, Jenny, Amanda, Everyone is just great! read more

Update: I spoke with the manager who was helpful and understanding of what happened with us. Although I was cognizant and respectful of the fact that they were having an adoption event that day, it was still no excuse to make a customer wait 6 hours and not communicate with them about the situation during that entire time. They ended up taking an extra 15% off of my total. However, once I left and was calm enough to finally take a good look at my dog, she looked like she had a mullet and the person who groomed her completely shaved parts of her fur off by her tail, to where her skin is showing. I was too upset by my experience and eager to get my dog home, and I regret not doing a full inspection of her when they first handed her to me. I called back on Monday to check if they had even expressed her anal glands (which was one of the main reasons we took her) and the person who answered the phone told me they keep no record of these things... This petco is horrible. They caused trauma to my pets eyes and took forever to resolve the issue. After constant calling and reaching out through various mediums they finally agreed to issue a check to take care of the vet bill. This was last week. Even after the incident my brother decided to give them his business. BIG MISTAKE. When asking for help with locating a certain brand of food he was ignored, and another associate came out and asked if he was the owner of the pit bulls (whom were not in the store at the time) . He says yes, and the associate proceeded to ask him to leave, saying he was not allowed to be there, per their manager. SERIOUSLY ?! You would think they would be happy he was still offering his business to them after everything. In terribly disappointed by their lack of morals, professionalism and service. 10 thumbs down ! read more

I've been coming to this location for over 5 years. I'm mostly an aquarium guy so I don't have the same issues all those dumb dog lovers have. I've always been able to get what I need in a pretty timely fashion. No complaints. I would however recommend dipping plants bought here in bleach solution as they have snails in those tanks if you don't want them in yours. read more

I have taken my dog to this location to get her nails trimmed before, and though she is a little hard to handle, the team worked together and took a good 10 minutes with her to make sure they did as much as they could. She mostly doesn't like the noise when they grind her nails. This time I took her in just to get her nails clipped and service was awful. The girls took her in for about 2 minutes, clipped her back nails and barely even TRIED to clip the front. They said she was growling (she's a very tiny dog that weighs all of 15 lbs, if that) and nipping at them. I asked if I could take her around the store to calm her down, seeing as we only spent 2 minutes so far even in the store, and they said "Noo... sorry.." What the heck?! I spent $10 for 2 minutes of zero effort. I even watched them try to clip her nails and there wasn't much struggle. I don't know. I'm never coming back to this location again. Hopefully, the other locations hired employees that put even a tiny bit of effort into doing their job. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Today, I went here with a couple of friends and our dogs. We were there to shop and work with our dogs on behaving in public. One of my friend's dog is very shy and skittish so he wanted to work with her on being more social. We walked in and an older man immediately swarmed us and stared swooping down at our dogs, scaring them. He started hassling us about bringing our dogs to classes, etc. We politely listened before walking away. We walked through the store shopping and giving our dogs treats for good behavior. My friend's dog was shaken up because that petco employee had repeated reached out at her even though she was trying to run away from him...and he says he is a dog trainer. Really? A few minutes later the man, whose name is Rodney, walked up to me and said "Ma'am, step outside with me for a minute". Um...no. I asked him why and he said it was because he needed to speak with me outside. I said absolutely not and he could talk to me right there. He then proceeded to tell me that I'm not allowed to train dogs in the store and that he knows I'm a dog trainer. Um...what? I suppose he thought this because I was holding the treats. I told him I am not a dog trainer and that my friends and I were just working on training our own dogs while shopping. He repeatedly said "are you sure about that?". Yeah, I'm pretty freaking sure. He was extremely rude and repeatedly told me to step outside with him. I was beyond uncomfortable and offended by his rude and inappropriate behavior. He finally walked away in a huff. We stayed for about 15 more minutes. During that time a woman that I'm assuming is the store manager followed us around and stared at us, making us extremely uncomfortable. She literally stalked us the entire time we were there. We finally decided to leave, and I went to check out. Of course, wonderful Rodney was working the register. Being the unprofessional weirdo that he is, he asked someone else to check me out. This woman, not sure of her name, spoke to me like I was a freaking criminal and was incredibly rude. I am so beyond annoyed and pissed off with these unprofessional idiots. I have never in my life had an experience like this. Rodney clearly knew nothing about animal behavior and has NO social skills whatsoever. To be completely honest, he is creepy.
