Bed for her playpen, low to the floor so she can't jump out. :-/

Yes, they have dog training here, I was very happy to learn about it! I signed up my puppy for fundamental training as recommended by them. Bambina knows basics but she's not potty trained yet and I was very excited to have her potty trained. Few days before the class started, I got a call from the trainer and asked me what things I expect to learn, I told her potty training, leash walking and some tricks.. she said we will do all that. Fundamental training has a 5 sessions of 45 minutes each and graduation which you show up and the trainer will ask a dog to do a certain things.

Like most of the other negative reviews I've read thus far, the problem is with the grooming. I originally had an appointment for Monday 4.19.21. My appointment was cancelled and I received a call from Kim to reschedule for another day which was fine. We rescheduled for Thursday with Erika whom a family friend had already said does a bad job, but Milo really needed to be groomed so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. I was charged $91 but gave a $25 tip because initially Milo looked great. When we get home he's super thirsty, we refilled his bowl at least 2 times. He barely touched his dinner and I notice he's crying. He keeps licking his private parts and normally you just assume he's being a dog. Today when we take him for a walk, he's constantly stopping to lick his privates. When we get home from his walk I decided to check what was going on. I was baffled at what I saw, I was saddened and livid with the abuse that was inflicted upon my puppy. No one should have to pay for your dog to come home in pain, and bleeding due to the carelessness and the clearly terrible handling of animals. I will say when I contacted management they were very helpful, which I appreciate. However, it doesn't fix my dog, it doesn't stop his pain and it doesn't take away the fear he will now face when he has to be groomed. I will let the photos speak for itself.

I'm very disappointed of how my dog came back home. I took my dog for grooming this afternoon I went and pick him up and when I got home I was preparing his food and I see blood on his bed and I found out he is bleeding from his paw. I looked at it closer and they cut his nail very short till the point he was bleeding a lot. He has been so down since and it's so upsetting seeing him that way over something that could have been avoided if they were more careful with him. I tried to contact this location multiple times and nobody picks up.

    Petco is where Mini goes.

A shout out to Brittney, we are always satisfied. My Miss Mini (Black toy poodle) nails are a perfect length. Mini loves going Brittney. Never stressed-out, leaves calm. She is an asset to Petco. Thank You!

I purchased the Richards Pet Calm because me and my daughter's fur baby are heading to Houston soon. Fur baby has been with me for quite a while, waiting for his fur mom to get settled, so its time to let him go back to fur mom. The vet said that sedatives can work either by making the cats calm or hypering them up, so she suggested the organics pet calm as an alternative. Last night we gave the fur baby a trial run of the pet calm product to see how it may, or may not chill him out for his upcoming journey. It took about an hour to kick in on this 9 pound ball of fur, but he did appear to be super mellow and headed to his blanket for his 99th cat nap. Heading to his blanket early is odd, so I have to attribute his early night to the pet calm. As far as taste, he did not seem to like it even when I added it to a treat. Richards pet calm was recommended for both cats and dogs.

The Petco on Jericho turnpike is my place to go for when Im in the need of food, supply, or pet advice. All the employees at this store are so knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions and great advice. I am a new cat rescue Mom with very little knowledge on how to raise a rescue kitten, I have found it very comforting to know that I can go to this petco store and ask for advice for my Jellybean (kitten). All the employees at this location are very kind and helpful. One day one employee made a cardboard litter box Shield to help with the litter being scooped out by Jellybeans paw. This was not necessary, but she went ahead and did it without any questions. that shows me that they love what they do and working at Petco is what they love to do. It takes a special kind of person to work at a pet store. I can see their hearts in their service and I appreciate all of their help and dedication. I will continue to go to this pet store as long as I have a pet. Thank you employees of Petco on Jericho turnpike, I am your fan! You all Rock!!!

They cut my dogs nails and completely did not touch the front right paw. Now I have to go someplace else and pay to have one paw done.

Terrible. They Cut all my dogs nails real short on 3 paws and didn't touch one paw at all.

The worst haircut my dog has ever gotten in 10 years!

Most recently, I saw Dr. Lotus Altholtz, who was very kind and gentle to my 2 nervous cats (though my cats might complain that she wants me to cut back on their treats a bit). The biggest stars though, are the assistants (nurses ?) who help keep my 2 calm and on the table during exams. They are all very friendly, and help put both my cats and me, a very nervous first time cat owner, at ease. Sometimes appointment waits run a little long, but its a small price to pay, and they are certainly more timely than any of my doctors! I would definitely recommend using them as your vet!

I was new to the area and sold by the good reviews, as well as a close family member who had used their service for *decades*. My experiences started out great--they have several people who do the visits and I only met one of them, but he did great with my cats and was clearly an experienced pet person. This was never an issue. There were a few bumps, like when I asked for my plants to be watered, and they said that it "wasn't necessary" since I would only be gone for 2 days, but I know my plants, and of course I come back to them wilted. But the cats were fine and they even used the hand-vac to clean up extra litter around the box, so I was fine letting small things like that slide for the sake of a consistent relationship with a small business who did a perfectly fine job for the premium ($43 per "30 minute" visit) which they charge. I was just glad to have consistent and readily available cat care to trust when I went away. I like to think I've always been an easy to deal with client, having super friendly and low-maintenance cats, a clean apartment (leaving the A/C on for days when I'm away in the summer), giving plenty of notice when booking visits, paying well in advance, and leaving all supplies neatly on counter. Over the last several months I'd noticed several inconsistencies with what I'd come home to find after being away--the most disturbing being both the cat's water fountains completely dry after 4 visits in January. This could've been a life or death situation if I didn't come back when I did, but nothing like this had ever happened before with them, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt if this being a one-off and didn't mention it. I always fill water fountains before I leave, and water they take several days to run completely dry--the steam gets lower for a day, and then goes out. This means to be left DRY, the only explanation is that the water fountains were not checked or refilled for several days in a row. After coming back from a weekend trip 2 weeks ago, I noticed several more inconsistencies, things which I've addressed with them before, and decided to send an email mentioning these, and finally deciding to mention the water fountain incident. My intention if this email was a tone of appropriate concern over these building inconsistencies, and really just needing and expecting to receive a reply like "so sorry this happened, we will be sure to be mindful with future visits when addressing the issues you've mentioned for future visits". Instead, they clearly took my comments very personally and replied very quickly saying that I clearly didn't trust them and they were going to mail me my keys and not come back. I was pretty shocked at the lack of professionalism and impulsive reactivity of this response, so I replied with another long email apologizing if I offended them, explaining that the reason I'm mentioning these things was because I DO (did) trust them and just wanted to ensure the same quality of care I've been paying for since the he beginning. With the water issue, the brushed it off saying that it was over a month ago so how were they supposed to remember what happened (this lack of response only validated my concerns). The screwed up thing is that after these defensive and unprofessional responses, I basically ended up begging them to stay, if for no other reason than I had booked them for this coming weekend, paid in advance, and would now have to scramble for last minute coverage or cancel my plans entirely. Additionally, my cats, like most pets take time to get used to new people, and hiring someone new causes them (and me) unnecessary stress. I don't like leaving anything less than a 5 star review for deserving small businesses, and unlike Naomi from Pet Sitter's Club, chose to wait and make sure I was level-headed and not emotionally reacting before posting my experience. All in all, Pet Sitter's Club provides adequate care for a premium fee as long as you don't provide any feedback that can potentially be perceived as criticism, don't expect consistent service, and don't want to feel valued as a customer. Now that they've showed their true colors, it's clear I should not have given Naomi and James my trust for as long as I did.

I contacted Michael after a recommendation from our vet, who herself had noticed the escalating change in my dog. Michael was a god send! Not only does he really know and love dogs, but he's a great teacher. He was great at helping me understand the way dogs think and taught me what I needed to do in order to better command my dog and give him the boundaries, direction, and leadership he needed to feel more calm and confident. Not only did my dog LOVE our sessions with Michael (he would even wait for him by the door when he knew he had "school"), but he learned very quickly and is now a LOT calmer over all. Situations that were once stressful and even sometimes dangerous for us are now calm and much better controlled, and we can resume normal life activities again. Michael taught me to understand what my dog needs from ME, so that I can get better behavior from and provide a happier and calmer life for HIM. That being said, remember that dog training involves training the owner in order to train the dog, so you also have to put in the work! Just calling Michael and not doing any of the training on your own between sessions will not solve anything! Additionally, Michael is very professional and kind, is quick to respond to questions or problems via text, email, and phone, and is very flexible with his scheduling (we did the private in-home sessions). He takes the time to address all your concerns, and always aims to use safe and positive reinforcement training methods, rather than other trainers I had researched that use methods that include things like shock collars and consequence-based training, which I personally did not prefer to use for my dog if I could avoid it. Calling Michael was the best thing I could have ever done for my dog, and for my family as well. I can't say enough about how great our experience was with Michael! I would highly recommend him!

From her very first appointment, I was always happy with the quality of the grooming and never had any concerns. During our last visit in March, there was unfortunately an accident. After bringing Chloe home, I noticed her toes were bleeding. I immediately called the salon, and Desai asked me to bring her back so she could apply a powder to stop the bleeding. The following day, I also noticed a cut on Chloe's ear that had formed a clot. I called again to let them know, and I was told it should heal on its own. They apologized and offered me a 25% discount on Chloe's next grooming appointment. At no point did I make a big issue out of what happened because I understand that accidents can happen, especially when working with animals. I appreciated the apology, accepted that mistakes happen, and fully intended to continue bringing Chloe there. Four months later, when I tried to schedule Chloe's next appointment online, the website gave me an error instructing me to call the salon instead. When I called, the groomers told me they weren't sure why but that they could no longer groom my dog. After speaking with the manager, I was told it was because Chloe had "conflicts with multiple groomers." This was both shocking and untrue, considering Chloe had been groomed by the same groomer for over two years and had never had issues before. What is most disappointing isn't the accident itself, it's how the situation was handled afterward. Instead of taking responsibility for the injuries Chloe sustained while in their care, the salon chose to shift the blame onto my dog and refuse future service. Rather than having an honest conversation, they created a narrative that made it seem as though Chloe was the problem. For a large company like PetSmart, I expected much more professionalism, accountability, and integrity. Loyal customers who have trusted you with their pets for years deserve honesty and respect, not excuses or blame. It feels incredibly unfair that after standing by them and understanding that accidents happen, I was ultimately punished for something that wasn't my dog's fault. This experience completely changed my opinion of this location. The accident could have been forgiven, but the lack of accountability and the way I was treated afterward cannot. I hope PetSmart takes situations like this more seriously and ensures that long-time customers are treated with the fairness, transparency, and respect they deserve.
