Avoid grooming at this location. I am shocked at how my dog looked after a groom. I was called and told my pup was aggressive during nail trimming so I promptly picked him up and understood he was problematic for the groomers. What I didn't expect was that my dog would be completely shaved except his head and tail. He looks insane and he is playful, but not aggressive. Again, no issues with stopping the groom if my pup was biting, but why did they shave him down to nothing? We won't be back.

This was my puppy's first Time at the groomer. He is a very nervous and shy little puppy and therefore I was concerned how he would do. So when I Picked him up a few hours later I was so pleased to see that my little guy that only looked very handsome but he did very well. I will be coming back for all his grooming from now on thank you so much! Janesville Wisconsin!

I thought that pet grooming was now open with curbside drop off only in Wisconsin. Sad, Janesville Petco isn't doing curbside. You must go in to drop dogs off?

We own a breeding pair of Boston Terriers. We also have 2…read moremales, one from their first litter and another male from their most recent litter. Independently, they all behave well, add 3 other dogs and chaos ensues!. We contacted John for help. He quickly identified behaviors they needed to work on, one being impulse control and worked with them 3 times a week. Then we met with John and he showed us what he was doing with our dogs so we can continue the training. At the end of each week John works with our dogs and us to ensure the training transfers from John to us. Our dogs are significantly calmer now and look to us for directions. We have young grandsons who have been able to play with all of the dogs and not be afraid of getting knocked down His methods have been very successful for both us and our dogs. John has a knack with dogs. They trust him and have fun figuring out what behaviors he wants them to do. We hope to have John a part of our dogs lives even as the training piece is ending. He shares great insights, and all while in your home to maximize positive outcomes.

John came to our house and amazed me at how he knew exactly how to correct our dog. He came 4 times and I can see a big difference already. She is like a different dog. I agree with Mika, the hair cuts the groomer would give our senior dog was never even (always…read morechoppy like Mike said), & when we talked to the groomer to explain things we wanted - like cleaning up the area under the tail and keep it short for cleanliness reasons; the hair in that area was also chopping like they used a scissors & not clippers so it would be smooth & comfortable for my pet. Our dog is in the Scottish breed and the breed is always groomed with long eyebrows standing straight out over the eyes. And a beard down the chin. When we took our pet in the next time we pointed these things out requesting no scissors cut but the more standard cut for the breed. When we came to pick up our pet she was completely shaven, body, legs, face, everything. We were appalled by the results and when we questioned the groomer about the cut she said (while she stood there with her arms folded and her hip sticking out in one direction and a condescending look on her face and said "I've been a groomer for ____ yrs and I know how to groom a dog". Well, missy, I beg to differ if this is the result. And she said we asked for something different each time and maybe we shouldn't come back. We had recently moved to this area & had our last groomer for 9 yrs. We wanted this place to be our new groomer and we took our pet in 6 times and our wishes were never followed so this was the last straw. We got our money back for that visit and never went back. Our last visit was a little more than a year ago but I'm writing this now because I saw PetSmarts new push for new clients. They probably need more clients because they drove the other ones away. Really poor attitude from the groomers - particularly the ones who have been there the longest. Final word - BEWARE

I think PetSmart treats my dog very well. He's a pitbull hound mix who is fear reactive (afraid of…read morea lot of things). Jade the groomer is extremely patient and kind with him. Even when he pancakes himself to the floor so he can't be moved, or is shaking like a puddle of goo, she is patient with him and gets him where he needs to go with kindness. I can't comment as to hair cuts as my dog is short haired, but his nails are cut right and grinded smooth. He appears to have been brushed. Only once did they forget to do his dew claws. He comes back from a bath, very clean, soft, and smelling wonderful. I would recommend them over Petco. I left Petco when my dog came back obviously injured in some way as we could not touch his hindquarters without him whimpering. Other posted comments on Petco also mentioned they felt their animals were probably being abused. While, I can't speak as to the other groomers at PetSmart as I have mainly only used Jade since I found her over a year ago, she is by far the best groomer I have ever had!

Brenna was just incredible helping us with our rescue, June. We've had her for a couple years and…read moreshe was always super leash reactive, barking at just about every dog, bike, and skateboard that she saw. After 3 sessions at SMS, June is able to walk with us with no problem. I genuinely wouldn't believe it if you told me she would improve this much a month ago. I can't recommend SMS and Brenna specifically enough!

Fantastic experience. We have a highly, highly energetic 2 year old Wheaton Terrier (Tilly!)…read more During our consultation, Greg took the time to understand our specific goals we had for Tilly's training. He walked thru the training technique and schedule, being sure to answer any questions or concerns we had. We scheduled three, full day trainings - spread over 3 weeks so that we would have practice time in between each lesson. We would drop Tilly off in the AM, pick her up in the afternoon. When we arrived back at the facility, my husband and I had an hour with the trainer and Tilly to walk through what they went over in the day. We also got a "Report Card" after each lesson that highlighted how it went. Super helpful. Brenna trained Tilly on the 1st and 3rd day and Jada trained Tilly on the 2nd day. Each were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful and knowledgeable. They walked through the training collar process, commands and walking habits. They helped Tilly go from pulling on her harness to complete loose leash walking, how to get into her "Place", how to heal, and how to stay focused while around other distractions (dogs, cars, people, etc). Facilities were clean, well managed. Highly recommend Sit Means Sit, Brenna, Jada and Greg!
