I wanted my 1 hour appointment I could pay an EXTRA $15, they would do that... but not of Fridays. I left WITH Sadie and said that wasn't going to work. Spoke with the manager on my way out. He apologized but basically said "that is just how their reservation system works." It allows overbooking. He offered to comp me a box of $15 biscuits on my next appointment if I was charged an extra $15. That was nice, but nope. Not going back.

The groomer shows her beagles at dog shows across the country, including Eukanuba & Westminster. She is very savvy at how to groom many different breeds. We take our dog there every 1 to 2 months, based on time of year. If ever there is an issue, it is easy to discuss & resolve the issue with the groomer. Her grooming place is clean and does not smell foul, as the previous reviewer stated in 2012. The floors of the boarding kennel have hot water heating. We choose to not board our dogs anywhere. They are a core part of our family and go with us or else we hire someone to stay with them/check in on them if we need to be away. Thru the years, we have learned how much skill, patience and physical effort/labor is involved in grooming a dog. We highly value this groomer, her skills & personalty & would never go anywhere else. Also, if you message Mary, she normally replies within 24 hours. We cannot say enough positives about this groomer! Her other forte is training dogs & their parents,via AKC-based curriculum. With our previous aussie, Sir Bentley, we did a series of 7 Canine Good Citizen Classes, which served us well, all of Bentley's life and into our next 2 aussies' lives.

The only reason he got the job is because his father, Dr. H, and his mother, Debbie, own the practice. That's nepotism right there. At least, some of the nurses, have more empathy and compassion for the pets and their owners, than Dr. Horowitz and his son, Joshua. Like most doctors, they already have one foot out the door. On our latest visit, Joshua, only saw our dog for barely even 5 minutes. Listened to his heart and touched him in a few spots and then ordered some tests and out the door he went. Didn't care to listen to what was going on with our pet and was actually even rude. I considered making a complaint to the office manager but it's useless, since as mentioned above, his father and mother own the practice. Of course, they will side with their own son. Dr Joshua is also not very knowledgeable. When asked, what was wrong with our dog, he answers it could be multiple things. Even we knew that. Granted, yes it's hard to discern without doing some comprehensive tests but at least show some compassion and don't berate the pet owners and take some time to listen to the concerns of the pet owners. But I guess nowadays they'll let anybody become vets. All in all, if I could leave negative stars, I would have.

We just got our second golden retriever puppy from Famn Damily Farm. We got our first a year and a…read morehalf ago. Both dogs are beautiful, incredibly healthy, and have been amazing additions to our family. And I really can't say enough good things about Famn Damily. I've been there twice now. With my family. In both cases we drove 240 miles to get there, just because we realized what a special place it is, and because we knew we didn't want to get our puppies from any place else. You set foot on the farm, and you see dogs that are truly living their best lives. They have so much space to run and play, they are so well cared for, and so loved, and so clearly happy!! And healthy. And the facilities that have been constructed for the dogs, that clearly took a great deal of time, money and effort to build, are very impressive. Melodie Hammond runs the farm. And she's amazing. I know that my future dogs will be golden retrievers, simply because I know I only want to get puppies from Melodie, from Famn Damily, and Golden retrievers are what she breeds. The last thing I said to Melodie when I left the farm yesterday was, "see you in another two years"

I got my Maltese from a very wonderful rescue and he came from a terrible hoarding situation. The rescue did groom him but with so many dogs to clean up, the grooming was bare minimum. And Malteses need to be groomed regularly, or they get so tangled so I made an appointment for him. He was a little bit timid at first and I wasn't sure how he would do at the groomers. But Kathy took him out of my arms and he settled right into her. Dogs know who they can trust. He came out of there looking great and very happy. I wouldn't take him anywhere else.
