Hate this place with a passion. Don't come here. I've been going to Petco for YEARS to get my dog groomed with no issue. The last time I went, the groomer told me that they loved my dog and really enjoyed grooming him. Apparently so much they placed a lock on my ability to book online so I have to call them to book every time instead of the easy online way. They never told me this either. So rude and lack of transparency. You lost a loyal customer because you made it harder for people like me to access services. And no, please don't ask me to call you. I've tried online customer service with no help. I prefer if you just let me know what's changing instead of making me jump through new hoops without any notice or reason. Shame on Melissa the groomer. I can't even book at another Petco now because my account is locked and I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. What do you mean "based on my dog's personalized needs and previous appointment history, I need to call" now? Did my dog's needs suddenly change after the 50+ appointments and I have no clue about it? I have no idea what's going on. Absurd. Unacceptable. Awful. Treated Kobe (puppy) with so much care! He's never gotten any of his shots before and the fact that he wasn't scared after just told me a lot! We decided to go here to get our pup groomed! We were pretty antsy with our pup because we found a flea for him. We were able to get a groom for him with flea shampoo. Although it was a little pricey ($90), Bri did an amazing job, and was so careful and positive about our pup. She let us know she didn't find any fleas, and how our pup was amazing (besides the blow drying) but I was really satisfied with it. The cut almost took 3.5 hours, which was great because it allowed us to flea bomb our place. + we got to get our flea medication, flea spray & some treats for him with the amazing price matching policy at petco. Manager is a bully. I have been reaching out to petco corp. For help sense the day after Thanksgiving to no avail! Scale was not zeroed out i requested that he correct it. He couldn't do it. Threw the cookies on the counter told me to take them and get out! So besides ripping off every customer that purchases items on that scale , he stole from his own company! I am 77 year old woman have never been spoken to in that manner. At one point I asked him if he was going to hit me! Told me to get out and wasn't allowed back in store. Scary to think this out of control man is in a position to deal with customers. Very disappointed in how district manager Flat out lied to me about getting right on it. I was a regular at this store purchasing items every couple weeks! Today I went in there to get my dogs treats and some dog food! My total came to 96 and some change, I pulled out a 100 dollar bill, and Ron said "we don't take 100 dollar bills! Mind you I was owed about 4 dollars so it wouldn't hurt his bank!! And as of when I left this morning there were no signs ANYWHERE stating they would not take a hundred dollar bills!! What was topper when I called a couple other petco's guess what, they accept 100 dollar bills!! Not to mention Ron the manger had no tact or people skills! read more

I booked a grooming appointment for my dog but then received a phone call with them trying to reschedule. They said the online booking system was wrong even though they showed multiple openings for the day (Saturday). Umm... ok. I then asked to book the following day (Sunday) and they had nothing available. The person on the phone kept trying to suggest a weekday to which I said would not be possible since I work. "How about Tuesday? Ok, not a weekday.... What about Thursday?" Yeah.... I just cancelled. I wasn't hopeful they'd do a good job if they didn't seem to want to listen. read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever received. This place refuses to let you buy any of their goldfish. They want to know what size tank you have and how many fish you have or even expect you to bring them a water sample before they let you by the fish. I was so appalled when I was told I couldn't even buy a fish for my mom for her birthday. They told me they will not and it's against their policy to sell you an animal to be given to someone else. Dude it's my mom's birthday what the heck. Thats like saying I CAN'T BUY MY OWN CHILD A GOLDFISH. Come on people, DO better.... read more

It's okay, it's a Petco. Prices are high for pet supplies and their fish never live too long. I'd suggest Midway fish and pets down the street. I still come here to check it out and when in a pinch for aquarium stuff. I've used the restroom here several times, even during the Covid boom, but now they won't let you. So basically the place is kinda wack. I'd give 1 star but the company donated a ton of money to Three Pitties Rescue which is commendable. read more

I've been going to this Petco since this location opened a few years ago. I especially liked the fact that Missie came from Petsmart to this Petco. She and Amanda have always been extremely helpful in providing me information and suggestions regarding food and littler for my cats. I also love the fact that this loctation is only two miles from my house. Employees are always courteous and inside of store is impeccably clean. I love this place! read more

It's not mentioned anywhere but they have a self serve dog wash area for $15. There are three wash areas right next to each other and provide the shampoo, conditioner, brush, towels and an apron. Pretty standard wash area. They clean everything after you're done so no need to worry about cleaning up. Right now they're asking to make an appointment because of the pandemic so call ahead of time. Also if your dog is a little aggro and you're worried about any incidents happening that I would recommend mentioning that too. They're accommodating and will have it so they book only one dog for the wash area. Grateful to have found this location to have one. My dog hates getting a bath with the garden hose but didn't seem to mind the bath at all. One thing I would recommend bringing is a double sided short leash so you can clip your dog in. I struggled a little because my dog kept facing me so washing his head was a challenge. There is a little loop where you can clip them in. Oh another thing that was nice was that there were stairs so you can guide your dog into the bath rather than picking them up and putting them in the tub. I was worried about having to pick up my 50lb dog by myself but was happy to find I could just walk him into the tub. EDIT: I knocked it down a star I forgot to mention they do have a dryer but it didn't work. No worries though I used the towels they provided and my dog dries pretty fast. Tho the towels were pretty small for a big dog. Thank goodness it was a hot day. read more

Cass grooms all three of my beasts She does an amazing job. (I have two poms and a corgi mix) I followed her from her last location. She always pays attention to detail. Takes care of my mediumly aging dogs and all their moving leg joints. I'm super picky about their nails and she always gets them just right. read more

I took my dog Zelda in to get groomed on Friday and found out I let her rabies vaccine expire so they couldn't take her in. Luckily they had the Vetco opened and I was able to get that done on the spot. I reschedule my appointment for first thing Sunday morning. Megan did an excellent job and Zelda was so happy when I picked her up. The price was good, the service was great and everyone was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place. We absolutely love this Petco! We purchase food for three large dogs every month here! The attendants that work at this store are super helpful, super nice and super caring! You can't walk through the door without them saying hello! Petco is always fully stocked with what we need and their prices are good! We will continue to patronize this business and are very glad they are in our neighborhood now! read more

I took my dogs to the Redondo Petco on Pacific Hwy to be groomed. The first time was ok. The groomer was very nice and went out of her way to make my dog comfortable before I left her. My dog looked great, her fur is so soft, and she was happy when I picked her up. Only disappointment was that her nails were only clipped a little bet. Could hardly tell they'd been clipped at all. Second time was infuriating! Check in went fine, was told it could take up to 2 hours and that they'd call me when he was finished. I went shopping at Fred Meyers next door and, since I was there for an hour and a half, decided to go by Pet o to see if my dog was done going to avoid a trip back after taking my groceries home. When I went in the manager, Selena, was just finishing up checking a dog in. She took it back and started Grooming it despite knowing that I was there. After about 10 minutes she came out and, in a nasty tone, asked if she could help me. I started to tell her that before heading home from shopping I just want to see if my dog might be ready to go. I barely got 2 words out before she rudely told me that they said it could take up to 3 hours. I told her that I was told 2 hours and she told me that I was told 3. I told her that he'd been there for an hour and 40 min and she told me that he hadn't even been there an hour. To prove herself right she looked it up and, after seeing that I was right she responded "barely an hour'. I asked if he'd been bathed yet wanting to know how close he was to bring finished and she told me that if I wanted him done quicker I could pay extra for it. Not sure I've ever encountered such a rude, condescending, employee anywhere before. And the fact that she is the manager just makes it that much more frustrating. And the icing on the cake? They didn't even cut his nails. I did talk to the store manager but felt like she just blew me off. Needless to say, I will not be returning there or referring anyone else. read more

I have become a "regular" at Petco Grooming and try to get there each month with my big and little dogs. I love, love, love the customer service for me and my boys. The groomers treat my dogs as I treat them and that is important to me. You can just tell that they are not just groomers for the job. They love the animals and most probably have animals of their own. I just feel comfortable going there and this is my one and only stop for grooming. I highly recommend the groomers at Petco. Also, the other staff that works there is Very knowledgeable about everything pet related. Although that is their job, they are more than happy to talk with customers about their pet needs. Also, I Always put a tip onto my grooming charges. The staff highly deserves it!!!!!! read more

Thought would take a short time to go in a give my pet a bath and spoil her since she gave birth a few weeks ago, but my high expectations were short lived, took long to get verification of rabies shot, then had to wait in line to still pay for the bath when i could have done that when they were trying to verify rabies info, after that still had me waiting for a tub to get cleaned,then had to wait for the vent to be changed after i had been there a good 20 min waiting for everything else. there were people changing out vents so had to wait on that even tho it was fast but just the fact that at this point i was already irritated i could have been done by now. When giving my dog a bath the water things did not work water was cold took a while to warm up and then the shampoo and conditioner machine also was out, lady told me to use the bottles, as i almost finished the dryer machine was super cold and had no pressure whatsoever so drying took longer while my dog was shivering and crying cus she was cold, then when asked if there was hot air she seemed to gt irritated as she had already seemed, so i just decided to start towel drying her, another customer came in and was gonna give a bath to there dog and the person in charge grabbed one of my towels from the 3 that were given to dry off the other bath to get it rdy for the other person, just horrible if i would of known it was this bad and expensive i would of drove all the way to normandy park were i usually go, just tought would of given it a try, but definitley will not ever be stepping foot in there at least for baths. Thought i would give it a try since its conveniently close to home don't mind paying just not for horrible services and machinery that does not work. read more
