HORRIBLE &TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! My dad is looking for a place for his dog for grooming but needs sedation. I recommended this place since it's close to my place and has vet clinic and grooming in one place. He went there to examine the dog since they said it is required examination if sedation is qualified. Examination plus prescribed medications my dad paid $125. The Vet doctor said the dog is healthy and okayed to be sedated for grooming. Initially he was given estimation to pay $700-800. When we called to set an appointment for sedation and grooming now they're saying blood draw needs to be done first before sedation, in other words another expenses again. Full REGRET for coming here!!! If I was allowed to give 0 star here I will give 0/5. read more

I took my pet in for her rabies vaccine & her other yearly shots. They only gave her the rabies vaccine because she pooped everywhere. And they did not want to deal with her !!!! I paid $ 84.00 & & 40.00 for her rabies. They did not give her any other shots. I call in to get a refund & they tell me the $ 84.00 was a hospital visit fee. WRONG. It was for the other shots they never gave her. I will never bring any of my dogs here again for vaccinations !!!! read more

The young man who helped at the register, it was super friendly, however I saw some poor man asking for some help and one of the workers was extremely rude to him and spoke to him like he was a child and just super demeaning. I couldn't believe how rude she was to this man and I could not leave without taking this picture of her so that everyone is aware of how rude this lady was. I'm in the cat food isle as a worker comes up to me and told me that she needed me to walk outside until they open at 9. I looked at my watch as it was 8:59 - you've got to be kidding me. I asked when they open she says 9, I said it is 9, and she said "it actually isn't". Made me walk outside as the clock turned 9am. I'll go elsewhere from now on. Open your mind to the fact that customer service anywhere else would've welcomed a customer, not tell them to leave your store to "wait for 1min". If it's less than a min before you open and the door was open, I find that so rude. Absolutely ridiculous. Try locking the door if you're not open. read more

This location is smaller than most Petco I've been to, but it is in the same shopping plaza with my Mom physical therapy, the reason I came by today was because my auntie and uncle cat recently ran away still remained missing, their children were so sad. They assigned me to look around for a new orange tabby, and it was my lucky day, I went inside and found Salem. It was thru another organization called Kanes K9s and Animal Rescue, I spoke with Kendra, the adoption process was quick and easy, within an hour after we paid our adoption fees via Zelle, then Petco let us take Salem home. Frankie did a wonderful job grooming my dog. In two years since adopting her, no groomer has ever been able to cut her nails. When we cut at home, we only manage to get a couple at a time before she is too stressed that we have to stop. Frankie was able to do what we could not. So eternally grateful! Check the equipment before taking it home! I purchased a $270 water filter. While cleaning out my 100-gallon tank, I opened the box to find the hoses in a grocery bag. Water in the filter bay with used filters still inside. The smell was horrible, and the water spilled on my clothes and floor. It's super inconvenient during a cleaning. Something for the inconvenience would've been great, instead, I was questioned if I used it. read more

I took my Maltese poodle & Kira took her in & we decided on the cut she needed & Kira took it upon herself to give her a shorter cut, using the excuse that she was matted. My dog was not matted!!! The professional thing to do was to call me & let me know if there was an issue, but how dare she take it upon herself to decide what to do with my dog!!! I was extremely upset & and I will submit a formal complaint to the manager. Kira left my Maltese with no hair. If you love your pets do not allow this dept to groom your dogs. read more

Problems with GlowFish tanks and Customer Service I have been a regular and satisfied customer at Petco, especially impressed with the friendliness of the staff during my recent visits for buying fish for my child and for about a decade prior. It's a convenient location for me, and until now, my experiences have been positive. However, my latest encounter over a product issue was highly disappointing. I initially purchased a Glowfish Fish Tank a year ago, which had an integrated filter that was difficult to clean, leading to uncontrollable algae growth. I replaced it with another Glowfish tank without an integrated filter, but this too had significant design flaws. The tank's top did not fit over the filter, causing water leakage. Despite my efforts to modify and fix these issues, the tank continued to leak. When I returned to the store for assistance, the staff members I had good experiences with were not present. In their place, a manager with red hair handled my situation. Her attitude was dismissive and disrespectful, in stark contrast to the earlier helpful and friendly staff. She seemed to ridicule my concerns, and at checkout, I was unexpectedly charged an additional fee. Her demeanor suggested that she didn't take my issues seriously and even implied that I should shop elsewhere. She said "it would be silly to write a negative review about this, maybe you should buy your fish somewhere else"... well here it is. 1 star. Totally preventable. This incident has left me frustrated and disappointed, particularly because of the negative treatment I received from the manager, which was unwarranted and unprofessional. I hope this review alerts other customers to the potential quality issues with Glowfish tanks and the varying levels of customer service at Petco. In the picture you can see the section I needed to cut out of the lid, and the hot glue I had to apply to keep the filter from pumping all of the water out onto my counter. I would have brought it right back but the store was closed, my counter was flooded and I had my daughters fish in there. Aqueon tanks don't seem to have any issues out of the box, i'd recommend those instead and hope they remove these flawed glowfish tanks from the shelves. read more

We have been taking my dog to their grooming services for a few years now and unfortunately the quality and care has gone down. Our dog has sensitive skin on her behind and belly, so we ask them to leave those areas alone when she gets a coat cut. The last like 5 visits they have continuously cut her fur down in those areas and have left small cuts, resulting in her licking and being uncomfortable until it heals. We just took her in and requested yet again to have those areas left alone and again she has come back to us with irritation from them cutting those areas low, leaving cuts that she continues to bother. Regardless to who we have spoken to they continue to ignore this request and we have to deal with the aftermath. Due to this lack of care we are taking her elsewhere. I am very disappointed and disheartened for our dog being treated this way. read more

I had already disposed of the dead fish and he basically told me, unless I brought the dead fish in, how would he know that I was telling the truth? Worst grooming experience we've ever had. We've been to many different petco groomers since we move so often from the military. This made me not want to ever go back to a petco. We left our dog for a haircut and bath. His usual haircut and length is in there system and we always get the same cut and usually around the same length. They completely botched his haircut and I assume tried to fix it by completely cutting all his hair off. We did not receive a call like we expected to and luckily we just went in after 3 hours to check to see if he was ready and the groomer had left and locked the grooming area up. Luckily the store had keys so we could get him. The store had almost closed and had we not came to check, he might have had to stay there overnight!
