    On our recent trip, we took our 2 cats with us bc we were planning on staying a couple weeks at our Farmhouse but we only stayed a week due to all the rain so we left prematurely & came back here to Florida. Anyway, our 2 cats were very upset the whole trip, as it rained & rained, didn't want to be in the cage in the car, threw a fit the whole way back, oh la la :( Soon as we get back, it's raining like a monsoon here also & there, at my front door, is a little baby kitten sittin on my doorstep. Wet, cold, shivering, malnourished, starving with a harrowing meow, cute little baby kitten. Yes, God gives us the most wonderful gifts when we least expect it. So, hubby & I pick her up & bring her into our garage, feed her & let our other 2 cats out of their travel cage from the long stormy drive. They were so happy to be home & the new kitty was so happy to get a home. That made us all happy, as we are now a happy family of 5. Just like Pirate'cola the city of 5 flags. We now have one 3 legged pirate cat, "Skipper" & his British plundering wench sissy "GinGin" and now, a stole away conquistador (French oyster) named "HuÎtre." Oui, all week has been a train wreck. Thank God for Petco. Kitten food, flea baths, wormer, new digs, beautiful "la vie rose" pink rose collar, toys etc., Babysitting, acclimating, moi adorable new petit trésor baby kitty "Huître" has left us exhausted but feeling like one big happy family, eating & sleeping well during the week-long monsoons of Pirate'cola. Très magnifique! Thanks to Petco's awesome kitten inventory we quickly got everything we needed, plus got signed up to the rewards program to get rewards for every future purchase for Huître, Skipper & GinGin. Oui oui, we thank you for your awesome assistance in saving little Huître. Elle est à la maison. (she's home) Petco & Huître, has proved both, a unexpected treasure. Like Benjamin Franklin once said; "when your good to others, your best to yourself." Merci Beaucoup. Queen of Pirate'cola approved!

    I use to love buying my saltwater fish and invertebrates here but I won't ever buy here anymore. Because their tanks are terrible, they even had a handful of fish dead in them. Why can't they hire someone who is actually passionate about the tanks and clean them and make sure the fish are healthy and stocked well. All of the snails and hermit crabs were pretty much all dead. So had and they have very over priced I can drive just as far and get them from a Company who specializes in saltwater aquariums.

    My dogs started getting groomed here and Crystal is their favorite groomer ever! I've never picked them up from the groomer and seen them so happy! They're busy, but they're kind and easy to work with.

    This is a small store but they carry a variety of products and have healthy brands. The staff are always helpful and friendly.

    Daniel was a life saver when it came to our sweet girl Piper! We rescued Piper in November of 2025…read more As she became more comfortable and adjusted in our house, she became more territorial. We tried different training techniques, research, and after months of nothing truly addressing the aggressive - territorial behavior, we knew we needed help. She was scaring people when they would come into our home. Putting her in another room (even in her kennel which is her safe space) made her become destructive and worsened her anxiety. Lorenzo's training style is much more than just obedience. It is about training your dog to have confidence in you and to respect you as the leader. Daniel educated us about what was driving Piper's behavior, what her body language means and what she is communicating when she behaves a certain way. He was incredibly patient and thorough with his teaching to my husband and me. He explained everything to us and ensured we were comfortable and understanding of the training techniques. We saw improvement in Piper in just one session. We had three more sessions with Daniel before she boarded with him. Piper now is confident instead of anxious, listens readily, and is substantially less anxious/aggressive when people come into the house and they get to see how loving our Piper girl is. We have one more session with Daniel and we have already seen such a drastic and incredible improvement! The hardest part of the training is training ourselves to be consistent. Daniel truly made an incredible difference for her and taught us skills that will help keep Piper and others safe. Daniel has a deep passion and love for dogs, and we are so glad we worked with him!

    The owner is a very understanding person but they only train through extreme harsh treatments your…read moredog will suffer soft tissue damage to their neck My vet said that my dog was sick having damage done to his hips where he was being pushed as hard as he could to sit instead of teaching him to sit without hurting them off least training is all about extreme pain they believe in shock collars turned up as high as they go and these came out of him and his partners mouth that I would never have a well-trained dog but I would only have a glorified pet My German Shepherd is only 4 months old He's doing very well but at the same time like a toddler they're going to test your limits you can teach them without torturing them as a person that grew up with abuse I can tell you I don't respect them I despise them your dog may do what they're told because they don't want to suffer pain but that's not the same as loving and respecting you five star dog trainer has showed me in two training sessions complete off leash training and not once has she had to hurt my dogs they immediately do what she or I ask without one bit of pain I tried to show him these techniques he then put him on a leash and immediately jerked his neck causing my dog to yelp and extreme pain truthfully I think he enjoys it I wouldn't recommend him unless you don't care about your dog. I was made to feel like I was uneducated because I wouldn't abuse my dog to teach him he grew up in a house where my grandmother raised Scottish terriers And we were never allowed to hit them yell at them or anything and they won lots of dog shows had lots of ribbons and lots of points but these people will bully you and it's about the money for them for eight sessions for over $2,500 I was supposed to get on and off lease training I had no idea it was going to be through pain and suffering five star for two dogs off leash training and teaching my rescue dog my other dog that's a rescue to get over her fear in public not once has she ever heard him and never made me feel bad or uneducated my values just on the line with dog abuse.

    I recently brought our miniature schnauzer to Donna at Vanity Fur with very specific instructions:…read moreI asked that his few small mats under the pits of his legs be worked out or trimmed/ cut and that I did not want him shaved- Something she did before without consulting with me. Miniature Schnauzers can mat easily because their traditional cut leaves longer hair on the legs, chest, and beard. That longer hair traps dirt, moisture, and debris, especially if they are active and live in areas with high amounts of underbrush and leaves. Instead of having a respectful, professional conversation with me, Dawna made snarky remarks to me in front of another customer, saying our dog would look like "Swiss cheese" and "look stupid," but that she would do it anyway. She even added that she prefers to "shave him naked" rather than have him look like Swiss cheese, and dismissed my concerns by saying, "It's just hair. It will grow back." This was unprofessional and unnecessary -- especially saying it in front of another customer, which made me uncomfortable and embarrassed. As a paying customer, I do not not hire a groomer for what she wants to do; I pay them for what I request, provided it is safe for our dog. I expect respectful communication and clear explanation of options -- not sarcasm or ridicule. A good groomer should work with owners to find the best solution for the dog, not belittle their request. When I hire someone for a service, they work for me -- not the other way around. I'm paying for what I want done, not for what they'd rather do. I will not be returning and hope this feedback encourages Donna and Vanity Fur to practice more professionalism and respect for future clients. Based upon my past interactions with Donna, I fully expect her to double down and leave a baseless and falsified response to justify her rudeness and unprofessional behavior. Nothing says "professional" like blaming your own paying customer when you get called out. Instead of fixing the problem, I fully expect Donna to deflect, and made excuses. These photos of our sweet little guy were taken the day after his grooming after the small mats were trimmed and as everyone can see, he doesn't look "stupid" or like "Swiss Cheese" and didn't need to be shaved like the owner preferred. It is our contention the Donna was rudely pushing the lazier route of shaving him to save her extra work and time. Additionally, just as I expected, I received a nasty text message from Donna in which she vowed notify other groomers in town to blackball us as customers and she falsified the majority of her response to my review. This is one really nasty vindictive business owner.

    Stopped in today to pick up a Christmas present for a friend's cat. I found what I was looking for…read morebut in addition they had cat treats on sale so I picked some up to go along with it. The sign stated buy 4 get 2 free and when I arrived at the register they did not ring up this way so the manager arrived and with his help was able to establish that I had picked up two kitten packs. He immediately brought me two eligible packages and the transaction was completed. Kudos to the cashier and manager. I shop this store quite regularly and have never been disappointed with their customer service! Happy Holidays!!

The phone experience was honestly terrible from the start. The employee who answered didn't introduce themselves or even greet me properly. They pretty much just answered the phone with "PetSmart" and that was it. I asked if the store sold rabbits, and the woman on the phone sounded annoyed and simply said "no." I then asked if she had any recommendations on where I could go instead, and instead of being helpful, the conversation basically ended there. I said "okay, thanks," and she hung up immediately. I understand stores may not carry certain animals, but basic customer service and phone etiquette go a long way. If answering simple questions from customers is that irritating, maybe don't put that person on the phones.
