    Sadie, my princess

On Saturday, I set up bath appointments at Petco on Walnut in Rogers, Ar. for our 2 fur babies. Sam was our groomer. It was our first time bringing in our fur babies for a bath and nail trimming. I was nervous because I don't like leaving my babies with just anyone. Sam was absolutely incredible! You could tell he is not only an animal lover, but he knows how to treat animals with love and kindness. Our shepsky, Sadie, was filthy! I was worried he wouldn't be able to get her that clean considering how dirty she was. Plus she hates the blow dryer! When we picked her up and she came home...I almost cried! Sadie was so clean, shiny, and fluffy! He fur was WHITE! as it shoud be! She smelled so nice and I could tell she was feeling so much better! We also had Twix bathed and nails done. He is an older chichi and does not like strangers. However, he must have liked Sam because Twix was extremely handsome when he came home! He smelled good, his nails looked great and his fur was so soft and fluffy! I cannot say enough about Sam!!! He went above and beyond!! We will continue to get our babies groomed as long as Sam is there! A+++++ all the way!!! Thank you Sam!!!!

I just had the worst encounter with one of the employees at the Petco on Walnut. I can only naturally assume that her name was Karen, and that she was the manager of the store because of the way she didn't help me, and looked so busy and full of herself and her self importance. I was trying to look at the fish, get some information on them and buy some, but there were no employees around. After a while of walking around, looking for someone and looking at the fish, I got curious because they had new fish in, acclimating in their bags in some of the tanks. I got close to see what was in the bags and when I reached up to touch one of the bags and gently turn it so I could see what was in the bag, this person from out of nowhere starts yelling at me to not touch the bag and that I can see what's in them when they're released. That was the end of the interaction. She didn't say "can I help you?" She didn't say "do you need something?" She offered zero help and berated me as if I was some toddler banging on the glass. It would be easier and less stressful on the fish for me to just take it already bagged, which by the way is what the Petco in Fayetteville does; they are so much more friendly and helpful, and their tanks are in way better condition too. (Speaking of stressful, this Petco put two lawnmower blennys next to each other in their small adjacent tanks and they were really trying to go at each other. Poor guys.) When I finally did get help from an employee that worked with the fish to answer my questions, his immediate response was "just go to Worlds Underwater in Fayetteville." Well, that's exactly where I just bought some fish, snails, a crab, and some corals. Amazing customer service there, beautiful aquariums, and healthy fish and corals. Worth the extra drive. Plus their prices are very comparable. I have no reason to go back to Petco.

Let me start by saying I don't come here very often. Every single I got some fish from here and they were sick and it wiped out my entire tank. I came in for a heat lamp for my bearded dragon since mine stopped working, I noticed these two on my way back there and my heart sank. These two beautiful snakes should not look like this. This is a disgusting reflection of the care they receive while there. They need vet intervention or someone who really knows what they're doing to help them. This is awful.

Loved the care and quality of service that Mushu received at Petco this past weekend. Morgan was amazing!

To really understand the psychology of your best friend/animal is priceless. Taylor is so patient, encouraging, and reassuring as I learned to patiently let my puppy be a puppy but also encourage him in the right ways. Now, when I walk him, he sits and lays down when any dog is passing by (at my request), and most everyone says "wow, great job" to me, impressed by his behavior. Awesome experience, awesome service.

Up at all hours of the night letting her out to the bathroom but waking to surprises in her crate the next morning. We were all tired. Until we found Tayler. Tayler took Jinger into her home and made her part of her family for the week. I received pictures and video throughout her stay, constant communication about her progress, playtime, and pictures from her camping trip. When Jinger came home a week later she went from being a puppy we had to watch like hawks to a member of the family. In one week Tayler transformed Jinger into a potty trained and well behaved young lady was not only potty trained but also learned some commands. Tayler is amazing in her craft and our family is thankful!

Kass Kennels & Training did exceptional work training our new cavapoo Max. We are fortunate that…read moreCOVID affected our family in a positive manner with the unexpected addition of Max. I grew up with dogs, but my wife and daughter barely knew bones from barks. Max was actually a really good puppy, but our efforts to train him were unsuccessful despite the review of several online resources. So we of course looked online only to have a difficult time figuring out who was going to be a good fit for training Max. A lot of websites had photos of larger dogs like german shepherds. Max had nearly topped out at 16 lbs and looks like a stick with ears when wet. He is shy around other dogs, and we worried about putting him in a school with other larger dogs. Then we found Kass Kennels & Training. Kass had loads of testimonials with lots of different dogs. They also had a video on their Instagram showing dogs learning to "place" and avoid distraction with the aid of chickens (NW Arkansas has lots of chickens - thank you Don Tyson). The pooch in training would reach the stage where they could sit in the middle of a chicken pen and ignore all the clucking, hunting, and pecking going on. Rocky Balboa used chickens while training to beat Apollo Creed, so Kass had to be awesome. We enrolled Max in a 14-day course. He stayed at the training camp, but during his time there, we were updated with emails and videos of his progress, which we could see was transformative. When we finally got Max back, Spencer and staff gave us some training equipment, a K&H cooling cot, and a set of instructions for ongoing training. Max was of course happy to see us and actually excited to show us his new ability to follow commands and walk next to us without a leash. Max will "place" and hold his position until released if we need him to be out of the way in certain situations, like when a delivery man or trick or treaters are at the door. One of my favorite things is that Kass also boards the dogs it has trained. We have used this service, and while he is there, Max receives a training booster because he participates in the training program with the other new dogs. We have referred others to Kass, and they have all thanked us for the great recommendation. Our family is lucky to have found Kass Kennels & Training for our wonderful cavapoo Max, and we recommend it for anyone looking for a school and possible future kennel for their furry family member. #yelpnwa

Huge shout out to Spencer and team at Kass Kennels. We sent our 1 year old Golden Retriever Gracie…read morefor the 2 week board and train. We traded some messages with Spencer during training, and I was hoping for an emphasis on off leash recall, stay, and heel so that we could spend more time on the bike trails around Bentonville. Spencer let us know that he'd like to keep Gracie a few extra days to cement some of the behaviors we'd requested... the program is not a cookie cutter and is tied to dog's progress. So after 17 days Spencer brought Gracie to the house and made sure the handover/transition back to us went perfect. As to the results... we couldn't have asked for any more.... Gracie is focused on the task at hand. It's been about ten days and we have been reinforcing the training every day. Today I was able to walk Gracie off leash around the Bentonville square and down the Razorback Greenway. She was not distracted by bikes, walkers, other dogs, or even the squirrel that ran across the path in front of us. It was unbelievable. Thanks Spencer!
