Super disappointed in the pet grooming experience I had at this location. I brought my 10 year old, 12 lb shihtzu-mix in for a routine bath and haircut. I requested they give him a trim, and the groomer, Rianna, pushed back several times on what I asked for saying she didn't recommend doing a cut since it's been "colder outside"... it's 70 degrees today keep in mind. I tell her I'd like it cut anyways and she finally agrees. I get a call about an hour after dropping him off saying they are stopping services on my dog per their policy because he was being uncooperative. Uncooperative to them was defined as sitting down, turning around, and overall being uncomfortable and nervous. They said they couldn't continue the cut but asked if I could come back tomorrow. In the past 10 years I have never ran into this issue once with my dog - he has been to other Petco locations before. They relayed they'd been super busy and seemed like they just didn't want to do their job. Very unprofessional and seems like they have some inexperienced groomers. Definitely won't be back to this location or any Petco for that matter after the poor experience I had. Don't waste your time here. read more

We've taken our large dog here a couple of times for grooming and it's been fine each time. I don't really stick to advanced appointments so I've always booked them day of, Petco has consistently had same day availability, even on Sundays. The aisles are kind of narrow, but they've had everything we've ever needed in stock. I think in comparison with Petsmart, the employees are a tad less knowledgeable and slower (if at all) to ask if you need help finding something, but their prices seemed a little cheaper. Petco : Petsmart as Walmart : Target, or better yet Walgreens : CVS, the comparison is close to equal unless you're really paying attention. read more

Went to Petco and purchased $57 worth of goldfish housing, food, and supplies. Prepared the tank for the fish and return the next day to purchase our "feeder" goldfish. Store manager would not sell it to me because each goldfish requires 2 gallons of water. My tank is only 1.5 gallon. This is despite the fact that they house these greater than 100 "feeder "goldfish in about a 10 gallon tank. Makes absolutely no sense to me. I have a very disappointed six-year-old who had picked his fish out the day before and named it. Manager was adamant that she would not sell me a goldfish. Really? Double standard. read more

I went into the store to buy fish for child's new fish tank and was interrogated on fish tank and my knowledge of fish by one of the employees claiming to be the store manager. I was then denied service because of my lack of knowledge on fish species. I find this unsettling and offended. read more

The new people and especially the new manager are not only poor in customer service but are not competent in what they are trained to do. Horrible job on nails when the service and competency of the groomers used to be great. The newest employee/ supervisor of grooming is horrible in service orientation. I went to this location a few weeks ago during some amazing publicity grand re opening they were having. The radio made it sound like amazing deals were to be had. Instead I got cheap hand sanitizer, a really cheap ball (that is shredded fuzzy that my dog made a huge mess with) and a weird reusable bag. We walked around the store about 4 times trying to find stuff and received zero help. Then once we did find stuff it was in the wrong place which we found out about when we got to check out and it was priced wrong. It is also very small Ill just stick to petsmart. read more

I shop here often due to the proximity to my home. However, my mistake was using the grooming salon for my dog. One more than one occasion, the manager of the salon has been quite unfriendly. If she doesn't like her job, she should find another one and make room for someone who actually enjoys working with people and animals. The kicker came today when I brought my dog in for a bath and nail clipping at 11 am. I called at 3 pm to see if she was almost ready. 30 more minutes, they said. At 5 pm, I headed over to get my dog regardless of if she was finished or not. On the way, I received the call that she was ready. So let me get this straight. It takes 6 hours to bathe a 10 pound chihuahua? 6 hours without food, water, or bathroom breaks, stuck in a cage. On top of that, they cut her nail quick pretty badly, and made her bleed, which I didn't find out until after I paid, since they don't let you see your animal until you pay. I will not be subjecting my beloved dog to this type of treatment ever again. read more

Poor customer service especially at dog grooming office. If they treat people like this just imagine what they do to your pet when you leave them. I had an appointment for 10:00 which is the time the store opened. One employee let us in about 5 minutes early, not that we asked. We went inside the groomers and the employee inside the grooming area was pissed we were there. We stepped out and walked around for a minute because she said she wasn't ready. Another customer was let in early to shop as well. The grooming lady followed us and rudely ordered us outside the entire store. Almost accussing us ofbreaking in and not believing an employee let us in. The door was locked so we couldn't get outside. Finally another employee unlocked the door so we could leave. I checked my watch and it was exactly 10:00. So all that rudeness and hostility by their employees for nothing. Again, the only reason we went in before 10:00 was that one employee told us too. I thought they wanted us early so they could start processing my dog. Anyways, they won't have to worry about me coming early as I'll never step into another pet I again. read more

Very disappointing experience with the grooming! One of the groomers suggested that I go with a "summer cut" for my schnauzer. I guess I didn't realize that "summer cut" meant almost completely shaved down! There were long patches left here and there and I'm pretty sure they didn't even trim her claws! Nice enough folks working there, (though a little pushy for my taste), but I will not use the groomers again nor would I recommend them to anyone I know! read more

I would have given them at least 4 stars for the last grooming session my dog had about a month and a half ago. My large dog was in need of a good bath and nail buffing, I did ask for the de shedding treatment also but was more than willing to opt out of that if they didn't have time for that. He had been into the vet for a routine check up where they didn't give him any vaccines as he wasn't due for any, but they did take a small amount of blood to test and make sure everything was okay. That was at 9AM in the morning. I come in at 3:30PM having informed the groomer over the phone hours before that he came from the vet today for JUST a check up and had blood drawn and he just needed to get a quick bath and nail buff. The man on the phone had no objections and said they could get him in that day at 3:30PM. I packed up my kids and dog and drove all the way over there to have the rude girl at the front desk of grooming tell me no they won't be doing his grooming today and that we can come back tomorrow because he got blood drawn more than 6 hours before that. I asked her why I wasn't informed of this when I told them over the phone and she basically blew me off and said to come back tomorrow. Well no, after that I won't be back. If someone tells you over the phone something that prevents their dog from being able to get groomed that day TELL THEM OVER THE PHONE. I don't know if anyone there has kids or knows how difficult it is to get kids in the car for nothing and waste gas getting there but they showed no remorse for their mistake in not telling me before I drove over there that my dog would have to wait a day that we can't even do because of work and school schedules. I called the store for the manager and though she did apologize once she didn't seem to care much and I don't think she took it serious enough to explain to the groomers to inform people of things like that that can prevent them from being able to groom their dogs. I would get it if I never said anything over the phone but I made sure to tell him and he didn't say a thing. No excuse for it and I will not return to this location for grooming again. read more

i never write reviews, but i was so upset with this store that i felt compelled. i took my daughter there to buy some guppies and learned that first we needed to have a filter and let the water cycle for 24 hours. so, we did that, and we went back the next day to purchase the fish. we were told that day that petco had a 10-day policy to refund or replace the fish if they were to get sick or die. on day 10, one of the guppies began to lay at the bottom of the tank. we did as much research as we could that night and then replaced some of the water. the guppy continued to lay at the bottom and by morning, she was dead. i returned to the store hoping on day 11 they would still replace her. the cashier told me that it was not a 10-day policy but in fact a 30-day policy. i said, "great! then we'd like another guppy." she said she could not sell me another guppy unless she tested my tank water first. i told her i was not going home to get a sample, so she offered me a refund instead. i took the refund and then asked to speak with the manager. the manager said the policy was on the back of the receipt, which it is not. their website is listed on the back of the receipt, and even there, i could find nothing about having to do water samples in order to purchase another fish. i get that they don't want to just sell fish after fish just to have them die, but ummmmm... do you KNOW HOW MANY DEAD FISH I SAW IN THEIR OWN TANKS?! i was so upset by this "policy" and having to leave with my daughter empty-handed. at least the other guppy is still happily swimming around. if petco wants to refuse to replace the fish --WHICH IS WHAT I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD DO-- then i will refuse doing business with them. they lost a customer who frequented them for cat and gecko pet supplies, too. booooooooo petco. i will be spreading the word. read more
