Brought my Blue Healer for grooming and Day, the groomer did an excellent job! She asked questions so I felt like she really cares about individual dogs. Finding out that my dog had recently dug a hole and rolled around in it (WHY? LOL!) let her know that Callie was unusually dirty! Learning that she was doing a lot of shedding gave Day insight into what kind of shampoo she would use along with a lot of brushing. Letting het know that Callie had been licking one foot, Day let me know that she had found a small cut between her toes. I found Day to be caring, affable, an excellent representative of PetCo and I will ask for her in the future. read more

The staff here are wonderful. Joey (my dog) came home with a wonderful shine on his coat, ears clean and toes done nicely. The price is very reasonable. They work really good with him. He should enjoy it more but has separation issues from me. read more

I brought my mini schaunzer Romo to Petco in Sebring Fl to get groomed and ALL the groomers there along with the manager Barbara were amazing! They all work so hard and are wonderful people! I don't usually ever write reviews , in fact this is my first time ever doing this but my experience at this Petco was SO STRANGE . I got told by a very pretentious and overly dramatic woman that I was KILLING MY DOG by feeding him a certain brand of food . I was shocked . Granted it was just her opinion but she's raising her voice at me and I didn't want other pet people to hear this Lady screaming at me telling me what a horrible killer I am for answering her question when she asked me what i feed them . She then asked me what kind of dog I began to explain his ancestry and she blurted out " OH SO A MUTT" - disrespectful I almost laughed at her for being so dramatic but I definitely was offended by the way she treated me. I love my animals I went for advice and got a disrespectful opinion instead . read more

Great store all around pretty much with the exception of having enuff supply for the demand in the dog food department. The thing is it's there brand that they carry. Fish dept girl is jamb up when she is not busy helping other customers and you have little time shebis big help. Best part overall is the gromming salon is the best around town by far on services offered and the great time scheduling with flex if needed by a the girls. They all seem to have had great training and it gets better every time for are dogs. The dogs love it so I love it. It's always a pleasure to go there. JP read more

Against neighborly advice, I booked a grooming appointment for a Saturday afternoon (first available, according to the grooming department). Price comparable to area groomers-----slightly cheaper. Most unpleasant individual I've encountered yet in a Petco-----in the grooming area, no less. Not fit to interact with the human public, much less the pets. Walked out before the 'stylist' could scowl any more fiercely; the forehead creases were beginning to resemble ditches. Life is too short to pay for ignorance, at the very least. By the way, the 'salon' was empty on a Sat. afternoon. I don't wonder why. Left a phone message for the manager on arriving home. read more

My Groot is my baby!!! I don't leave him with anybody and I am very very protective of him. I was so scared to leave him the very first time he got his first haircut. Then Cheri came out and started petting him and talking to him and started making me feel comfortable. Fast forward a year and here we are. I will never let anyone but Cheri take care of my baby. The grooming service is top notch. Rachel is the only groomer I can take my Dexter too. She is a dog whispered. All the girls are very well trained. Only place I would even consider taking my boy. read more

We were in Avon Park Florida for a few weeks with our goldendoodle puppy. She learned how to swim, and also learned there were many "burrs" around the lake, including sand burrs!! They became matted in her hair, and I called Petco to see if she could be groomed. We were told to bring her in right away, and when I came back to get her---she looked AMAZING! Her hair was cut perfectly, the burrs were gone, and the price was perfect too -I thought it would cost so much more considering how she looked when I brought her in! I would definitely return to this PETCO for grooming!! read more

We took our two little chi weenies in. Both for a bath, nail trim and the long haired one for a hygiene trim. We were "greeted" by a young girl who clearly didn't want to be there. She proceeded to scold us for giving our pups calming meds before arrival. (they had never been to the groomer before and our vet suggested we give them the meds so they wouldn't be anxious.) Then she changed the price we had been given on the phone because she was trying to add on a treatment we didn't ask for. They didn't even trim all of their nails and when we mentioned that the dew claws had not been done at all, she lied and said "oh, yes they have, they are just rough." They were NOT "rough" they were still curled under sharp and pointy! All of this cost us almost $80 dollars and we left knowing that we will just do it ourselves from now on. This store was horrible. There were products all over the floor. There was no one around to help you. When you asked for help it took 3 calls to finally get someone. At the register they were very rude. They maded it seem like I was bugging them be of my bussiness. I will never go there again because of the service and there prices are way to high I can get the same products from Pet Supermarket 5 to 10 dollars cheaper and they give spot on customer service. Took our almost 3 yr old mini schnauzer here for his first grooming at Petco. We do most of his grooming ourselves but he goes in to be groomed at many other locations as well and is always well behaved. Twenty minutes it took us to just complete the paperwork. Our little guy loves everyone including one of the other groomers who came out from behind the counter when we first got there to pet him. The second groomer stayed behind the counter sorting out paper work which should have been very straight forward to do and then came out to pet Teddy while towering over him and squeezing his hind quarters. She says Teddy bite her.....I wonder why. He didn't bite her at all but he did snap at her. Said she had to ask the manager if they could groom him because they don't groom dogs that bite. Teddy is the friendliest dog we have every had and is good with all people, except her, and with other dogs too. I said forget it, we'll go somewhere else. Teddy was great at VIP in Avon Park. Won't be going back to any Petco for grooming or shopping every again. read more
